"So I think it's best if we store our energy for the last part," Haon replies, Hajime besides him nods, Kin blinks and he is pretty sure he wasn't dreaming nor was he mishearing things. He enters an empty practice room, the only other people here are: Hideki, Sou and the new guy where are the others?
"Like this," Hideki is adjusting Sou's position while Kanto, the new kid, notices him and skips over with a cheerful expression.
"Let me show you the new choreography," he smiles. Kin allows the boy to drag him to the laptop and opens the video. Kin's eyes were already hurting at the beginning, he stares at the screen not really seeing anything but the stunts they'll have to do. This was a whole other level of dance!
"Everyone is trying to take out or add a few things, so you don't have to worry," Kanto beams as if reading his mind," don't you think it'd be cool if I was at the centre?" he asks.
'Kid?! You really want to break your bones?!' Kin exclaims internally but remains calm if Sou and Hajime aren't making too much trouble out of it, then he can't really say anything either. Did Hajime just breakdance??!
By the time the minute hand reaches 12, Kin was already on the ground like a worm, groaning from sore joints. Haon pats his back in consolation. Just so happens, Mr Tanaka enters the dance practice room, glad that they look like they are working hard...
At first, his eyes were relaxed but then his eyes landed on something Kanto takes out from his bag.
"K-kid- where-" He gapes, Kanto looks at him with wide eyes and looks down at the plushie he took out.
"Oh, this? I found it in the bush... it looked pitiful, so I took it," he replies, not really sensing anything wrong. In his hands, is a Whale plushie, dirtied from the soil, yet it was living in his bag.
"This kid..." Mr Tanaka sighs," you don't have anything important in your bag do you?" he asks, holding out a hand," I'll clean it for you."
"Really?! Thanks, Mr!" Kanto exclaims," and no! I only brought lunch boxes and a pencil case..." he beams. Kin, curious, shifts over to Kanto but Mr Tanaka had already zipped up the bag. Kanto pats his hair but Kin quickly dodged given it looked like it was the hand that touched the plush.
"Remember to take it from me," he replies before leaving. Kin sits up and looks at the closed door in confusion. Wasn't he supposed to be teaching them the choreo?
Haon seems to have sensed something wrong as well, he claps his hands to gather the attention of the members," come on, let's go through the dance together."
Spending the whole day going through the dance, everyone else seems to have gotten their part, even if they didn't Haon easily showed them easier ways to do so. He was about to help Kin stretch but he runs away from him and hides behind Sou, who looks a little torn between the 'dance captain' and the 'student'.
While they were 'playing' with each other, Min-jun, who is said to have already left, looks into the dance practice room from the door, looking to be a little conflicted.
Outside, Mr Tanaka brings the bag to the office, Mr Kirima and Ms Yume were having a heated discussion before Mr Tanaka arrived.
"What is it Bokkai?" he asks.
"I found our muse," he replies, opening the bag. Their two reaction contrasted a lot of each other, one of defeat and another happiness. Mr Kirima walks towards him as if greeting his savior.
"Tell me, who was it? It's the Sou kid isn't it?" Mr Tanaka shakes his head." The Kin kid?"
"It's the newest kid sir," he replies. Ms Yuma breaths in loudly in the background. Mr Tanaka was quite perplexed, surely even if his prized pupil didn't get the role, it's not something to be stupefied about.
"I-I see..." he mutters before waving him to continue on his way.
"I'm telling you," Ms Yume continues from her conversation earlier, rising from her seat," we need to finish what we started, if not don't even bother debuting this team," she huffs before leaving.
Mr Kirima sighs and looks at his desk in apprehension.
