Beautiful Swordswoman Gion (3/3)

(Considering that the first chapter of today's introduction is too heavy on the ingredients, some students may not like it very much, so author Fungus let me take the initiative to add one more chapter (● '◡' ●) ノ ❤)

Inside the simple yet cozy room, a cold and somewhat petulant call sounded, "Tsuru nee-chan, I'm back!"

There was the smell of fresh aromas wafting through the kitchen, and a gentle voice came out, "Gion, the food is already on the table, so if you're hungry, eat some yourself and wait for me to finish the last dish before I come out."

"No, I'll wait for Tsuru nee-chan to come out and eat with you." The young girl untied the sword at her waist and put it aside, sitting at the table, watching the exquisite and appealing meal leak out a trace of heat, and her small nose quietly twitched.

"Whew, Tsuru nee-chan's cooking still smells too good!" The young woman forcibly distracted herself by looking around the room, her agile eyes suddenly resting on a pamphlet on her desk.

"This is ..." the young girl curiously walked over and held the booklet in her hands. She wasn't worried that this was some vital secret, with Tsuru's composure, if this were something essential, she wouldn't just leave it on the table.

"Gion, how do you feel on your first day at training camp, but I heard that you'd caused quite a stir today." Seemingly worried that the young girl was bored by herself, the gentle voice once again came out from the kitchen, but with a bit of a teasing edge.

"Tsuru nee-chan~," the girl said in a lengthened, disgruntled voice, "It's those guys who are so boring! Having that kind of energy not to know how to improve your strength and catch pirates, doing nothing all day, it's annoying to watch!"

"You ah~."

"Longinus Quotations?" Hearing Tsuru's helpless tone, the girl let out her tongue and returned her gaze to the book in her hands, "I think I've heard this name ... somewhere ..."

"You don't have to push yourself too hard, time ..." said Tsuru, who was dressed in casual household clothes and came out with a stack of vegetables, but smiled when she noticed that the girl seemed to be very engrossed in flipping through the pamphlet she had brought back. "What do you think of the quotations on this?"

"Huh?" Gion, who had come back to her senses, shouted surprise and put down the booklet in her hands apologetically. She then commented quite pertinently, "Cruel towards the enemy, gentle towards the people, words seem to have the power to touch the heart, but the deeds are a bit too epic and difficult to give a sense of substitution. Tsuru nee-san, is this propaganda material for the new round of marine recruitment?"

"And Tsuru nee-chan is this Longinus modeled after any fictional hero in marine history. I always get a sense of déjà vu when I read it."

"You," Tsuru chuckled petulantly, "really don't care about the boot camp at all, didn't those little guys privately call you a monster? This Longinus is the new star who is considered a monster just like you."

"Ah! I remember, he's the lucky guy who saved a boatload of cadets and was awarded a medal." Gion exclaimed.

"Someone else can be more than just good luck, think of all the deeds in the books, and you'd think he was just lucky?"

"And what's going on up it is even true?" Gion couldn't believe it, and in her opinion, those events were a bit unreal to be treated as legends.

"Not only is it true, but it's a lot more simplified."

After hearing that, Gion correctly said, "Two years of capturing hundreds of pirate groups, tens of thousands of people were saved. As a result, I must say that he is a true marine, the next time we meet, I will sincerely apologize to him and ask for forgiveness."

"Apology?" Vice-Admiral Tsuru wondered.

"When I heard you mention the quotations just now, Tsuru nee-chan, I subconsciously thought that he was a good-for-nothing person, but now it seems that he must be spreading these things for the better to spread justice!" Gion spontaneously complements her brain.

"Since I misunderstood him, I naturally have to apologize to him in person."

Vice-Admiral Tsuru said in a cryptic tone, "You just had it in your mind that there's no need to make a special trip to apologize for such things."

Gion, however, looked serious and said, "Wrong is wrong, I can deceive others, but I cannot deceive myself, recognize my own heart, this is my belief as a martial ... swordsman!"

"Well, whatever!" Vice-Admiral Tsuru said helplessly.

"Heehee, thanks, Tsuru nee-chan." Gion's tight little face melted away as quickly as ice and snow, revealing a sunny smile.

...

Noon.

Gregory was lying on the bed, smelling like a defeated dog, "I say, we're not being put out to pasture, are we? It's been a week, and we haven't seen any of the promised instructors, and every day we're just told to train on our own when I can do this kind of thing in the branch!"

"I heard that there were over two hundred people who were repeated in the last year, so it's not because they were so bad that they caused us to suffer this special treatment as well, right?" Abraham followed suit with a depressing comment.

"You guys should probably stop thinking about it. You might as well go work out with brother Longinus if you have the time." Penn was breathing heavily. He, too, had just returned from the training ground.

Gregory snapped, "Or not, working out with the boss will only make me feel like crap."

After saying that, he quickly changed the subject, "However, the boss is also really calm. Those from this headquarters said that the higher-ups favored him because of his fame. Unlike the other two monsters, because of having superior strength."

"If you have the kind of strength that the boss has, you'll naturally be able to hold your nerve, and like the boss once said, time will tell, and there's still a long way to go, and sooner or later, those eyeless bastards will realize how wrong they were," Abraham said with a grunt.

"Hey! Speaking of which, do you know that those guys were badly embarrassed this morning?" Gregory said gloomily, referring to the situation.

"I've heard, it seems like that Mythical Type ability called Tokikake was madly pursuing the beautiful swordsman you guys were talking about last time. And the overwhelmed Gion-sama invited to battle and defeated him with absolute superiority, making the ranking those people went to great lengths to make a joke." Bone's horrifyingly large face showed a hint of longing, "What I admire most is Gion-sama's open and honest swordplay, I don't know when I'll grow up to be a swordsman like her!"

"Hey, hey, old brother Bone, you can't look down on us abilities like that just because you revere swordsmanship. I watched that fight too, and it entirely was because Tokikake was so dismissive that he was defeated without being able to use his abilities, making me not even know what his abilities are to this day." Gregory complained.

"You two don't have to argue!" It only was when he saw the two men's gazes that Abraham proudly said, "Whether it's sword or fruit abilities, in the end, they can't compare to pure physical arts, because the path the boss is taking is correct!"

Just as sparks collided in several eyes, Algernon suddenly came running in looking flustered, "Is the boss back?"

"The boss is still exercising himself, what? You're being bullied, and you want the boss to help you out?" Gregory teased mischievously.

"Go, go, go, don't get in the way of getting down to business, that monster-like Gion is coming to the door!"

"What? Is that the beautiful swordsman Gion?" Abraham looked glum, "She only defeated Tokikake this morning, and now she's coming to us, is she trying to step on the boss to establish her absolute authority in the camp?"

"Let's go, get the others to go out with us, even if the boss isn't here, we must never degrade our momentum, we must let that woman know that the boss is not a challenge for anyone!"
