Chapter 27

Ian's Pov

I woke up minutes ago and I'm taking a quick shower waiting for nan to get dressed because we're going grocery shopping, it's the second day in holiday I believe it's 15th of march, School is giving us one week before exams, I spent yesterday studying all night, the past two weeks went as fast as wind and surprisingly there wasn't any problems or fights...And Moon didn't talk to me since that pool thing which is disturbing i saw her in the school a lot but she seemed like she is avoiding me in the name of "protecting me", she came everyday but day by day she started to act weird not herself at all, she kept doing weird things like skipping classes, arguing with teachers a lot especially Mrs. jenny, she secretly helped The shitty squad bully kids which blew my mind when i knew and even her style of clothes changed all of her new clothes is revealing and wear way too much makeup i mean it's fine to wear things like this but this is not Moon's style, one day i saw her walking home alone but she seemed herself but a sad version and it's driving me crazy every time i try to dig in and see what's happening she stops me.

I huffed turning my thoughts off and snatched a towel wrapping it around myself and went to my wardrobe, got dressed and headed downstairs to nan who is trying to wear her sandals

"Here, give me " i said kneeling and helped her

"Thank you" she ruffled my hair

"Any time" I winked at her and she chuckled her precious chuckle, then we headed to the grocery store

We spent 1 hour in the store my legs are in so much pain, grocery shopping with old people needs punch of patience i swear, we headed home, made lunch and it was delicious I won't lie, Emily came about two hours ago, she said she wanted help in chemistry so we are in my room now.

"And if you studied the numbers well, any chemical equation won't take more than 30 seconds to be solved, it's easy Em" I said writing the last symbol and when i raised my head i found her staring at me

"You're not paying attention Em" I threw the pen at her and she flinched

"I wasn't staring" she threw the pen back

"No, you were" I said more serious

"Ok maybe i was " She chuckled

I huffed " Do you want me to repeat it?"

"No, i know everything" She slurred but I caught it

"Excuse me" I raised my eyebrows " So why did you lie" I asked seriously cause honestly i'm in no mood to joke

"I just wanted to spend time with you" She smiled moving her head to the side

"Since when do you make things up to spend time with me" I asked

"Since you stopped caring about spending time with me" She said and played with my hoodie weirdly

"What's wrong Emily why are you acting weird" I said casually moving so she can leave my hoodie cause it's uncomfortable to be honest

She put her hand on mine "Nothing i'm fine" She said and stared drawing circles on my hand, No this is really weird

"Em, this is um...your hand please" I said not wanting to hurt her but she understood and moved her hand, it turned awkward for seconds but she talked

"Ian i wanna tell you something" Oh god i hate this introduction

"Sure" No shocks god please

" I know you're confused a little about my behavior lately but it's something that has been in me for..for forever since i met you but i was afraid to tell you, I didn't know how you will react to it...but i think i love you"

"WHAT?" I couldn't help the shock and yelled

I stood up " No, no and no you can't"

"Why can't I?" She challenged me standing up as well

"You can't feel this way you're my closest friend Em" I said collecting my words

"Oh really look who is talking!" She rolled her eyes i know she's talking about Moon

I tightened my fist " You're not like her...you're like my sister, I'm sorry i don't feel the same way"

She started crying "How Can you say this" She sobbed moving around tugging throw her hair

"Em leave your hair, why are you acting like this " I said calmly trying to ease her tugging but she didn't give me a chance and pushed my chest " Don't touch me"

"I HATE YOU" She yelled throwing a pillow at me face

"EMILY CALM DOWN" She acted like I didn't say anything

"AFTER EVERYTHING I DID YOU STILL THINK ABOUT HER WHAT SHOULD I DO MORE TO MAKE YOU HATE HER" She kept yelling

"What do you mean? What did you do?" I asked

She froze for a second " Even now You're thinking about her...fine i helped Jessica to make you and Moon separate" she wiped her tears

"Emily go" I said trying my best not to explode

"I SAID GO NOW" I yelled opening the door and she left after giving me a low look then i slammed the door and sat on the bed

What else is gonna happen ha? i lost everyone, What should i do more to live a normal life, why everybody have two faces? Can i found one that has nothing to hide or is this my luck?

I stood up and stared collecting things from the floor and tided the room anything to get my mind off thinking, i skipped dinner, turned of the lights and went to bed it's 8 already.

While my lids were getting heavier i heard a knock that make me pop my lids open but it wasn't on the door it was on the window, I got up and walked to the window quietly then opened the curtains fast and strong, guess who did i found sneaking to my window, Moon and her school bag, She mouthed open the window and i did

"Thank god you're still awake" she said jumping inside and i'm just standing with my mouth open

"Hi" she said and sat on the floor, i closed the window and turned to her "H-how...how did you come up" I stuttered processing what is happening

"I used to do gymnastics back in canada plus your room's window is easy to be reached" she shrugged

"Oh, so why are yo-" I stopped because she started unzipping her bag "Don't say we're gonna study"

She grabbed a fancy wine bottle out from the bag "Wanna join me?" She said showing me the bottle

I looked at her weirdly for a second "You know what i kinda need it today" I said and was about to open the door to go and grab two glasses but I stopped "Since when do you drink?"

"Since luck left my side" She answered coldly, I didn't say anything and went to grab the glasses

"Here" I handed her the glasses, Closed the door and sat next to her on the ground resting our back on the bed's frame  and she opened the bottle and started pouring

"We are d-drunk" She chuckled and slumped her back on the bed's frame

"You are, i'm not" I chuckled

"it's been too long since i laughed that much" she conformed

"Me too...T-today was intense"

"Is it Emily the I-innocent?" She rolled her eyes

I widened my eyes " How did you know she was here?"

"Ian i was waiting in front of your house for two hours waiting for her to get the hell out"

"You are unbelievable" I giggled thinking about what she said

"Yass"

"More" I laughed handing her the glass

She laughed "Number six" she poured but her hand was shaking and some spilled on the floor

"Careful" I took the bottle

"Sorry" she laughed a lot but I didn't

"You are always sorry" I looked into her eyes and her expression went wood

"Yeah I apologize a lot" she slurred with a sigh, it went silent for about five minutes, I finished my glass and poured more

"I think this is enough" She said

"Just one more" I said while still pouring

"Ian" she tried to stop me by grabbing my hand

"I said one more" I snatched my hand from her grab, I finished the glass in one sip and talked

"Why are you here anyways?...did something bad happened to you again so you came to take some comfort and go?"

"Is that what you think of me?" She said pointing at herself

"What do you expect from me ha?...You show up when you like, You disappears when you like...Do you ever think about me or how i feel...probably not"

"Ian are you listening to yourself? You are d-drunk...we're drunk" She said simply, does she really thinks i'm saying any shit because i'm drunk

"I know what's happening, they're turning you to a monster aren't they?"

"Ian" she hissed shutting me

"Shhh Don't Ian me, what are they holding on you ?....Oh my god" I stopped and laughed "Even now I'm thinking about you what did you do to me?"

"Ian, please" she hold my hand

"Hours ago Emily was in the same situation as me" I kept laughing

"You don't understand how i'm feeling" she said trying to catch my attention

"What feelings ha? You chose him over me and now I'm sure you're paying for your choice aren't you Moon" I said moving away from her and stood up but i straggled, she followed me and stood up

"Look, Ian I-" i cut her off by putting my index finger on her lips

"Oh no no no, I'm sick of hearing apologies..I'm sick if it " I said walking around balancing myself

"A lot have changed" She said

"I don't wanna hear it" I covered my ears but she immediately removed my hands

"Ian, Ian please just hear me out..listen to me i'm sorry that I handled the way that i did"

"Don't"

"I-" i cut her again

"Just don't" I took a step closer "If you apologized i'm gonna feel like a jerk for not forgiving you and then if i do forgive you, you're just gonna break my heart all over again and I can't handle that" I said in a verge of tears

"I won't, I promise" Her voice broke while tears going down her cheek

I smiled disappointedly " You don't get it, Do you?...Either way i lose, I can't love you and I can't hate you because it's ruining my life" I said tear going down my cheek and continued "I just...I need to nothing you, I need to feel nothing for you, I need to not think about you, i need to not care about you at all, but I don't know how to do that" I ended breathing heavily " Sometimes i wish i'd never met yo-" I wasn't able to finish my sentence because she cupped my cheeks and pressed her lips into mine catching me totally off guard, my entire body feels like it's been ignited, I couldn't help but deepened the kiss for moments putting her hair behind her ear then I pulled back a little and plants a small kiss on her lips, She looked at me and smiled then took few steps back

"Hope this changes the way you think of me and that way i feel about you... you asked me why i came earlier, I came to tell you that yes I regret my choice it was dumb and that choice made me realize one important thing and that thing is that I love you Ian...Me coming today was to make sure i tell you before everything changes" She finished and I can't describe how i'm feeling right now, I'm speechless, confused and happy at the same time that I couldn't help the smile that drawn itself on my face, She caught my reaction and threw herself into my arms and i hugged her tightly then I stumbled and she laughed

"We're hella dizzy" I chuckled

"Honestly, i want to sleep" She said and threw herself on my bed swinging her hanging legs

"Well" I shrugged and threw myself next to her then she rest her head on my shoulder

"What about your parents?" I asked but she didn't answer

"Moon?" i looked at her

She slept.
