Kids Are Still Young, Better Kill Them!

The dusty memories began to awaken at the end of Longinus' words, and all the rescued slaves were glaring at the same boy who had previously caused them to be unable to escape.

Nothing good comes out of a thousand deaths!

Not to mention an eleven or twelve-year-old boy, even a soldier who has experienced battlefield killing would be at a loss for words if he were suddenly stared at by so many anger-filled eyes.

"What...what do you guys want?"

Being stared at by so many angry eyes, the little boy was already not that tough as he was before, he dared to confront everyone alone early because he knew those pirates would back him up, but now, that Marine... didn't seem as easy to talk to as those pirates!

"And you have the nerve to ask what we want? If Marine-san hadn't arrived in time just now, Robin would have had her leg broken by that group of pirates who ran back to save us!"

"It's just a broken leg, it's not going to kill us, and besides, it's fine, isn't it?" The boy kept muttering grudgingly.

"You..."

Seeing many people approaching him with angry faces, the little boy instantly panicked and spoke in a low voice, " Worst case, worst case... Let me apologize."

"Huh? An apology? Is this the kind of thing that a simple apology can fix? Because of your selfishness alone, you almost got us all killed!"

"Don't you go too far! I've said I'd apologize what else do you want?" Who knows, the little boy's frustration erupted, and he took control of the momentum.

The man who had questioned him before was rendered "speechless" and looked to Longinus for help, while the boy seemed to have found his strength, "So what if the Marine, I've apologized, would he dare to kill me?"

Longinus rubbed his smooth chin and uttered something that would make that boy shudder, "A death sentence? Not that it's inevitable."

"You, what gives you the right to kill?" The boy had a strong sense of stability, but the sight of blood and flesh flowing around him didn't contain much strength.

The surrounding crowd also began to whisper, although they even hated this boy who didn't care about other people's lives, when it came to killing, they were a little bit afraid. After all, it was the slaves who were imprisoned like them, not those cruel and tyrannical pirates.

So, seeing the boy looking frightened, some of 'virgin' persons stood up for him instead.

"Marine-dono, the child is young and immature..."

Longinus nodded in deep sympathy, "The child is still young enough to be killed!"

Everyone stared, unable to believe that such words were coming from the mouth of the Marine, the guardians of justice.

"No kidding." Longinus said with a serious face, "I only said that because he's a remaining member of the Black Corsair Pirates!"

"Wait, a remnant group? What do you mean?" A suddenly startled crowd quickly retreated and hid behind Longinus like a snake.

"He is a spy that the pirates have intentionally placed among you to sabotage your escape and to keep those pirates informed at all times."

Longinus said indifferently, "If you let him leave, your information will be leaked, and maybe some remnants of the Black Corsair Pirates will come after you again."

"It's despicable, shameless!"

"No wonder he did that, is he a pirate himself?"

"All those people who were hanged before when they failed to escape must have been leaked by him."

"Kill him. He must be killed!"

It was somewhat ironic that the people who had previously defended the little boy were more determined to kill the boy than anyone else when they knew that their safety would be at stake.

The boy was horrified and kept arguing, "I'm not, I'm not, I'm not one of those pirates, I'm just jealous because that bitch didn't share her power with me, you have to believe me!"

However, a "pirate" with a bad record and a marine, guardian of justice, the crowd does not need to think about it and know who to believe, is looking at the little boy with disgust and scorn, no one stood up for him.

"Get rid of the evil. I'm sure you can understand that." Longinus reloaded his magazines casually and pointed his black gun at the boy.

"Remove...remove evil..." the small face of Robin was so pale that she seemed to recall something and looked at Longinus like a demon.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I was wrong, don't kill me!" The little boy collapsed to the ground, not being able to retreat away from him.

Bang!

"Well, the evil 'pirates' are all purged so that you can leave in peace, I'll have the Marine register everyone, and a warship will take you home in a few days."

"Longinus-san, Hina-san, thank you!"

The rescued crowd walked out with a thousand thanks. They couldn't wait to enjoy the long-awaited sunshine.

"Whew! Is this what it's like to be a hero? It's fascinating!" Hina's little face said with joy, "Hina is so happy, the evil pirates are taken care of, and the good people can come home again, what a perfect ending to a fairy tale!"

"No, the real story is that most of them will probably never get back to their homes again!" Longinus said quietly.

"Huh?" With a gasp of surprise, Hina did not doubt what Longinus had said, but asked impatiently, "And why is that? Haven't all the pirates been taken care of already?"

"Because most of them probably don't even know the name of the island they're from." Longinus was well aware that in a time when transportation was extraordinarily backward, and even water trains had yet to be created, those ordinary people, once forced to leave their homes, might not be able to return for the rest of their lives.

"So...what will be their fate in the end?"

"A small percentage will be saved, while the vast majority will end up stranded on this island, no longer holding out hope as time passes, and eventually start new families here...and bury their wounds deep in their hearts."

"Huh? Why does that happen?"

"Because... when the gentle surface of the world is removed, it is just about the bloody reality of our nature."

Longinus strolled towards the stranded Robin, "Do you remember your home, little one?"

"No, please don't come over here!" Robin hysterically screamed as she pointed a small dagger at Longinus with both hands, which she had found from somewhere.

Hina also regained her senses from the sentiment, and saw this scene like a mother-in-law with her arms spread wide to protect Longinus behind her, forgetting all about the fact that Robin was the weakest one, and scolded angrily :

"What are you trying to do to Longinus-san, damned thief? If Longinus-san hadn't rescued you, you would have been torn apart by those angry pirates, and now you're trying to get revenge?"

"No, I don't know, I don't know anything," Robin muttered hesitantly, "But keep yourselves away from me, stay away from me!"

Hina noticed that there was something wrong with the little girl in front of her as if she was in great fear, but the pirates had all been destroyed, and she and Longinus were the only two people left here, could it be that she was afraid of Longinus?

Hina was a little amused at the thought that even someone as lovely as Longinus could be intimidating?

"Is it because you stole my money before and are afraid of being caught by Longinus?" Hina forgave generously, "Never mind. It's not much anyway, just think of it as my gift to you."

The fear in Robin's eyes faded slightly, finally breaking free from the nightmare, but the dagger in his grip remained, "Thank you, I know you're all good people, but... I can't trust any of you again!"

Robin used his fruit power to throw a compact and intricate purse in front of Hina, then fled in a panic.

"Ah! It's my wallet!" Hina picked her purse up and looked at Robin with concern and confusion, "Why did she run off by herself? Are we going to get her back?"

Longinus shook his head slightly, "No, she'll never stop running away unless I take off my coat of justice behind me."

Hina said with realization, "So, it's not you Longinus-san she's afraid of, but the marine uniform you're wearing?"

"But the Marine stands for justice, so why should she be afraid?"

"Who knows? Justice is such a thing when it's needed!" Longinus turned toward outside.

Like, he knew full well that the little boy had nothing to do with the pirate, but what did that matter?

Justice is originally a tool for those in power to decorate themselves; it is justice when it is needed, the rest of the time, it is just a couple of pale and weak fonts.
