Seven.

I find myself growing silent as I listen to Cole James speak. Both of us aimlessly walk the streets, no real destination in mind. Depending on the topic, I'll agree or throw in an opinion of mine. By the time darkness begins to set upon the day, my brain feels mentally exhausted.

"I don't think I've spoken to someone this long in forever." I tell him, wrapping my jacket around my torso tightly. Cole James turns his head to look at me and I expect him to appear surprised but he doesn't.

"You don't connect with anyone else."

"Maybe." I respond, shrugging my shoulders. I sigh and glance around, noticing the street lamps are beginning to flicker on. The light illuminates from it, creating an eerie glow underneath. I turn to Cole James.

"Won't your parents worry about where you are? It's almost dark."
