The Mastermind

Miracle's POV

I no longer care about the dirt and the dust, I just want to lay my body down because of fatigue, fear, and anger. I felt so thirsty, but I couldn't even move my limbs. The pain all over my body caused me to moan, I hate myself for being so clumsy and I don't know why I fell on the clearing when he approached me. I still fall asleep even though my entire body is throbbing and I wake up when I heard hushed voices outside the shack, and I am sure the employer of my captor has arrived.

I can't stop the shivering of my entire frame, the moment of truth has taken place and I have to face my death. I tried to get up because I don't want him to think I am weak. I leaned against the wall and I tried to sit up straight. I noticed a lump flickering on top of the small table in the center of the room. He must have turned back when I dozed off.
