A 15 year old Romaine' life, is about to change; thanks to him inheriting something called the X-Gene. But he's not the only one who inherited the X-Gene, and not everyone decided to use it for good. So now he has to protect the world from other supernatural individuals.

Black Zero scoured the streets, looking for his target; when he finally found him, the thrill forced a chuckle out of him.


"And you are?" he questioned, slowly hiding an item in his hand


"I'm not here for your work, Hawthorn." he reassured, "Rather, I am here because of it."


"I will grant you unimaginable power, and in return, you swear your allegiance to me."

Bypassing security, Black Zero phased through every obstacle before him coming to a stop in a closed off research lab.


There before him stood a student, conducting research on different forces.


"Victor Steele." he spoke, "There is higher potential for you beyond the extent of this facility's research grant."


"Who are you, and what do you want with me?" Victor questioned, straying away from the menacing


"With this stone, I can grant you power beyond your understanding. All you have to do is pledge you allegiance to me."


"With great power, comes great understanding."

In yet another lab, Zero confronted the curious scientist.


"Gavin Richards, Nuclear Physicist." Zero approached


"I'm pleased, you've heard of me?" he responded


"I was intrigued by your work; I think you could be of great use to me."


"The power do destroy anything in your path."

Adamantly working on his thesis papers, Black Zero's next target was caught off-guard just as  the others.


"Tyler Moore." Zero opened, "Fate has rewarded your hard work."


"What are you talking about?" inquired the aspiring researcher


"Your thesis on how alkalis can be utilized to a greater extent."


"How do you know about that? I haven't even finish it yet." he defended, hiding the written evidence of his work


"I know a lot more than you think, and I think you should join me."


"I can't; I still have these papers to work on."


"If you follow me, I can guarantee that you'll get first hand experience to further your research."


Entering the professor's office via the walls, Black Zero felt no need to negotiate with this target.


"Theodore Hines, I have great purpose for you."


Placing his hand on the professor's head, Black Zero shared his power with him, similar to what he had done to Shante; though now, the philosopher's stone had started to glow, granting Theodore much more power.


"Now that you've all pledged your allegiance to me, I dub thee my Hunters."
