"Cheers to making it back alive!" everyone said as their wine glasses clanked together.

"Remind me to never go camping again," Hoseok said And the others laughed.

Hani took a sip of her red wine which looked almost black in the night. The smoke from the barbeque was spreading across the atmosphere, making the night sky seem foggy. She looked around at her friends that were able to make it out alive, and find her cousin too. Her eyes landed on Emily, who avoided drinking after her check-up with a doctor to recover from her hearing loss. She gave a soft smile, but Hani knew there was so much relief and fear behind it.

"Guys the food's ready!" Hoseok says checking on the meat. "Jin! Minji! Jungkook!" Suddenly at the mention of food, things went hectic as everyone was calling each other. Hani looked back as Jungkook sat on the steps of the entrance of the little house they had rented for the night, before they were planning to leave their separate ways.

He sat with his head down, poking at the grass. She walked up to him and sat down.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Should I be?" he questioned, and Hani stayed silent.

"I'm upset you didn't tell me before," he said as he got up and brushed off any dirt from his pants.

"Jungkook," she said, also getting up. "Imagine I told you before, imagine I told you that night we stayed at the house, or anytime during the trip, would you have had the strength to make it out. It would have distracted you the whole time, that's why I told you later, and it's not like I didn't tell you either," Hani ended, melodiously in a soft tone, but Jungkook had already teared up.

"Jungkook! Hani!" Minji called, and Jungkook immediately yeeted his tears away as Hani waved at her.

"I'm sorry, Kook," Hani sighed as he walked into the house.

Hani didn't know what to do, it wasn't like it was something to accept so easily and she knew it would take time.

He walked into one of the rooms and plopped onto the bed. He ran his hands through his hair as he let the storm out!

His mind circled around the memories and he was once again met with the cruel reality of life.

The group sat together around the fire and Jungkook looked at the sky.

"It's nice to feel free," he said.

"It's nice to have you back," Hani said.

Jin looked up at Hani and then went back to fiddling with the fire.

He let out a deep sigh.

"You okay?"

He looked to his right to see Minji looking back at him. He nodded at her with a smile. The group seemed to be happy and smiling at there accomplishment, but Jin was concerned about the rest of the journey. As the leader, he had to get them back safely. Jin's thoughts were interrupted by a yelp. He looked up to see Hani falling back from where she was sitting, while Jimin and Jungkook both tried to grab ahold of her.

"Are you okay?" Minji said running to her.

"Yeah," she groans, as the two men pull her up. "Just a nightmare."

"We'll leave in the morning so if you guys want to sleep, help yourselves," Jin said.

Jungkook was way too excited to sleep. He sat and watched as everyone gradually fell asleep.

"You're not sleeping?" Hani spoke. He looked towards her and smiled proudly.

"I'm too happy to fall asleep," he said as she came and sat next to him.

"I can't wait to see mom and dad again. They'll be so surprised, but they'll be happy." A smile formed on his lips.

He noticed Hani staring at him. He turned her face away.

"Don't look at me like that, that guy will get jealous for no reason," he says chuckling and pointing a Jimin. "He really does like you."

Y/n looked at Jimin, who lay there fast asleep. His features lit up by the moonlight. But then she looked back at him. She wasn't smiling like him. She wasn't happy like him. Her eyes were filled with sorrow, and tears welled up and that's when she looked away, breathing heavily.

"Y/n?" Jungkook spoke. "Y/n, look at me. What's wrong?"

She had her head down while he shook her head and her hair fell over her face.

"It's okay," he said rubbing her back. "I'll get you out of here."

"Jung..kook, I-it's not t-that, I know you will, but...I can't keep it in anymore," she said sniffing.

"Y/n, look at me," he said sitting down in front her. He lifted her head.

"Then what's wrong? Just tell me. You can trust me."

"Jungkook....you're mother passed away."

Another storm built up inside him, but before he could let it out, there was a knock on the door and it opened.

"Jungkook, here, have some food and then you can sleep." It was Jin.

He quickly wiped his tears and sat up, with his back facing Jin. Jin placed the plate full of food next to him and sat down.

"I know is difficult to accept things sometimes, but I promise you'll learn to accept it."

Jungkook looked over at the man.

"Eat," he said and he did.

"I hope you feel better by tomorrow and you'll meet your father tomorrow too," Jin said, trying to make Jungkook smile at least but Jungkook has other plans.

The group woke up to a bright morning. The group was ready to move away from their harsh experience to live like how they use to. They all started to prepare for breakfast.

"Jin, can you wake Jungkook up?" Hani said. She didn't want to go herself after how upset Jungkook was at her.

Jin agreed and went to Jungkook's room, only to knock on it and get no reply.

"Jungkook?" he knocked harder until he unlocked it and saw the sight in front of him.

The room was clean empty. It was how they had seen it when they rented the place out at the start.

"Guys! Jungkook's not there, I think he left," Jin stated.

"Without a goodbye?" Hoseok questioned.

"Well, that's what it seems like."

Jungkook stood at the house. The house he had longed to see for 2 years now. He took a deep breath and moved towards it. It was the same but looked different. The door was still the same huge one with scratches on it, the scratches he made when he was little using his dad's car keys. The front door was surprisingly unlocked and he walked in. The long hallway had plants on each side now and he smiled until he noticed a small pot that contained only soil. On the pot was written "Kookie", it was the pot he had bought to grow tomatoes after he saw it at school. He kept walking into the main living room, to find the furniture set up the same way.

"K-Kookie?"

Jungkook looked up to see a man staring back at him, confused and shocked.

"๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’…!"
