The Next Day

Ahriman awoke on the next day, he found both his pokemon a sleep next to him, clearly exhausted. He had no member of what happened after the visit from Ouroboros other than mind numbing pain. He got up and made his way out the tent, as he left he was blinded by bright lights. As he adjusted to the light, he noticed the world was different. colors had more depth, the surrounding looker clearer and sharper. He could see further than before and to a greater detail as well. Object closer were also more detailed, he spent the next 10 - 15 minutes just walking around inspecting the objects around the camp and looking out. Afterward Ahriman stopped looking around and started to cook meals for his companions and wanted to make it extra special. ' Omnidex, what can I add to dishes to make it special, i need to reward them for keeping me safe in my time of need.'

Omnidex: 'During your stay at trainer school, you received a few rare berries, if you give both Abra and Natu a Babiri Berry. they will enjoy the spicy flavour the berry will add the to the dish.' With this in mind, Ahriman fished through his bag and was able to find a berry identified by the omnidex and added 2 to the pot. When the dish was finished he woke both Abra and Natu up and presented them the dish he prepared. Both gave it a tentative sniff before chowing down with vigor.

After seeing both pokemon eating their dish, Ahriman started to dig into his portion of the meal. He found the rice to have been cooked perfectly, the starch made the rice slightly sticky but didn't dull the flavour. the sauce, whilst spicy, wasn't creamy and clung to the rice. The added vegetables like bamboo, scallions and bean sprouts gave the meal a nice added crunch and enhanced the flavour of the meal. After finishing the meal, cleaning up and packing the tent away. He and his pokemon started adventuring further into the forest and towards Cherrygrove City. It was the location of the trainer school due to it being relatively small but close to the forest. Cherrygrove City and New Bark Town had mainly elderly residents and countryphiles who wanted to escape the bigger cities and reconnect with nature. It was his first stop on his journey after 2 - 3 hours of walking through the forest at a leisure pace. On the way, he experimented with his power and fought with wild pokemon. The difference between a wild encounter and trainer encounter is still evident to Ahriman as the pokemon didn't always travel alone and they may draw friends more to fight. Something of worth did come about to the extended fights. Abra managed to level up to 16 and evolved into Kadabra, with this evolution i wanted to try a theory. Taking the spoon from Natu, i gave it to Kadabra to hold and suddenly the psychic energy surround him spiked and started to evolve into a Alakazam.

Ahriman: "Its nice when a plan comes together. Alakazam, how do you feel?"

Alakazam: "Kazam, frie..ala...Kazend." Ahriman wasn't quite sure what was going on with Alakazam as his speech sounded like he was saying more than just his name.

Just before they reached Cherrygrove City Alakazam was walking next to Ahriman with Natu resting on his shoulder, turn towards Ahriman and reached for his shoulder. Upon stopping Ahriman turned towards Alakazam whom said, "Friend". Surprised by this, Ahriman stares at Alakazam before replying "Ahhh uhhh, yeah we are friends Alakazam". After this discovery, Ahriman recalled both pokemon and walked into town. He went over to the pokemon centre and requested for his pokemon to be healed and for a room to stay for 1 night. After paying for his room and picking up his pokemon, he looked at his wallet and saw he had enough for a few potions, a few pokeballs and a few status recovery items. As he made his way to the poké mart whilst thinking of what to buy. He saw a group of people surrounding a wall with posters. Approaching the group and making his way to the front. He saw that there was a small tournament being held in Violet City which is being sponsored by the gym leader Falkner. Ahriman carried on towards the poké mart and purchased 3 potions, 2 antidotes, 2 paralysis heal and 3 pokeballs for a total of 2100 pokedollars. He walked around the city for a bit having more freedom this time round than previous. He stopped next to the small beach front and called out his pokemon. They all sat in the sand listening to the waves gently crashing and enjoying the last of the daylight. Whilst listening to the waves, he feels his pokegear vibrated and saw a message from parents hoping he is well and asking if he made it to Cherrygrove City ok. Ahriman responded and sent a picture of him relaxing on the beach with his pokemon next to him. They wish each other good night and he puts his phone away. When the sun has just hit the horizon he recalls his pokemon and heads to the pokemon centre and heads to his room to sleep.

Waking up the next morning, Ahriman makes he way to route 30 and heads out and carries on his journey. Along the way he meets a trainer sat down next to a small mound, upon being spotted, the trainer stood up and called out to Ahriman.

???: "Hey, it seems your traveling towards Violet City. I can't leave Cherrygrove City so why not have a battle, i've been training the one pokemon and my Rattata is one of the best. My name is Joey, remember it when i beat you." Ahriman just looking at the child in disbelief

Ahriman: "Sure kid, i needed someone to test my pokemon's new strength on." Both the trainers moved away from each other in a clearing and prepared to throw their pokeballs.
