A strange thing.
He only saw the light when the system stated that he was revived.
After his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw someone on the throne. In that throne sat a middle-aged man.
The man opened his mouth and spoke, "Why are both of you not kneeling yet!?"
Kite disregarded Severus. He looked at Vanessa from behind him and breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at Severus once more and spoke. "Wait a minute old man, I need to talk to her for a while."
Severus frowned in frustration.
"To think my one and only disciple will rather talk to her woman than chat with his master."
Vanessa blushed after hearing what Severus said. But she was also surprised to learn that Severus' disciple was Kite. She was also curious about what Kite wanted to tell her.
Kite disregards Severus' comment and held Vanessa's hand. They step out of the room while Severus' gaze followed them.
When they were outside, Kite pulled Vanessa on one of the nearest trees in the villa. He sat down and signaled Vanessa to sit beside him. Vanessa was confused but followed Kite nevertheless.
Just as Vanessa was supposed to ask Kite why he brought her here, Kite pulled her in his embrace. Vanessa was surprised but returned the gesture. This man was the man she loved. How could she let go of this opportunity?
They hug each other for a long time. When finally Vanessa pushed her away.
"What's wrong Kite?" Vanessa was a woman, her intuition told her that something strange happened to Kite
Kite didn't reply but rested his forehead on Vanessa's forehead. He looked at her lovingly and whispered, "Thank you."
Vanessa was confused. But Kite's next word made her even more confused.
"I love you."
Of course, her heart started beating faster, but she still didn't know why Kite's feelings for her suddenly changed. Her doubt overpowered her emotions.
"Why?" She sobbed. She wanted to hold her tears but failed. Her fragile heart suffered shocked after Kite's confession.
"I want to tell you the reason but I can't. Just believe me, I do love you!" Actually, he now trusted Vanessa completely. But telling her that he fell in love with her after she sacrificed herself was quite...rude.
Vanessa believed him wholeheartedly and asked, "But what about the girl you loved first?"
She knew that Kite might have someone she loved somewhere. She knew it back in the guild when he suddenly stopped kissing her.
"Don't worry! My heart can occupy the love of the two of you!" Kite solemnly stated.
It was a weird statement. But to Vanessa, it was the most important sentence in her life.
Vanessa smiled and nodded. But deep inside her feelings were still chaotic. She wouldn't care at all if Kite has a lot of wives and concubines, polygamy was pretty common in this world after all.
But as a girl, the thought of sharing a man she loved with someone else was still disturbing.
It was the same feeling if someone told you to share your wife with them.2
Nonetheless, Vanessa's happiness being together with Kite completely shunned her other thoughts. She'll enjoy Kite's company until the day Kite ventured and find the other girl he loved.
Their conversation exchanges seemed pretty bland and normal but the love within those words was filled with warmth and happiness.
Kite glanced at Vanessa's beautiful black eyes. He stroked her red hair and kissed her forehead.
He then stood up and offered his hands to help Vanessa. "Let's go, that old man might lose his patience."
Vanessa giggled and followed him.
In the villa, just as Severus was about to leave, the two entered the doors.
The exchange of words between them was pretty much like the same in the past.
Severus introduced Ansel and asked for them to protect him in case of danger.
"That girl... Who's she?" Severus didn't ask about this in the past because there was no interaction between them that much. But in this timeline, Vanessa was acting more intimate than before. She continuously linked her arm with Kite. Leading to Severus questioning.
"Eh? Why do I have to answer you?" Kite grinned.
Severus snorted. He then asked his maid to deliver the gift he had for Kite, a simple storage ring. Then he took a map out of thin air and threw it towards Kite's face.
Kite expected this and caught the map flawlessly.
This young boy was prepared this time. He suffered from this trick in the past but now?
Hehe, reviving in time is indeed a godly ability without no equal.
However, when he thought of this he contemplated deeply.
Everything has a price. There might be some side effects or prices to activate this overpowered skill. But with his abilities and level, he was still weak to know these side effects.
Severus was surprised when Kite caught the map. He then shook his head. Probably luck, he thought.
Then they begin going in the south towards the Rocky Mountains. They walked the same path liked before. There was not that much difference. The only difference was that Vanessa kept teasing Kite in the open.
The latter also enjoyed it because it was fun. Being teased by beauty was every man's dream.
While traveling, Kite slowly regained his clarity regarding what happen before. He couldn't help but cursed himself inwardly. "Why didn't I collect the loot back then? That was a rare hidden boss!"
He looked at his system and message and found the announcement made that he ignored earlier.

Ansel was confused but still clicked Hard Mode. This man was supposed to help him level up by the orders of his uncle. And because Kite was Severus's disciple, he believed him. Plus, Vanessa was with them, among the three, she was the strongest.
They entered the Hidden Dungeon and what welcomed them were salivating goblins.

Goblins immediately surround them after they entered. Vanessa suddenly jumped. Her jump was inhumanely high. She landed in a place not far away from the goblins. Kite understood her intentions because he came back from the future. He flickered and suddenly appeared at Vanessa's side.
Now Ansel was facing six goblins by himself. He raised his shield up and pointed his short-sword forward. He looked comical for some reason.

His shield started emitting a bright light. The goblins surrounding him were blinded for a second after that they attacked him recklessly.
This skill doesn't only taunt the enemies but also increased the health and defense of the caster.

Ansel swept his sword horizontally. All the goblins were knocked off and blood drip from their wounds.

Raising his shield he dashed ahead colliding with all of the goblins and knocking them up. Ansel possessed many skills and techniques. Being rich meant a lot of skill books.
He madly attacked his enemies until no goblins were within sight. But this time he was heavily injured and exhausted. The goblins level was high. Thankfully he had a wide arsenal of skills. And as a tanker, he managed to persevere until the end.
"Good! Let's rest first!" Kite then sat on the corner and so did Vanessa.
The two flirt with each other while the third wheel could only stare at them helplessly.
