Third Prince

--

"M-My prince!!!"

The young merman eyed the two flustered guards that were caught arguing in the moment of his sudden presence. It seemed to him that they were searching for something-- but, what?

"Is there something wrong? You two were restless," the boy repeated calmly, attempting to compose the two panicking guards that were fidgeting in their places.

'Prince Arthrole isn't someone we could fool. If he finds out that we're lying, we'll be doomed!' the two thought to themselves-- they would probably sweat waterfalls if they weren't underwater at the moment.

"Well?" Arthrole called out impatiently, crossing his arms with his book in one hand. "Don't you have an answer for leaving your posts?"

'H-How--?!'

Arthrole squinted his onyx orbs, knowing full well what the mermen were thinking of, "I just knew. Your expressions were obvious."
