Battle

'Alright! It's my time to shine!' I said to myself as I stood facing Daniel in the ring. It looked like he was saying the same thing to himself. I had my dagger in my right hand and my stone sword in my left. Daniel held a shield in his left hand and his iron sword in his right. I decided I would use the shield to my advantage and not his. How I would do that, I only had a hunch.

"Fight!!!"

The announcer shouted and both me and Davie launched ourselves at eachother. We were both the offense first, defense second, kind of fighters. I jumped on his shield and right over him, causing him to fall forwards and roll over his shield. Good thing he rolled, or I would have won in record timing.

He stood up quickly and his shield lit on fire so I couldn't do that again he then charged and me like a rhino and I jumped out of the way, sticking my leg out so I could trip him. He saw it coming and jumped over my leg and swung at me with his sword. I made sure to stay more on his left side because I knew his sword couldn't reach me there, one of the many disadvantages of having a shield.

Now you guys probably know why I chose a dagger instead. We continued charging and dodging eachother until Daniel finally dropped his shield and I had an opening. I raced to him with super-speed and kicked him down. He had the same speed however and picked himself up and ran behind me just as quickly.

Before he was able to swing at my back I teleported beside him, a move he was definitely not expecting, and kicked him over again. I then didn't allow him to get up and tackled him to the ground. I could tell by the way he was fighting that he was still used to fighting against Bruce, who was all strength and no agility.

I was a mixture of the two different styles. Soon my foot was on Daniel and my dagger was pushing on his 'neck.' (remember it's Minecraft) I saw the desire to get back up in his eyes but he finally yielded and I won the match.

"Hazel has won the battle!!" The enderman shouted and the crowd of mobs cheered like crazy. I jumped up and looked around with an excited smile. 'Yess!' I exclaimed in my head. I didn't even have to use my weapons or power that much. Herobrine and the other two with glowing white eyes clapped, as did Daniel when he stood up. I was glad to see that he wasn't angry at me for winning. We had become pretty good friends. He was always the happy guy unless someone took his lunch of course.

"Good job Hazel." Daniel said as he patted my back. "Now I know not to take a shield into battle when going against you." He then walked into the door he had entered and I walked into mine for a break. The rooms behind the large, almost scary door was pretty comfy. It was pretty small though the door was huge. The room had a single chair and a few shelves with food, water, and healing potions, which you weren't allowed to take into the arena. I grabbed a bottle of water and sipped on it. I had learned by then that the worst thing to do after a fight is to chug down an entire bottle of water, especially cold water. I then sat down and rested my legs and drank a healing potion. I wanted to be fully healed up before going into the next fight, which would be me vs Bruce. And I hadn't fought him as much as Daniel but I did know that he was more of a muscle over speed kind of fighter.

The door opened again and I walked out, seeing Bruce stepping out of his room too. He had an iron shoulder piece over his left arm and a gold one over his right. He also wore iron leggings and boots. He looked at me with a friendly smile but I knew he was just wanting even to lower my guard so I would go easier on him. Some kind of strategy he must have picked up from somewhere. I didn't lower my guard, but I did smile back. We stood around the center just a few blocks away from each other like how I and Daniel had started, and waited for the round to start.

"Fight!!!" The enderman yelled again.

This time only I charged. Bruce stood in a defensive position and waited for my sword to hit his shield. I landed feet first on his shield and jumped off, sending him staggering sideways a little. He seemed to know how to use a shield better because as I charged again he used it to defend and attack at the same time.

For the first moves, he rarely used his ax at all. I jumped around him but he was quick to turn around and face me. His axe then lit on fire and he started slicing at me. Now it was my turn to defend. I used my sword to block a few swings but then it was knocked right out of my hands.

I started running to it but Bruce sent a sphere of fire at it and the sword exploded, causing me to fall back by the blast. I fell onto my back but kept my dagger in my hand. Bruce ran over and I teleported just as he was about to cut me in two. 'Come on Hazel! You need a sword to take down Bruce!' I thought in panic to myself.

Bruce kept swinging at me and I had to jump over or duck under so I wouldn't get all cut up. My mind started to blur as the same motions of jumping and ducking continued and I was surprised when suddenly Bruce kicked me down. The air was knocked out of me and I quickly teleported to the edge of the arena so I would have time to recover. I looked up and saw Bruce running right at me.

I had to think fast. I then thought of my abilities. I was allowed to use all of them, even the item summoning one. I quickly thought of an iron sword and focused hard. One appeared in my left hand and I smiled.

I had summoned it just in time to raise it over my head and block the incoming ax. Thinking about my powers, I lit the sword on fire and now both our weapons were blazing hot. I swung my sword around and he jumped away.

I took that time to jump over and behind him. I kicked him in the back before he could turn around and he slammed against the wall in front of him. I then pushed my iron sword to his back and my iron dagger to his neck.

"You yield?" I asked him with a smile.

"Sure." He finally sighed and I let go. He pushed himself off the wall and we shook hands. It was more like a fist bump since, no fingers.

"Hazel has won round two!!" The announcer shouted and the crowd cheered again. Same routine. Both of us walk back into the doors we had walked out of and sat down to rest. Bruce was probably glad in a way that he didn't have to fight, Audrey. I thought that if she hadn't arrived I would have won already. The thought of facing her made me sink in my chair. I ate some chicken and drank some water and healing potions before the door opened again. This time the arena felt like a whole different place. I had a feeling that this was going to be a fight to the death.

Audrey walked like a bounty hunter wearing a leather jacket out of her door, looking directly at me. I could tell she had a plan in her head. She held her bow in her right hand and a few arrows in the other. I gulped a painful amount of air when I realized that I had never actually practiced deflecting arrows before. She smiled evily at my worried self. We stood a few blocks away from eachother like I had done before against the others. But my challenger looked almost like a beast ready to go wild any minute.

"Fight!!!" The enderman announcer shouted and I ran full speed towards Audrey. She lifted her bow and aimed it at me. She sent the arrow flying and I dodged it just in time. She shot more and I had to run out of the way.

I jumped and ducked over and under the arrows. I felt cool when I even did a backflip to avoid a couple. But I wasn't quick enough when an arrow hit my left arm. I grabbed the arm in pain but she shot again, this time it hit the arrow already in my arm at an angle, causing the one in my arm to be pushed further in. It hurt so badly and I shouted in pain, but I didn't give up.

If she was playing long-range, so was I. I moved my arm up and several Netherack blocks rose into the air. Audrey's eyes widened when she saw my new ability and now it was her the urn to dodge. I threw my arms into her direction and the blocks collided with her. She was knocked to the ground but quickly stood back up.

Her eyes shined brighter and she teleported behind me. I was expecting it so before she even came into full form I turned around to face her. When she materialized in front of me I swung my sword at her before she could react. It hit her right in the chest. Even I was surprised. I staggered back, letting go of my sword and leaving it in her chest.

I couldn't believe it. Would she die, because of me?! Audrey staggered back too, but in pain. She pulled the sword out and held it with her left hand. Then she did something really unexpected, she smiled.

"You're getting better." She said with a smirk. "But this is no longer a game." Audrey then closed her eyes tightly, and when she opened them. I jumped back when I saw glowing neon purple pupils in her eyes. The whites of her eyes were still glowing though. Other mobs gasped and I saw Herobrine lean forwards in his throne.

"Y- your, eyes." I pointed out.

"I know right?!" She said excitedly, making it obvious that she was acting. "You guys really didn't think I was doing nothing in The End, did you?! With help from a friend, I was able to learn things you could only dream of.." Her evil smile grew.

I hadn't noticed it until at that moment but I looked down at Audrey's chest, where I had stabbed her, and the cut was completely gone. Not even any blood. Audrey smirked when she saw me notice her cut was gone. She rose her arm with the sword in her hand and glowing purple particles circled around it. When the sword was visible again, it wasn't the same. Instead, it was a deadly sharp obsidian sword. It was my turn to be surprised by this new power. Without saying anything, Audrey put the sword to her bow and pulled it back. She released the string and it went flying, right at little helpless me. I'm embarrassed to say that I was too surprised to even move. The sword struck me right in the chest, but not where I would die right away. I felt the blood dripping down my body as I dropped to my knees. The entire crowd erupted into an angry growling. Everyone knew it was against the rules to injure someone to the point of death. The only reason they were not as concerned about Audrey was that she had literally just escaped being banished to The End. Audrey didn't seem to care about the crowd though. She walked right over to me slowly and dramatically. When she got close enough she slowly knelt down right in front of me and whispered;

"Oh, Hazel. You have no idea what it feels like..." She then grabbed the sword and yanked it out of my chest, causing even more pain. "..Do you yield? If not, I'm not even close to finished yet." Her threatening whisper sent chills down my spine.

"It's, just, a game." I told myself out loud.

"No... It's not.." Audrey whispered again in an even more chilling tone. Then a starry portal appeared behind her and three mini, but still big enough to ride, ender dragons flew through it, literally.

"Audrey!! You are violating the rules!" Herobrine shouted from my left. I was still on my hands and knees trying not to die. I had my hand covering the wound on my chest and it was covered with blood. Everyone was a bit uneasy by this point.

"This doesn't concern you Herobrine!!" Audrey shouted as she looked at the one sitting on the throne. She thrust her arm into his direction and two of the small dragons flew at him. Herobrine pulled out his sword and began fighting the two. More small dragons flew through the portal and began attacking the others in the crowd. Soon, everyone was fighting. The dragons' flames caused smoke to rise and thicken in the air, soon it was hard for me to breathe. Audrey just stood laughing at the chaos. She was more evil than I could imagine.

"Stop.. Please..." I pleaded to Audrey. She just looked down at me and kicked me onto my side. She then creepily knelt down to my level and whispered again into my ear.

"No... but good thing I need you alive for this to work.." She smirked again and grabbed me by my right arm. I was not willing to go with her but was too weak to fight back, so she just dragged me through the portal.

"Hazel!!!" I heard Herobrine shout from behind me. But it was too late. The portal closed behind me once my whole miserable self was through. Soon I was being dragged on End Stone instead of Netherack, and it was surprisingly warmer.

"Get up!" Audrey demanded as she dropped my arm. I didn't move an inch. I wanted to make things as hard for her as possible, so I pretended to be dead. She didn't like that, but picked my arm up again and continued dragging me through the End. This was definitely not normal...
