The two boys explored every corner of the academy while they still could.
They didn't know if they would still be able to roam around freely after the academy formally started so after some consideration they used all their free days to explore the place, familiarizing themselves with the structure of this castle-looking academy.
While exploring around the place Max and Mark inevitably talked about their origins and who they were, gathering information about each other. During this period Max found out that Mark was actually a noble person, being the second son of the Howard House. Mark also found out about Max being a 'commoner' as nobles and royals called them but he didn't discriminate against him, even though they were of different status Max was able to be in the same academy as him which only showed Max's efforts and power.
The days went by and while doing so more and more people were present at the academy dorms each day but finally Monday has come.
Everyone inside the dorms was woken up by the loud sound of a horn.
"What the hell?!" Max being one of the people still sleeping cussed out as the loud sound waked him up as well.
"Agh! Make it stop!" The sound didn't stop for a few seconds and it was getting annoying, but as Max said that, as if to respond to his command, the sound stopped but then another voice was heard.
"Welcome students, everyone get ready and present yourselves at the auditorium inside the main building." The voice of a woman commanded in a sweet tone.
'Agh, but why do they have to make it so annoying?' Max wondered, he still heard buzzing because of the eerie sound from before.
Max got ready and after a while he met up with Mark inside the bathroom. They didn't talk much as they both wanted to go to the auditorium as soon as possible and to do that they had to get ready as fast as they could.
They got ready and left together. While passing through they could see lots of people coming out of their rooms, ready for their first day at the academy.
Everyone paced through towards the main building which was in the center and both Max and Mark made their way swiftly towards the auditorium while other students that didn't know where to go were looking around for the room they were supposed to enter.
It took a while but everyone found where the auditorium was. Max and Mark occupied front seats as they were one of the first people to enter the room.
In the middle of the stage a person stood tall, clad in a formal white suit, looking around at the adolescents that were seating themselves but as he saw the last person taking their seat and being attentive towards the stage he began his speech.
"I welcome every new student at Mana Magic Academy. You have newly awakened and from today onwards it will be our duty to help nurture you into strong individuals. We aren't here to help you step by step through this process, you are here to use our knowledge to improve your understanding..." The man continued the speech, showing powerful emotion with each word he spoke.
The speech lasted almost two hours in which the man on the stage spoke about the history of the Magic Academy along their way of learning here. They would be going two weeks straight, one week would be about learning while the other would be practical. After that, they would also get two weeks of free time in which they are free to do as they wish.
As the man on stage said, 'Everyone has a different path in life but it also means that everyone has a different way of growing in life as well. These two weeks are not to be wasted on recreation, during this time you will grow in your own ways alone. This will help in further development as you will not be dependent on anyone if you did this step correctly.'
Max understood the gist of it. The first week when they will be learning about magic, in fact, they would use the resources of the academy to learn about the way their own element works with the help of a teacher to guide them if they don't understand or fall on the wrong track.
While they have a practical week however they would be putting the information to use, and if they did any wrong steps they would be enlightened by the teacher at that time. The two free weeks they would have to reflect on what they need to do, study or practice while still meditating and increasing their magic capacity.
They had a lot more things to do during the two weeks they were free so they had to also make a plan about what they are going to do in those weeks.
"The last thing I have to say is this. When you leave the auditorium please reach your hand into the box at the entrance, you will pull out a small paper on which your class is noted on then proceed in finding your class as the first class is starting soon after. With this, my speech is concluded." The man said and as he moved a step forward a circle began extending from his feet upwards and as it covered his entire body, the cylinder shape broke apart revealing no one inside it.
"Oh wow, that was a lot of stuff to take note of," Mark addressed Max, talking about the speech they just heard.
"Yea, my head is still spinning but I got a general idea, let's go and see in which class we are in" Max began walking towards the entrance and as he finally reached the doorstep he saw the box that the man talked about at the end of the speech. He reached out his hand and took a small, folded, piece of paper. Mark did the same and they both opened it at the same time. Coincidentally on both of their papers wrote '1-B'.
"Hey look we are in the same classroom!" Mark remarked it first.
"It seems like it, let's go then, we don't want to be late for the first hour," Max said while beginning to walk towards another place. Mark followed, he knew the way towards where the classes were held but for some reason, he always followed Max. He realized it as well but doesn't feel wrong with Max leading the way which is why he didn't address it and continued following him.

'Class 1-B' These were the characters written above one of the doors which led inside of a class.
Max opened the door to find just one person inside, he was supposedly the teacher of this class and as he saw them, spoke.
"Welcome, Max Edward and Mark Howard, please take a seat and let's wait for your colleagues before we continue with the introductions."
The man wore a black robe and was reading from a book with a leather case, he had dark blue hair and dark-colored eyes. The aura around him felt heavy, Max didn't want to offend such a person especially on the first day so he paced into one of the front seats and Mark followed.
Mark felt a bit weird knowing that this man knew their names before even announcing themselves, 'Wasn't the class distributions random?' He wondered.
Time ticked by and more students came inside the room, seeing the teacher in front and also students in their seats they followed suit.
Twenty or so adolescents filled the room they were in and as the last one took a seat the man in front of the class closed his book loudly. Due to the class being quiet ever since they entered the room, the sound was heard by everyone.
"Welcome class 1-B, I am your teacher during the lecture weeks. You can call me teacher or address me by my name, Richard."
