Ian's Pov
As I closed the diary my lids closed with it, my thoughts are in the back of my mind I'm not processing, I don't want to process what I just read
How is this even real? How did all of this happen and no one noticed? Or did Moon planned this, planned to do all of this secretly? What if Mrs Jenny didn't give me the notebook? I wouldn't have known anything, I was just gonna be like everybody else a fool for not noticing...or did Moon planned for this too to make Mrs Jenny give me the diary? "Oh my freaking god I'm losing my mind why is this happening to me God?" I groaned
I grabbed my phone quickly and dialed her again but this time it's her voicemail, she fu*king powered off her phone "No, no" I huffed, I have to know Where's she, she can't do this.
I looked at the clock it's 10:10 Pm, I hesitated for a second but I couldn't help it and grabbed my car keys and headed downstairs quietly nan is asleep already then hopped in my car...
I'm driving like crazy seeing her handwriting in front of my eyes, her words are stuck on my mind that I almost missed her house, I stopped the car literally in the middle of the street and jumped out
The windows all are pitch black, I don't know what am I doing here honestly what am i gonna do
"What are you gonna do now genius?" I hit the tire then I tried hopelessly calling her again and it turned me to her voicemail
"MOON" I screamed carelessly looking at her window hopping she'd show up but instead another window lit up and within seconds the front door was wide open
"How can I help?" Her father opened the door and I can easily tell he is pissed
I hesitated for a second just standing looking at him from far away then he raised his left eyebrow "Um.. I-I'm sorry for bothering you sir this l-late but I just came to see Moon for something very important"
"And this very important thing couldn't wait till tomorrow?" He asked
"No"
He glanced for a second "Sorry but Moon isn't here at the moment" He said already closing the door
"Wait, where's she then...her phone is dead i think so I had to come here"
"She took a permission to stay the night at Emily's" As the last word left his mouth I know he is being lied at, Moon one hundred percent isn't with Emily
I nodded and mumbled a thanks then hoped into the car literally not having a clue where to go, I'm trying to think as she might been thinking but I can't i'm totally jumbled up
I kept driving in circles going in and out unknown neighborhoods then I realized that what I'm doing now is useless I have to think carefully and accurately what I'm willing to do tomorrow how am i gonna find where Moon is before the purge starts...cause Moon isn't coming back home, Mark my words.

8:00 AM is the time now I didn't sleep all night, I read the diary again, went to the basement and grabbed a gun, baseball bat and a pocket knife
A backpack filled with stuff I think I'd need
Cause going after Moon this night during purge is like committing suicide I don't how she's going to protect herself all alone until I found her I'm losing my mind, When I finished preparing everything I went to take a look on nan, I opened her door carefully and found her completely asleep and she's holding a bible...Before every purge night she spent the night praying, I took it from her hand, put it aside and kissed her forehead and she flinched
"Woah, easy" I whispered
"Good morning" She said slowly
"Morning" I smiled thinking how am I gonna leave her tonight alone, should I tell her?
"Did you eat?" She asked uncovering herself
"No, I waited for you"
"Good, cause I want to make us breakfast today"
"Wow unusual" I chuckled
"I know but I feel like it" She chuckled standing up
"Whatever you say" I smiled leaving the room, head to mine and closed the door
"Ugh" I huffed
"What the f**k I'm gonna do" should I go after Moon and leave nan or stay with nan and leave Moon?
....
4:00 PM, three hours till the purge begins, I tried to call Moon cause her phone is turned on but still she's not answering and I still don't freaking know what I'm gonna do?
"What's wrong Ian?"
I snapped "What?...nothing I'm all good" I faked a smile but I think I failed
"No, you're not, Why did you went to the basement today" Her expression changes
"How did you know?"
"You always forget to close the door even when you're sneaking"
"Wait a sec" I said heading upstairs, grabbed the diary and head downstairs
"Here" I said throwing it on the table
"What is this?"
"This's Moon's Diary...Moon's going to purge today"

She wiped the thousand tear" I can't believe what I just read....what a poor girl" she sobbed
"Nan please stop crying"
"Where's she now?"
I sighed "I have no clue"
"I-I was thinking...um that I go after her" I added and she snapped looking at me with her bloodshot eyes
"I want to go stop her but at the same time I can't leave you here alone" I rolled my eyes at my stupid situation
"Go after her Ian maybe you can find her before it begins "
"What? Are you sure?"
She stood up "Yes, but please take care of yourself"
"Are you gonna be safe?"
"Nothing bad will happen, there is protection all over the house" She said and I kissed her cheek
"Go" she wiped her tear and I ran upstairs to get ready

It's 6:45 PM, I turned on the house protection system and the arm is sliding down now
"Take care Ian, I'll be waiting..I love you" Nan said
"More" I said quickly sliding down before it lock
I took a step looking at the house one last time making sure everything's protected
I looked around me and all the streets are empty barley anyone walking America's flags everywhere there are a group of creepy guys wearing masks and screaming "Damn I'm gonna regret this" I said before hopping into my car
I started the engine "Where are you Moon?" She won't start killing anyone before the purge so I started looking in places she might be waiting at,
I went first to the secret place expecting her to be there but she isn't, then went to school but then again nothing, I even went to her house again nothing, I went to Mrs Jenny's house still nothing
"F*CK WHERE ARE YOU MOON?" I looked at my phone it's 6:55 PM Shit I have five minutes I stopped the car and looked again at the last page of the diary
The first name she wrote is E.R...Emily is the first
I started the engine as fast as i can and drove to Emily's, within seconds I flinched hearing the first siren "Shit" and all the billboards are now streaming the announcement

First siren. Second siren. Third siren. Fourth siren.
With the last siren ends I pulled over in front Emily's house that's already locked down, so how the Fu*k would Moon be inside?
I tried to call Emily but it send me straight to the voicemail I tried again but also nothing happen. I gripped my hair "No, Moon please don't do it please do not do it." I whispered to myself
After minutes of me walking back and fourth. I found the arm that surrounds Emily's house going up and Moon stepping out of the house wearing yellow jumpsuit with black stripe on the sides and black timberland boots, their was a big ass knife in her hand, a black bag hanged up her back and tears falling down her face
"No" I whispered She turned her gaze from the floor to my face, Her eyes widened but not for long that made me sure that she was expecting me
"You didn't do it, did you?" I said
She shakes her head "I couldn't" She sobbed. I let out a relief breath that I've been holding for hours I saw her walking away to her car that I didn't noticed it she was hiding it in a dark place behind a very big tree
"Moon, what are you doing ?"
"I'm gonna purge Ian I have to get my revenge "
"You won't do this, No you're not like this "
"They made me like this "
I ran behind her taking her her hand while waking to my car she stopped snatching her hand out of my grip
" What are you doing?"
"Can we go home and talk about this?" I said trying my best to control my anger
"No. Do you know for how long I've been planning for this and my plan is gonna happen whether you like it or not cause i can't take it anymore, it's a deadline for me"
