Chapter 20

Third Person POV

John had taken it well. Yes he had. He wasn't new to the supernatural stuff anyway. John knew about Derek and his family, he knew about Erica and Boyd.. Jackson who was once a kanima, he knew about Isaac, Malia, Kira and her family... He knew about the alpha pack that once attacked Beacon Hills and Jennifer the Darach who wanted to sacrifice him alongside Melissa and Chris Argent... He knew about the Nogitsune, yeah it was hell and a dipshit.

It wasn't easy. He knows.

He knew about Chris Argent and his family being werewolf hunters. He knew. He wasn't new to these. John wasn't a stranger to these.

Hell, he even knew about Scott being a werewolf, a true alpha. Lydia being a banshee.. Liam who was Scott's beta... He knew his son ran alongside them and he must admit that at first it wasn't easy to accept because of all the danger that his son was prone to be in. Supernatural life wasn't easy, he knew.

John took a deep breathe and looked at his son Stiles who was updating him in the new supernatural stuff.

"So what you mean is that there is a demon coming whom will kill all supernatural creatures that are not registered under the Book Of Life?". He asked. If he had been new to this, John was sure that he wouldn't have believed there being such a thing.

Stiles and Lux nodded in agreement.

"And you are suspecting that she's the one that killed Scott?". John asked again. He'd be lying if he said that he wasn't scared not for himself but for his son Stiles. Stiles was a freaking god Of Empathy.

He was scared.

Afraid.

"Yes". Lux responded.

John didn't know what was even scarier... Was it that a phsyco demon (but all demons are physcos anyways) that was coming or was it because his son was dating a freaking goddess from the second heaven? It was hard to believe it (She was a hamster as well and his son loved her.) but werewolves were believed to be myths too but hell, that myth was not a myth anymore. Derek, Scott were enough proof that all that existed.

"But she attacked". John tried to argue. He wanted to know how prepared they were, how ready Lux was to protect his son... The only family he had.. Has!.

"It's like a warning... A signal that she's already here and she's gonna strike soon". Stiles explained briefly also not sure of himself but he saw Lux nod in agreement through the corner of his eyes. "Don't worry Dad, we have an alpha and a guardian. We should register before dawn comes".

John nodded. If this was all it took for him and his son to be safe then, he'd do it.

"A strong storm will come. You two need to move to the mansion". Lux suggested. "Keeper and the others have started bringing in supplies".

"When?". John asked.

"Now!". Lux exclaimed.

"What? Now?". John questioned, shocked, eyes wide open. He was willing to do anything but he didn't expect to be immediately... Heck, but he'll also do it because he didn't want to be manhandled by the goddess. The Heavens only know what she did to him to stop drinking and hate alcohol like the way he hated it at the moment.

"Why now? So soon?". Stiles asked.

"It's drizzling..." Lux trailed off. "The storm is coming. Pack up!". She added. She could hear the loud thumping of Stiles' heart. She could smell the fear and worry oozing from John and it was chocking. Who said that negative feelings smelt nice?.

"Calm down John. Nothing bad will happen. We'll all be safe at the mansion". Lux said softly as she tried to calm John down with her powers, the same thing she'd done with Stiles earlier that night.

"Okay. I trust you. Not only with my life but also with my Son's". John said as he stood up from the bed more calmer than before. Lux was sure that if she hadn't calmed down the elderly man, he wouldn't have been able to stand firmly.

"Thank you. I'll keep you all safe". Lux promised. John nodded then left for his room to pack a bag.

"You should pack also. Isaac, Malia and Peter are at the grocery store buying food. Keeper and Derek will bring in more blankets and air mattresses... Fuel for the generator as well just in case". Lux explained as she helped Stiles stuff in some warm clothes in his duffle bag.

"How long will the storm last?". Stiles asked.

Lux exhaled sharply, "I don't know". Said Lux while shaking her head slowly.

"Can't you stop it?". Stiles asked again as he took his laptop, charger and phone.

"No. I don't know why but I can't stop it". Lux admitted sadly.

"We'll just have to stay indoors then." Stiles says as if he's saying it out more to himself than to Lux. "What about the people of Beacon Hills?".

"Keeper mind linked me. The weather broadcast will inform the people about the upcoming storm for them to stay home. The only thing they don't know is if it's supernatural or not". Lux explained. "Anyways, the people will be warned whoever will listen will be safe. Those who won't then I'm afraid that we can't help them".

Stiles took in a deep breathe, "Will the storm be worldwide?".

"I think so. But it'll be more dangerous where the doors to the spiritually world are... Like the Nemeton". Lux said as she dumped her favorite tees in the duffle bag... Obviously belonging to Stiles but Stiles didn't mind sharing his tees, did he?.

"I thought gods could control natural elements". Stiles argued as he zipped the bag and swung it to his shoulder while they walked to the door, Lux following him behind.

"I think that that statement right there explains it". Lux responded flatly. Stiles stopped and looked at her with furrowed brows.

"I thought that sarcasm was my thing". Stiles replied flatly as well as he crossed his arms against his chest.

Lux rolled her eyes and exhaled sharply, "I had to learn it somewhere". She muttered out while shooting him a 'it is you of course' look.

Stiles exhaled too, imitating the way she looked at him and the tone she used as well. "That look fits you perfectly".

Lux snorted.

John cleared his throat to break whatever was coming between the two apart. "Shouldn't we be going now?".

"Yes we should". Stiles responded his eyes glued on Lux as if telling her that it wasn't yet over. He made a mental note to look up for some proverbic comebacks to use against Lux in the future.

"Let's stop by the store and help out Keeper and the others." Lux suggested as they walked out of the house while John locked the door.

"Woah, it's really drizzling but it's not yet strong." Stiles said as he and Lux got in his blue jeep.

"And it isn't cold. I will follow you then?". John cut in as he threw his bag in the back seat of his cruiser.

"Yes Pops". Stiles shouted as he pulled out of their driveway, his father following behind.

•••••

"Did you get enough bread?". John asked as they packed some of the shopping in his car's back seat.

"Yes but we bought lots of flour.. I prefer home baked bread a lot". Keeper replied.

"Why do I feel like it's that moment when Israelites were baking their bread for their long journey?". Lux asked.

"Bread with no yeast and bitter herbs... Gosh, that was hard". Keeper answered.

"Israelites?". Derek questioned as he'd already taken the supplies he'd bought to the mansion and had come back to hell out.

"That's a long story..in the Bible". Keeper answered with a shrug.

"You should have seen the face the store's keeper had!". Isaac said with a smug face.

"She didn't bring us trouble as long as we paid". Peter replied as he entered in Derek's camaro.

"We should tall to Lydia and Kira. I'm sure they already know about Scott's death." Stiles suggested.

"What will they do? Huh?". Isaac asked, his smug expression turning sour.

"Join us? We should keep them safe. They're one of us". Stiles answered. He knew that they still held a grudge towards him but still they were once his friends and he was worried about them.

It wasn't his fault that he was this loyal...

"I think they made it clear more than once that they didn't need you". Isaac stated flatly before getting in Derek's camaro in the back seat.

Derek was leaning on his car. Arms crossed, "The betas we found have refilled the generators with fuel. Plus the supply tanks as well. They're refilling the water tanks with fresh waters to use". Derek explained before getting in his car as well and driving off. Lux just nodded.

"Hey girl. What's up with your dress? Do gods have MP's too?". Malia asked from behind Lux.

Lux jolted to look at her before she heard the others gasp in surprising. She looked down at her white dress.

"White? What's wrong with you?". Keeper asked in surprise.

Her dress had patches of red everywhere that was spreading rapidly to form a huge patch covering the whole back of her dress coming to the front.

"Is that normal?". John asked. Lux looked at him, she was also shocked.

"It smells like blood. You guys bleed a lot then". Malia said.

"It's not her blood". Keeper said barely a whisper.

"I've never had MP's it makes us impure". Lux said in a whisper as well but loud enough for all of them to hear.
