It was early in the morning when I straitened the pack on my back and looked at the sunrise. It had been a while since I had smelled the pretty morning breeze and felt it blowing gently across my face. I breathed in the fresh air and said to myself;
"It's a new day." Then I started walking in the direction the compass in my hand pointed to. Yesterday ended with me packing everything I might need for the trip. I had to bring a backpack because I had filled my inventory with food and items of all kinds. I then had fallen asleep and Herobrine woke me up so I would have an early start. I was then taken to the Nether portal closest to Minecraftia and, BOOM, I was walking through a small meadow towards a plain oak forest. I couldn't seem to get over the peaceful breeze that blew by. It had been more than three months since I had last felt it. I had underestimated the calming feeling it gave me.
I saw some zombies hurrying for the shade of a tree before they caught on fire. Usually, someone would turn away to avoid them, but not me. Herobrine told me that they would only attack me if someone was nearby to help keep my cover. At least I had a way of knowing whether someone was near or not when mobs were around.
I walked into the forest and the shade of the trees rested on my back, but the gaps in the leaves let light stream through. It was really pretty. Everything seemed greener than I remembered.
><>Heronrine's POV<><
I walked back and forth in front of the portal anxiously. Bruce and Daniel just watched me like the freaking freak I was. I couldn't help but feel annoyed at my overprotective self.
"I mean, what if she got hurt?.." I grumbled to myself as I picked up my pace and took a quick swinging turn to walk the other way. "Who knows what could happen to her?." I was just as annoyed with myself as I was that the two boys were just standing staring at me, probably judging me on the inside. "Would you two quit staring?!" I finally shouted as I turned to them quickly. The two just as quickly turned their heads but waited there as if they wanted me to tell them something to do. And I could understand why too. This place was pretty boring at times.
"Sir, I am sure Hazel will be alright." Daniel tried to comfort. But the fact that he just proved he knew about my state of mind, even though I already could tell he knew, just made me angrier. I huffed and grumbled not even full words under my breath as I continued pacing.
"She, Hazel, my niece, going into the city and becoming a little ant-like the rest of em just sickens me." I grumbled in full words.
"Then why did you send her there in the first place?" Bruce asked. He rarely asked me anything, well, he rarely asked anything at all, so his words intrigued me. I thought of the answer carefully before saying.
"Well, she, uuuum.." I felt miserable as I looked at Buster-, Buch-, no, Bruce! Geez, the name always mixes me up! "..It is important for the mission. She is unknown and has no record of ever being seen with me or with glowing eyes." I said, but I could tell he wasn't satisfied.
"Uuu, one of us could just disguise ourselves. We are even able to turn into some animals, remember?" Buch-, I mean Bruce, pointed out. I finally sighed in defeat.
"Alright, alright fine.. I just want to see what she does when I am not around to stop her from giving information or whatever. I was simply wondering exactly how much we can trust her." I finally admitted. The other two looked both surprised and understanding at the same time.
"I guess that makes sense." Daniel finally said.
"Yeah, glad you didn't tell her that while explaining the plan." Bruce chuckled. I smiled slightly. Bruce rarely even smiled.
"Yeah, and now you have to make sure you two don't tell her. Even years after when we have all won this reality, maybe even the already warring world above." I said to the other boys.
"...How can you be so sure that we will win?" Daniel asked slowly. I just stared into the glowing purple portal and smiled evilly, which is my favorite kind of smile btw, and said;
"Because.. the ultimate weapon is almost complete." The other two behind me decided to do the same as I was, practicing their evil smiles as well. But mine looked the best, like always!
