Day 11

"Eric!" Parisu exclaims, her voice scaring him and Kin, who is behind her, awake.

Kin frowns before looking down at his phone, seeing the ton of messages just sent in the group chat he was just added to.

Ron-Kun: I bet a pack of marshmallows that the next person will also be a dancer

Hajime-Kun: Ew I wouldn't want that

Tanaka Sou-Kun: I would... I'll bet the newly bought chocolate bar then!

Haon-Kun: Hey! Who are you to decide that? That is my chocolate!

For some reason, the chatroom is hella lively, but he got the gist of it. He packs his bags and looks at Parisu apologetically," I need to run, I'll send you a video of my progress later."

She didn't manage to stop him before he already left. She sighs, they were about finish anyway but he seems rather reoccupied so she let him go before ushering the half-lidded boys home.

Despite it being the middle of the night, he easily makes his way through the dark and back to the company, halfway through he seems to have decided on something as a drunk person stumbled next to him. He ignored the common sight and goes towards the top greeting Ms Yume on the way up.

His abrupt entrance made all pairs of eyes in the room shift to him.

"Oh! Nii-san! I thought you had a project to do today?" Haon asks cheerfully.

Kin, however, was more focused on the new boy in the room, who smiles at him. Kin smiles back after realising staring might be too awkward and he didn't want to scare him away.

"I must have just missed the audition," he replies, though other than him, there wasn't anyone who had their spot secured, Kin can see why, of course, he was scouted the same way.

"Looks like big brother has a common friend here,"

Can Hajime not call him big brother and be sarcastic at the same time?? If it was anybody else there will no doubt be a fight. But the new boy didn't seem to detect it.

"How can you tell?" he beams," we've actually met before at the beach, remember me?" he asks with shining eyes.

How can Kin forget those puppy eyes with a sharp chin that can be used as a knife? Though isn't he too young to be here?? Well... at least it was someone he knew he had no problem getting along with.

"Well while you're here, check out our debut song, it's going to be shocking I bet," Sou smiles and plays the song already in the disk player. Seems like they had already listened to it given how they were jamming to it but it is definitely surprising to Kin when he thinks of idols, he would associate them with love songs, but this song is clearly different.

Kin listens without making any noise hoping they didn't see his expression as he schooled it, this has to be like a draft or the first level right? He doubts with what Mr Bokkai usually plays during dance practice, this was a song they can't dance to.

He may have underestimated, however, Mr Bokkai's ability, while it was something Sou, Hajime and Yuu agreed on and thought that would limit the amount of dancing or even better, change their mind about this idol thing. Unfortunately for them, after playing it to Mr Kirima gave them the thumbs up.

They stay there dumbfounded as Tanaka starts getting into the beat. They may have dug their own graves.

Unbeknownst to the others who were outside practising the usual dances that Mr Bokkai taught them given that Kin was already here, he might as well practice.

"Big brother, please put your arms a little higher," Hideki replies and Kin almost stumble onto the ground.

"Um, this goes to all of you but you all don't really need to be so formal," Kin rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Then can brother make sure your hands are at a forty-five-degree angle?" Hideki asks. Kin's smile twitches a little, this is going to be a long night.
