The sun climbed on the sky once again, announcing the arrival of day.
Slowly everyone was waking up from their slumbers, some waking up by themselves while others being waked up by their friends. Unfortunately for Max, he experienced the latter instead of the former.
"Sleepy head!" *Splash* Ken, wanting to get his revenge for what Max did two days ago, found the perfect opportunity to do so. He got some water and wet both Max and his tent, which will make it annoying to sleep in.
"Agh!" Max's sleep was completely destroyed. He shot up, scared and cold, not knowing what was happening.
"Hahaha! What are you! A scared cat?" Ken couldn't keep himself together and fell on the floor rolling around, delighted by his actions, and Max's reaction.
As Max looked around, seeing the empty bowl on the ground, and Ken in his tent, he pretty much figured it all out. 'This damn idiot..' Max sighed.
"Are you going to stay here while I am going to change? Or are you gonna get off the floor and go away?" Max said, already starting to get his wet clothes off that he had put on the night before.
"Whoa man, I don't swing that way, I'll wait outside." While saying that, Ken was already going towards the exit of the small tent.
** A while later **
"Is everyone ready?" Will took the opportunity to ask, seeing the last person finishing packing their stuff.
No one said anything, so Will took it as an affirmative answer.
"We are going to enter the dungeon in five minutes, the five of us still have a bit of discussing to do." Will continued, and began walking towards Max and the other three team leaders.
"While you were checking we have decided." Gwen began talking as soon as Will came closer.
"Alright, so what have you decided?" Will finally got to where the other four were
"We don't know if we will be able to battle it out in the formation Eric gave us, so we made another one where we will be in front, and if there is enough space we will switch to the formation Eric made." Gwen responded to Will's question.
Will nodded and Max pitched in. "Now that you were filled in, here is how the formation is going to go. Me and Andrew from your team will be on the front... " Max told Will the formation and after thinking for a while Will nodded his head.
"I'll trust you with this one as I don't have any idea of battle formations, but I also don't know a lot about the other people." Will said with a disappointed tone.
The group of five were situated in the outer edges of the 19 people as they wanted a bit of privacy while planning, but after they finished talking they began walking towards the center of the group.
As they made their way towards the middle, even though it didn't take long for them to get there, their advance already made them the center of attention.
Everyone was already looking at them, expecting something to be told.
"We request that Andrew, and any long-range Weapon Masters to come with us. We have made a temporary battle formation for entering the dungeon through the narrow door. The beginning is the most important part right now, after that you will move at out command." Max said after stepping forward, breaking the neat lining the 5 of them had at that moment.
The other leaders told Max the names of all the long-ranged Weapon Masters in their teams, but he couldn't remember them all at that time so he just generalized who needed to come.
After the four long-ranged Weapon Masters along with Andrew followed Max and the others, they began informing them about the formation and practiced with it, making a few changes and getting the feeling of it.
It took a few hours but it was all worth it, it would be crucial to be prepared as much as they can before entering. In the meanwhile while they were practicing, the door began shaking and stopped shaking from time to time, the undead became more restless as time went on, feeling the many creatures with life-force on the other side of the door. But no matter how much they tried it, no matter how long or how strong they shook the door, in the end they never broke through, and it also didn't seem like it was any close to breaking.
"Alright everyone, let's head in." Will, brimming with confidence, said. He was trying to make everyone feel more relaxed, as being clouded in the middle of battle would lead to them taking the wrong actions.
The temporary formation was made out of 10 people instead of 19, covering only one direction, not two as the one Eric made.
Max and Andrew, the two at the front, began descending towards the door that held the undead inside, followed by everyone else that made up the temporary formation, while the others watched them from the top of the stairs.
After reaching the door, Will broke through the formation and grabbed the handle and pulled on it.
The door creaked open, it opened slowly, but everyone looked at Will, seeing him with a look of awe. It didn't seem like it was hard to move the door, so why couldn't the undead come out?
As Will got out of the way, still holding the handle of the door. Max and Andrew immediately got into the tomb, securing that nothing came outside.
Nothing was heard, and nothing was seen. It was pitch black the only light that was present in the tomb was the light that came from outside. They couldn't identify the size of the room they were in, or how the place looked. There wasn't anything in between darkness and light, no shadows no anything.
"It's dark as hell in here!" Andrew shouted, not breaking eye contact with the darkness, ready to act to any sound or movement he may perceive.
Max and Andrew moved a bit more forward, leaving some place for the other to come in. As Will, the last person entering the dungeon, got inside, a chill was brought on everyone. Filled with death energy, mixed with a feeling they knew very well. Killing intent.
Burning flames were heard, and from the end of the hallway they were in, light began to spread towards them. As all the torches inside the tomb were lit, a scratching sound was heard, and after it stopped, a locking sound was heard. Will looked panicked behind them as he was the only one who could afford to and said:
"Guys the door locked itself!" Panicked and fear starting to creep into his mind, Will accidently shouted.
