Emerson's POV

"Neil Anderson" I was shocked to see him.

How dare he. How bloody dare he.

He was smiling like idiots and I already tightened my fist to punch his idiotic face. And that man.. he had guts to come closer to me and hug me.

"Wtf are you doing here?" I whispered angrily.

"Is this the way to welcome your best friend?.. do you want to create a scene here?" he said in a low voice and I could feel him smiling ear to ear.

I pushed him lightly.

"You know Jennifer.. he's lil angry with me. Actually I met him after years so.. but don't worry.. till the time I'm here. I'll stay with you bro." he said and Jennifer smiled.

"It's getting late.. I think we should leave." she said looking at Neil and he nodded.

No way. She's mine.

" I will drop you home." I said leaving everyone surprised. Including Nia.

"You came here with me Emerson. Not with her." Nia said pointing towards Jennifer. She herself was shocked.

"She is right. Jennifer is my date for the night. I'll take her." Neil said.

I raised my hand silencing everyone.

"Sam will drop you home Nia .. Good night everyone." I said.. held her hand in mine and left .

She was confused but didn't protested. I made her sit in my car and myself entered the driver's seat.

I started driving and she didn't asked any questions.

"Won't you be asking anything about the lil stunt I did there.?" I asked her .

"No.. as far as I'm happy at the moment. I won't ask anything." she said smiling and I smiled back. She was right. We don't need to say anything. What's happening now is what both of us have been waiting for. To stay with each other.

We reached her home and I stopped the car. I was in least mood to let her go but had to.

I helped her coming out and she thanked me.

"Thank you Emerson. Good night." she said smiling and turned to leave.

"Wait!!" I called her to which she stopped.

"You need something?" she asked

"I'll come with you. I want to meet Sophia. It has been days since we last talked." I said

"I am really sorry Emerson but she isn't home." she said.

"What?? Why? Where's she?" I asked.

"She is at her cousin's. He is here for a day and she went to meet him. She will be back tomorrow morning." she said.

"So you are home alone?"

"Yep." she said.

"No way. I'll stay with you for the night." I said walking towards her.

"No.. I mean it's fine. I've stayed alone many times. It's not required." she said.

"It is. I don't want you to stay alone tonight. I'll leave in the morning. Please. Just let me stay" I pleaded with my puppy eyes that I know she can't resist.

"Okay. Please come." she said gesturing me to come inside.

I followed her and entered her house.

"Please feel comfortable. I'll change first" she said and all the naughty thoughts started flowing and I smiled.

"Stop thinking about the things that would never happen." she said.

"How did you know what I was thinking about?" I asked smiling and she rolled her eyes and left.

Oh yes.. she know what kinda pervert I am.. I laughed at my thoughts and sat on the couch.

I removed my coat and hanged it near. I loosened the initial buttons of my shirt and layed on the couch.

She entered after a few minutes and I looked at her. She was in a loose t-shirt and shorts. I kept staring her and she bit her bottom lip.

She came near me and sat beside me.

"You need something Emerson?" she asked.

"You." I whispered and she raised her brows.

"I mean I want you to switch on the TV. Let's watch Netflix." I said and she nodded.

We decided to watch Friends with benefits. She brought popcorns and coke and we layed on the couch. She was closer to me and my arms were around her. She didn't said anything so I didn't removed it.

She was busy watching TV and I was busy staring her.

"Why are you starting me Emerson?" she asked without looking at me.

"I love it" I said and she blushed. I saw how her face got a lil red and I laughed.

"I need to ask you something Emerson." she said facing me and I nodded.

"Were you serious when you said that Nia isn't your girlfriend?" she asked softly.

"Yes. You don't believe?" I said keeping my head on her shoulder and she started caressing my hair with her hands. It was perfect!!

"You both looked really close." she said.

"We are close Jenny. We are friends since we were born. That's why we are close." I said in my sleepy voice. I was tired from the day.

"She told me that she likes you" she said.

"Really?? I don't know bout that. In fact I have someone else whom I'm liking these days." I said

"Who?" she asked. I looked up to her innocent eyes.

"There is a girl. She's pretty and..." I said getting back to her shoulder. "And I like kissing her" I said and kissed her neck.

She giggled making me smile.

Jennifer's POV

We were so busy in ourselves that we didn't even realized when we slept..

I woke up to my phone ringing and found him still sleeping in my arms. He slept like a baby and was looking too cute to disturb him from his sleep. I bowed forward to take my ringing mobile. It was his Dad. I was shocked first but received the call.

"Mr Hemsworth"

"Good Morning Jenny.. how's you?" he asked.

"I am fine sir. How's you.. is everything fine?" I said.

"I am good Jenny. Is my son with you" this just gave me a Panic attack.

"Umm.. sir .. he" I don't know what to answer.

"Nia told me that he left with you last night. Is he with you now?"

"Yes sir." I said.

"Tell him to meet me. I've been calling him since yesterday but his mobile is switched off." he said.

"I will.. sir"

"Thanks. Have a good day Jenny" he said

"You too sir" I said and cut the call.

Someone's is trouble.

I slightly placed him on the couch helping me to get up. I kissed him and went to freshen up.

I did my morning dues, took a bath and got ready.

I then went to the kitchen and started cooking. After a few minutes, he came into the kitchen and hugged me from behind.

"What are you making?" he asked

"Pasta" I said and he kissed me.

"Your Dad called me this morning." I said.

"You?? Why?" he asked coming Infront of me

"Nia told her you are with me.. he's been calling you but your mobile was switched off.."

"Oh.. it isn't charged i guess.." he said.

"He want you to meet him." I said and he nodded..

"I'll freshen up first. " he said and I showed him the washroom.

He came back after half an hour and I had already placed food on the dining table.

He sat on the chair and I gave him the pasta I made.

"You said Sophia would be here in the morning." he asked while putting a spoonful in his mouth.

"She was.. but when I told her that you are with me .. she said she'll come later." I said eating.

I was hoping he like the food and he said he loved it. After talking about here and there and flirting with each other. We finished eating and got ready for office.

"I'll drop you to the company first. Then I'll meet my Dad. " he said

"Its fine.. I have my car. You please meet him first." I said.

"Are you ordering your boss Ms Winget?" he said in a serious tone.

"No Sir." I whispered with my head down.

He laughed and pulled me closer.

"I want you to listen to me always... Understood?" he asked and I nodded. He then kissed my forehead and we left for work.

Emerson's POV

I dropped her to the company and left to meet dad. I was nervous because I knew what would come.

I reached home and straightaway went to him.

"Hey Dad." I said. He was reading something in his study.

Mom was also there.

"Hey Mom." I sai hugging her and she kissed my cheek.

"I think I need to have an appointment to meet you son. You are too busy these days " she said laughing

"Ofcourse not mom.. I'm never busy for you." I said and she smiled.

"You talk with him. I'll see you later." she said and left.

Dad got up and came to me

"Where were you?" he asked.

"You know where was I.. don't you?" I said the same way he asked.

"Why did you left Nia alone yesterday.?" he asked and I remained silent.

"I'm asking you something son. She was your date-"

"She is not my date." I almost shouted.

"I am sorry for being loud Dad.. but she is nothing more than a friend to me." I said

"We have fixed your marriage with Nia long back.. " he said.

"What? Without even asking me?"

"We asked Nia. She was happy. We thought you too would love that." he said

"How can you do this Dad. You fixed up my wedding and didn't even cared to tell me once?" I asked

"Why don't you want to Marry her.. you both are close to each other.. she's your best friend.. then what's wrong?" he asked.

"Thats right Dad. She is my best friend. Nothing more. And moreover I like someone else."

"Who?" he asked.

"You are not that dumb... haven't you figured out yet?"

"Jenny?" he asked and I nodded.

"Are you crazy son? How can you like her?" he shouted.

"What do you mean Dad? Why won't I like her. She's just perfect. You know how good she is. You always told me how better she is at everything. Then why can't I like her.?"

"Not in that way son. She is a very good girl. I did like her always but. You have to marry Nia. "

"I won't. And I'm not getting what's wrong in Jennifer that I can't be with her."

"There's nothing wrong in Jennifer, Emerson. The wrong part is in you."

"What do you mean Dad?" I asked him

"Are you sure that she will feel the same for you when she will get to know your reality. That you are part of Mafia?" he was loud and I was numb. He is right.

She doesn't know who I am . Will she accept we when she'll get to know about this? Of course not. She will hate me. Every girl would. Which women will want her man to be a Mafia who kills people?

"I don't know Dad" I said I was defeated.

"I know son. No lady would accept this. That's why we fixed up your wedding with Nia because we all are same.. I don't mean to snatch away your happiness son. Jennifer is nice. I really like her. But do you think it would be right to bring her in this mess?" he asked and I couldn't disagree with him.

"How did you married mom then? She was also not a part of Mafia?" I asked..

"We were in love man.. madly in love . She accepted me. Our love couldn't be drawn back because of this.." he said smiling. Might be remembering old memories.

"I know nothing Dad. I won't lie that we are madly in love. We like each other..what I feel with her.. I have never felt any such thing with anyone else. I want her only."

"You are exactly like your Dad." I turned to the voice it was mom. She came towards us and went to dad's arms.

"He had the same conversation with his Dad when he was going to tell his father about us. " she said looking at Dad and he smiled.

"If she accepts you this way son.. I won't force you to marry Nia.. but if she didn't. You have to listen to us." Dad said and I gave him a hug.

"Thanks Dad." I said and he hugged me back.
