As you can imagine, both me and my uncle were exhausted. And the adrenaline that had kept us up for so long faded after a while after the big scary cloud was out of sight. It had been my turn flying so I was the one who finally stopped flying and sent us crashing down into some trees. We weren't too high up and the leaves caught us from hitting the ground, so I knew it was decently safe.
"Let's find some shelter.." Herobrine said groggily once we were both down from the tree. He then walked off without really any idea as to where he was going, and I dragged my feet, following not too close behind.
Not too long later we spotted a small entrance to a cave in the side of a little hill.
"This place looks good enough." My uncle sighed as he walked right in. We didn't use our powers that time to make a fire for us to sit around. The sun was slowly setting outside the cave. Just in time.
"Well, this week surely has been.. eventful." I half chuckled with the hopes that it would help lighten the mood a little. Herobrine however just kept staring blankly at the fire, probably trying to figure out who or what that was. To be honest, I was doing the same thing. And it didn't take us any time at all for both of us to lay down in our own little rock hard corners of the cave and fall fast asleep.
-------------------------------------------
"Hazel!" Herobrine shook me awake.
"What?" I growled as I slowly began waking up.
"It's here!!" Herobrine sounded panicked and desperate for me to wake up.
"What is?!" I questioned, slowly sitting up.
"Fluffy cloud Hazel!. Big, Fluffy, Cloud!!" He shouted as he pulled on my arm. That got me to wake up. I snapped awake and heard those strange noises. The same ones I heard when the cloud was chasing us. I stood to my feet and felt them shake under me. Herobrine pulled on my hand. He ran with me to the entrance of the cave. But we only saw darkness and two terrifying eyes staring back. Those eyes alone made me feel like millions of angry souls were critiquing my every movement. So I pulled hard in the opposite direction of those eyes, almost causing my uncle to fall backwards by the sudden change in direction. "Where are you going, Hazel?!" He asked me with panic on his face, but still obliged to the change in direction.
"Away from that!" I informed. So we both then ran deep into the cave. We ran through the maze-like tunnels of the cave until we finally hit a dead end. And I could tell that thing was still coming.
"Raaawrgrgrrr..." a zombie groaned as it came following after us. Herobrine drew his sword and sliced the monster as I stood watching, confused.
"Wh- why did you kill it? It could have helped us." I told him. Herobrine just looked at me with worry.
"No.. it can't! Whatever that cloud thing is, has taken over the mobs! I- I can't control them anymore." My uncle told me with his face full of distraught. My eyes widened a little in fear.
"Then, how do we get out of here?" I asked.
"We can't simply teleport somewhere else..." Herobrine put on his thinking face. Then I watched as an idea came to mind. "Out of the way." He ordered. I moved away from the stone wall I was in front of and Herobrine faced it, and his hands glowed brightly. Then I watched in amazement as a portal appeared on the wall. Through it, I could see vague shapes of trees and the night sky. But I couldn't tell if it was pixels or not, it was that obstructed. I began walking towards it in wonder until my uncle's eyes flickered and the portal shrunk to half it's original size.
"It shrunk." I pointed out the obvious.
"I can see that! Looks like you will have to crawl through!" Herobrine shouted over the noises getting closer and closer. It was a mixture of a mob army sound and the cloud of death sound.
"Well what about you?!" I asked as I looked back with worry.
"I'll be fine! I will fight him off!" He lied. "But don't worry about me! You need to get yourself to safety!" I almost felt like crying at that point.
"No! I can't leave you!!" I objected.
"And I can't keep this portal open forever! So just go!!" Herobrine ordered. I looked back and saw the portal shrinking even more. I looked back with a couple small tears in my eyes as I saw the selflessness in his face. It looked like he was really struggling just to keep the portal from closing. I then ran up to my uncle and gave him a big hug.
"I'm not leaving you.." I sobbed quietly. The portal slowly shrunk to too small for me to crawl through and tears of hopelessness filled Herobrine's eyes.
"..I know how to fix this.." Herobrine growled.
"Fix what?" I asked with a sniffle.
"..Everything.." Was Herobrine's only answer.
><>Herobrine's POV<><
"Everything.." I said, new determination filling my mind. Hazel looked at me with a confused look. I really was going to miss her. Then I did what she least expected. I used the energy not being used to keep the portal up to shrink her. But not just that.
When I looked down into my arms I saw that I was holding baby Hazel, just like I had held her the day she was born. I looked down at the precious baby with tears in my eyes.
"See you soon." I whispered softly to the young child. She just looked up at me with big innocent eyes. They were finally innocent again. Having forgotten everything about her past. And I hoped she would never remember. I then kissed her forehead and began walking to the portal to slide her through.
But then, those noises. They were right around the corner. I turned quickly around and my eyes widened when I saw the darkness creeping it's way towards us. I had no time. I quickly tossed Hazel through with the hopes she would be okay on the other side. I felt something sharp wrap around my arm like a tentacle made of saw blades and pull me back. Before whatever it was could stick it's limbs or whatever through, I closed the portal. All I could do was hope Hazel was okay as everything turned black.
><>3rd Person POV<><
Through the tiny portal, a small child was sent flying through it. The baby landed in the soft leaves so the worst thing out of the experience was a little shaken up baby. The world around the baby was pixely, dark, cold, and wet. But not too cold. Just a bit too chilly for a little helpless child. After the initial shock had passed through the child. Little baby Hazel began crying..
"..What is that?" A female voice asked through some shrubbery. She must have been talking to herself because no one answered her. Then a woman poked from behind a tree and saw the baby laying on the floor. An old dog poked from behind as well and quickly ran to see if he or she could help. "Oh my goodness! Who would leave a little baby out here?" The lady asked herself and her dog as she ran to pick the baby up. Once in warm arms, Hazel calmed down a little and started falling asleep right away. "Awwww. Little baby girl. Let's take you to camp and ask counselor DJ if he can help find your parents. And if not, you can stay with me." She smiled at the baby's adorableness. Hazel drifted off to sleep as the young lady carried her to who knows where.

It was 2017 when I sent her away. I had thrown her a few years into the future with the hopes that I could meet her when all the fighting was over. It has passed that time, however, and I fear I will never see her ever again. My only hope: That she never remembers who I was... -Brian
