CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE

Leto walked towards her lab in all of her anger. She was livid, more than she ever had been. Her subject had almost died! She had almost failed in her pursuit of knowledge. The worst thing was, she couldn't understand what went wrong.

She had no idea what to feel when she saw the young girl's heart line flattened. The first thing she felt when she heard the sound was relief. She was not going to be killed. She was safe.
