Unknown number

Finally it's weekend, the week had been long, fun, and stressful sorta as we rehearsed and practiced our song and adjusted our lyrics for the main event in two weeks during our free time.

Freddie's dinner had become our regular joint for lunch, Randy and I were cool, and being friends brings a whole new vibe. So yeah LA so far has been okay.

Well it's Saturday today, we all head to the beach early in the morning as it's becoming a normal routine for us all.

The boys surfed for a while, while the rest of us, the girls and I just settle in the early morning sun, rubbing sunscreen and tanning creams all over our face and backs, all in fancy bikini's and bathing suits.

Once it's noon we all head over to Freddie's dinner for lunch... Today just seems to be turning out normal as usual, I need a break... I guess?...

Well for now ain't got no plans for the day so I just flow with what I'm given, even if it's making me feel sick.

Lunch finishes and everyone seems to have their day already planned out. Either going on some date, shopping, playing video games, and whatever keeps teenagers happy.

We all headed back to the cabin, Lily and Luke leave an hour later to a date on the other side of town as Luke promised to give her a tour.

Cam decided to go over to Blue Cabin to play video games with the guys, Tammy and the other girls went out on a girls... Whatever they call it...

It seems it's just me, right here and alone without any plans for the rest of the day.

I lay across my bed with my back on the head rest while I call my parents. They asked how everything has been and I tell them it's been okay and I'm blending in perfectly... Not entirely a lie... Yeah?...

After the call, I tried to draw, or to write some lyrics but I don't feel the urge to draw or write. So I pick my guitar, the one Dave had bought for me that had my name on it. My heart aches at the thought.

I played a few chords and do some freestyles to while away time. My phone rings and pick it up to see an unknown number...

"Hey!." The voice on the other end of the line says.

My heart leaps a little for I don't know what... joy?... at the sound of the voice and before I'm able to reply the voice talks again.

"Hey Dami?... Are you still there?." The voice sounds really familiar but I can't place it.

"Uhm... Yeah sorry, who's this please?." I asked half hoping to hear that name that's in my every thought.

Dave!. My heart is beating faster as I wait for his response.

"Oh sorry it's Damien, Cam gave me your number just now."

" Oh... " Is all I could mutter, trying to hide my disappoinment.

"Yeah, I heard you were home alone sorta-"

My thoughts block him out... What is he proposing?...

" -uhm... Would you mind is we went out together?." His voice calling me out of my thoughts.

"Now?." I asked excited to be getting out of this cabin to some real place.

"Yeah if that's okay."

"Totally... So uhm... Is it like a date?."

"Yes..."

He says over the line and I can feel my lips curve into a perfect smile.

"Alrighty." I said trying to sound a little more Britain.

"Ok... So I'll come over in fifteen minutes?."

"Ok I'm gonna get dressed now."

"Super!." He exclaims happily.

Fifteen minutes later...

We are on our way to some where he claims is his favorite spot.

Well Damien's is a cool guy so I guess, his favorite spot is gonna be awesome.

We make small talk on the way and finally come to a stop on the top of a cliff, close to the bridge that signifies the entrance to California, it seems more like the city's border.

It had the best view I'd ever witnessed before, the ocean, it's horizon, Malibu, the beach, you could literally see the entirety California from here... Ok maybe I exaggerated a little but honestly this place is cool... Like beyond anything you've seen!...

"So what do you think?." He asks stretching his hand to gesture to everything around us.

"I think it's magnificent!."

He watched me suck in air and breath out slowly, he laughed, the sound of his laughter filled the air. The place is peaceful and calm but intriguing all the same, I see why it's his favorite spot. Somewhere away from people but still surrounded by people, the atmosphere relaxes me and clears my mind.

So intoxicating... Just what I need... Oh Damien!...
