Hell

"First of all, to correct a misconception in your thinking, you are not weak, and you have your advantages compared to other students of the same year." Longinus did not directly state the decision but instead made a detailed analysis.

"First, those who are qualified to enter the boot camp are the best of the major branches as well as the headquarters, think about two years ago, aren't all of you having a mindset that I'm the best in the world and nobody will accept it?"

A few people show their shame as if they have been embarrassed for being "bullying and cooling" that year.

"But now you have formed your group, which is, to put it bluntly, a faction of our G2 branch. Factions are a terrible way to describe it, but the group's power will allow you to access more resources and achieve higher and faster progress within the camp."

Gregory and the others had flashing looks in their eyes. Yes, there might not necessarily be someone like Ensign Longinus from other branches or headquarters who could convince or even unite them. The strength of the team was their advantage.

"Secondly, you've captured quite a few pirates with me, and the number of deadly fights you've experienced should be rare among the previous cadets, and although you have rarely done special training in hell with me, it's quite a lot in terms of amounts of training."

"You will think yourselves weak when you are unconsciously comparing yourselves to me, but you are strong enough compared to the rest of your peers, or else Commodore Adkin wouldn't have such high expectations for us."

The radiance in Abraham and the others' eyes grew more bright, so it wasn't that they were too weak, but was the comparison to use instead too monstrous? So are they free of that hell training?

Mmm! Let's wait for the boss to finish the third point before we make a plan!

"Thirdly, you'll have to go through special training in hell with me later, and I'm sure that after completing the special training, you'll be able to have a brand new brilliant glory!" Longinus broadened his devilish smile.

On the other hand, Gregory and the others were stunned and froze on the spot, their lips mumbling as they said, "Can we... can we withdraw our request?"

"You ~say~ something?" said Longinus in a more extended voice.

A few people were looking lifeless, their eyes were numb, and they reeked like defeated dogs.

"Well, let's go to the beach later. I'll be sailing in a few days, so I'd better hurry up and give you guys a special training session."

...

The sea breeze was blowing on the shore. All of them looked like if they were looking to die when veritable purgatory was going to await them except Bone, who leaped to his feet.

"Well, let's start warming up before we go to the sea!"

"Boss, it's better for me to be a sniper when it comes to warming up and stuff." Andre gulped and struggled.

"Sure, as long as the others agree," Longinus said helpfully.

Seeing that the others were casting their dangerous gazes at him, Andre was composed of the heart: "Haha, just kidding, just kidding..."

"Are you ready? It's going to have to start warming up!" Longinus warned, and then the figure lost its tracks before everyone's eyes.

"Remember what I said? Give your back to a trustworthy comrade!" Longinus' voice comes from behind him, making Abraham feel horrified for a moment, and without even thinking about it, he takes a shot to the back via some elbows.

However, his arm was caught directly, and the overwhelming force forced him to move.

On the other side, Bone's fierce katana took chances to attack, and Longinus' Kenbunshoku Haki also captured the bullets fired at a tricky angle diagonally as the golden eagles that glided and dived through the sky.

In the next moment, Abraham's body was thrown towards Bone, and the blade instantly struck, Longinus dodging the bullet behind him and grabbing the golden eagle's long wings to smash it into the ground.

"Good teamwork, just not skilled enough," Longinus commented as he kicked Bone into the beach dozens of meters away.

"Watch out, boss!" Algernon shouted aloud, but it was the only one of the nine of them besides Gregory, who could turn sound waves into laser-like power, and he was the only one with the sonic fruit that could turn sound waves into strength.

"Just converting the power of sound waves into laser is just wasteful to its potential, think more about alternative ways to develop it," Longinus said smoothly as he easily avoided the attack.

This kind of directed attack was powerful but not difficult to avoid. It might have more potential if it could naturally develop an ability similar to the Lion's Roar power in otherworldly soul memory.

...

It didn't take long before they had been defeated, thanks to Longinus, who had gathered several of his powers.

"I can't believe it lasted ten minutes this time, but it sure doesn't look like we're not making any progress!" Gregory said with a bruised and swollen face gleeful.

"Hoo-hoo!" Algernon gasped, "Boss's starters sure are not easy to get through!"

"The muscles and bones felt like they were broken... It's the beginning of a nightmare to proceed with the next test in this situation!" Andre said with a lifeless look on his face.

"Enjoy this precious time of rest. Another nightmare will soon start!" Austin's eyes were determined to look at the calm sea.

The next moment, Longinus leaped out of the sea and said as he left, "Get into the sea, I have found for you the sea king class."

The people looked terrifying, if they were fighting on the surface, none of them would be afraid, but diving into the deep sea, not to mention the seawater's resistance, the pressure and breathing problems alone made it harder for them to continue.

But none of them says much, and with a single leap of a fish into the sea, the violent waves are soon spread to the surface, and the tide surges, while the two abilities user, Gregory, and Algernon, follow Longinus to the next object.

...

At an altitude of several thousand meters, even the oxygen was thin, and Algernon said with a flushed face in fear, "Do we have to do this much? I don't remember having that last time!"

Gregory, who had turned into a golden eagle to carry the two men, was even struggling to speak, "Calm down, man! I'm not sure I can stop you guys on the last second."

"It's only at the line between life and death that the potential within you can explode, are you ready?"

"...you guys?" Gregory sounded terrified, "Boss, please stop it!"

Longinus calmly shackled Kairoseki handcuffs to the golden eagle's body, and as soon as the great bird regressed to human form by a single shift, all three fell at the same time.

"Ahhhh! Please help, Gregory, you bastard, hurry up and transform!"

"Kairoseki was touching me, and now I have weak limbs, so I can't use my abilities at all!" Gregory screamed as he collapsed.

"There's still half a minute left at the most, Gregory, push yourself as hard as you can to the limit of your potential."

If the last-minute came, he would use Seimei Kikan to transform his body into a gliding parachute temporarily, and then use his long hair to bind them and save them with a few bruises at most.

Of course, he did not tell the two about this.

"Ahhhh! Boss, I hate you!"

(I was going to do a couple of chapters, but considering the lack of current points, I'll temporarily postpone some parts of the story.)
