"How is it you're looking more and more tired everyday?" Parisu muses as Kin closes his locker, banging his head onto the door.
"I don't know how I'm still standing..." he mutters.
"There there, you can always use muscle cramp as an excuse to not practice, the more excuses you make, the better!" she beams. Kin bangs his head again, only to be cushioned by Parisu's hand before he could gather the attention of other students which she didn't need now.
"Now, focus, examinations are on the way, we need to do our best in order to get good recommendations next year," she replies.
Kin nods solemnly. They were met with another crowd but they seem to be looking at them in astonishment rather than another person they expected.
"Nakamura Kin... is it?" he asks. Kin eyes widen in surprise, their jaws dropping, like a god just descended from the heavens right in front of them... but it's just Hayato. Kin feels his heart speed up a little, but at least he has seen enough to not get a heart attack- wait did he ask a question?
"Yes, What is it?" Parisu asks, coming to the rescue.
"I'm looking forward to making friends with you," he smiles," we're going to be rivals very soon, I'll wait for you," he replies.
"Rivals?" Parisu asks. Kin frowns, rival... in modelling? He's not even taking the fashion subject. He says nothing else and walks pass them, they were apparently holding up the whole corridor as no one follows him and scatters to make a path for him. They both sweat drops and briskly walks towards their classroom.
"Don't tell me you applied for something... again!" she exclaims. Kin was very sure he didn't click on any ads when he was playing games yesterday, there is no way he accidentally applied for a modelling job right? His resume is so empty!
"You need to tell me your secret," Parisu wipes a non-existent tear at her predicament." You're so lucky," she replies.
"R-really?" he asks, looking at his books nervously. He didn't know where this bunch of luck came from, wasn't he usually unlucky at chest draws?
"I guess..." he mutters, well, he might as well enjoy it while he could, he takes out his phone to play a game to test it out.
"Yo! Kin, I'd want you in my team," Eric beams," what do you think will be our project this year?" he asks.
"Hopefully it's not something dramatic, I don't want to be a love interest," Parisu grumbles.
"It'll be cool if we got a historical period one," Kenji grins.
"Class, please settle down, we are going to assign projects now," Ms Aoki replies.
After class ended with their projects assigned, Kin looks at the topic in worry, it wasn't anything they expected, it was an english movie, more specifically, a detective one.
"Thank god, there is no damsel role," Parisu sighs holding out the card that says 'detective' on it. So did Kin.
"You'd be the sidekick though," Eric teases.
"Ah... I'm taking the secondary role," Kin replies, already making notes.
"Eh? Why?" Kenji asks.
"I mean... Parisu is way better at acting than me," he replies.
"Though if you see other shows, there is little to no female leads in action movies," Eric replies.
"Then this will be a good change," Parisu argues and labels her role card. Kin smiles at her in encouragement which she returns as easily. They spend the rest of the time deciding on the script.
"Kin-kun," Reina calls after a little bit of hesitation, but Kin was already in a rush.
"Sorry Reina-san, we can talk tomorrow," Kin replies before catching up with Parisu. Reina looks at the two with a little bit of contemplation, before shaking her head, she was probably being a little too self-centered... if anything Kin would join the club for Parisu right? They seem rather... close.
They walk towards where Eric and Kenji is waiting for them to practice. While they were practicing, someone was watching them from the shadows.
"Means that the culprit is here!" Parisu exclaims, knocking Eric off his feet. Kin sweat drops as he drops onto the ground.
"That's too much," Kenji mutters, sitting on the chair like a director.
"You! You must be fearing for your life or cheering right now, how can you sit like that?" Parisu scolds, Kenji was sitting rather calmly with legs crossed. Kin lies onto the bench politely instead of the floor.
"This is just a rough draft, no need to get so worked up about it," Eric chuckles, patting her back. She sighs, taking a sip of her drink that is left on the table. Kin sits right up as they took a break, Parisu pulling out the script to make some adjustments.
"Well I think it's great," Kin smiles.
'Of course he thinks it's great, he thinks everything I do is fine,' she snorts internally. But other than the lack of emotional cues, she finds the plot quite good as well. Now if only she can get their act together.
Kin tries his hardest despite being given a small role, which makes him the only role Parisu was satisfied with, she chased the other lazy asses away and walks Kin to the bus stop.
"You did great today, thanks for putting up with the other two," she shakes her head," I'll make sure they get their head into the scene so that they won't pull our grades down," she replies in disdain. Kin sweat drops and nods as he listen to her complain until no end, he breathe a sigh of relief when his stop came, he could finally play some games. That thought was interrupted by the sight of his father at home early.
He pauses a while, placing his shoes on the rack before immediately heading for his room.
"Wait," his father urged, Kin stops as soon as he says that without hesitation at all, resigned to his fate, he takes a few steps back to be visible to his father when he was talking, he silently remembers the time when he had to keep scolding him when he froze at the staircase and had to talk to the wall... then again, that isn't so pleasant, it's not like his father would hit him after all.
"Why are you still here?" Kin takes it back, he definitely wants him out of the house, he mourns internally for his warm bed upstairs.
"Aren't you supposed to move into dorms?" he asks.' Oh... that's what that was' he thinks.
"Um... I don't have to since it's near our house..." he replies.
His father looks back onto his work on his phone," save bus fare, just move there."
Kin swallows the protest in his throat as he leaves when his father's distracted, it's not like he'll remember the next day anyway.
