Jet Carlisle, a cynical young man, is one of the unfortunate few who could hear it. But something troublesome attached herself to him. Though there might be something more to the pesky girl than meets the eye. 

And Jet would find out whether he wanted to or not.

CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE

In an attempt to lighten the gloomy mood that Jet was releasing everywhere, Alec had suggested they all take a walk around town. He heard from the staff that the town would be hosting a bazaar, so he used that as an excuse to get them all out of the house.

He knew fresh air would do them all good.

Jet was so pent-up Alec feared he'll explode at the smallest of things.

Ronnie and Alice wholeheartedly agreed without a second thought. The younger Slade was jumping up and down with Ao somehow doing the same thing. Jet, on the other hand, was as reluctant as ever.
