The world was suddenly tormented by a high concentration of static waves which people then named 'Freakquency' for its ability to turn humans who could hear it into monsters or heroes. 

Jet Carlisle, a cynical young man, is one of the unfortunate few who could hear it. But something troublesome attached herself to him. Though there might be something more to the pesky girl than meets the eye. 

And Jet would find out whether he wanted to or not.

CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE

Alec was sitting on one of the plastic benches in the waiting room of the hospital where they were brought. Since there was nothing wrong with Alec, aside from suffering from the side effect for a short amount of time, he was merely given a Vitamin C pill to help with his nausea.

He visited the men's room for a short while to clean the blood off of his face due to his ears bleeding from the Freakquency. After washing his blood-covered face, he went straight to the vending machine and bought himself a can of apple juice to help his body recover. He had done all that and yet Jet was still inside one of the beds in the emergency room.
