MAKE UP

Bliss ,half asleep ,got up to answer the door.

" Hey, everything alright? " she asked letting Saiph inside his apartment.

" Yes, it's alright " he moved in.

" it's midnight , how is everything alright? " she rubbed her eyes.

" I got something for you " he sat on a chair.

Bliss poured water in a glass for him .

" what happened to your hand? " she asked as he extended it out to hold the glass from her.

" well last year, this day you burnt it " he laughed.

" let me guess, you were cooking like a master chef and got burned again today ".

" nope " he gulped one sip.

" this was the only time you got in a whole day to visit me? " she yawned.

" I was with Blue, we had dinner at his place "

" um hum!  "

" he made tacos and pasta "

" you mean Mia ....made it?" she was trying to clear a doubt.

" no she's gone abroad, Blue made it "

He said while looking at the glass of water.

" what do you got for me? "

" it's in my jacket " he pointed at his jacket that he hung near the door.

She quickly started to search it. She found  a leaf of pills, with smiley faces.

" what the hell? " she held it out to show him.

" not this " he got up and grabbed the leaf from her hand and put it back.

" what are those for? " she questioned.

" pyrexia " he held out a small cardboard box.

" you're sick? "

" a little, it rained so... , now focus on this ". She held the box and opened it. It contained a glass piece with polar lights .

" why you bought it? " she examined it from top to bottom .

" I thought you were missing it! And also that you were furious with me "

" no I wasn't, I told you I was just not feeling good "

" I bought it for Blue, but then I thought you were mad and I should make it up to you " he again sat back in the chair.

" for him? " she asked.

" it was his, the one that I broke. Accidentally " he explained.

He took another sip and but it rasped in his throat and he started coughing.

" are you okay? "

" yes " , he was pale.

" you don't look... Great! " she eyed at him coughing in pain.

Then she felt a severe terror run through her, that made her heart beat so hard that it pained in her chest. Poison!!!  The words she read, the words she said and heard, all seized her at once.

Did Blue poison him?  Clearly, Saiph was choking in discomfort . She didnt has time to calculate the probability of the dreadful act.

" get up, get up " she dragged him by his arm and led to the washroom.

" Bliss, what are you doing? "

" come over, get down "

"let go, I am fine ", he was resisting.

she held his head down the toilet and put fingers down his throat, and with a dash ,he threw up all the dinner.

Bliss quickly washed her hands from the sink and again sat beside him on the floor, she held his layered hair and held her close in her arms, with startled eyes and shivering in fright.

He closed the lid, and threw his head in her lap with no energy left in him.

She wanted to call for medical assistance , but her phone wasn't around and she didn't want to leave Saiph.

She put her hands in his sweater's pocket , and took out his phone. She  dialled ,terror striken.

" stop!! I am okay, " he raised his hand to grab the phone, but in an instant the phone fell on the floor.

" the heck " , he said weakly .

" let me call, let me ..." she sobbed. She held his face, sniveling ,she wiped tears from his cheeks. 

He raised his finger and pointed at her face.

" what? " she whimpered .

" they are yours " his lips smiled, but his face exhibited pain.

"shut up " she soaked her tears.

His eyes slowly closed and he buried his face in her arms. He could hear her heart throbbing in every part of her body.

She held him tight and enclosed him inside herself, resting her head on his neck and suppressing her wails.

" results are positive, he has been poisoned ",nurse said carelessly.

Bliss nodded with wet, red eyes.

" would you like to report? " she asked.

" No" Saiph declined. "thank you "

Then after receiving her pay check she left.

" why else would I hire a personal nurse,if I had to report ?. Huh... Common sense !" Saiph closed the door behind her.

" you won't? " Bliss asked.

" of course not " , he sat letting out a mild cry.

He rubbed his hand around his neck , " look what you did ."

Bliss inclined to take a look, the back of his neck was cut and injured. Many thin lines of pierced skin were mapped out.

" I didn't do it "

" should I be inquiring your nails? "

" oh! " she looked at her nails, which were not much long.

" don't confront Blue " he said mildly.

" I will "

He looked at her as she was  disobedient . " you won't " he ordered.

" you can't stop me , you attend to yourself and let me do what I want " she said and grabbed her bag to leave.

" don't you ever come back here then " ,he laid down on the couch .

" haha. what a threat!! I saved your life, now I'll do the heck I wanna do " she slammed the door behind her.
