The world was suddenly tormented by a high concentration of static waves which people then named 'Freakquency' for its ability to turn humans who could hear it into monsters or heroes. 

Jet Carlisle, a cynical young man, is one of the unfortunate few who could hear it. But something troublesome attached herself to him. Though there might be something more to the pesky girl than meets the eye. 

And Jet would find out whether he wanted to or not.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

-"Yatagarasu is a three-legged crow god in Japan,"- Alice explained. –"And I've been here before,"-

Jet's eyes darted at her in surprise. Has the girl's memory finally returned? "You remember something?"

She shook her head. –"No. But I get the feeling that I know this place,"-

He stared at her. Could the shrine have anything to do with their connection? Jet could remember everything about the place yet he couldn't remember being there before. It was like the place simply just appeared in his mind.

Like a television with a bad antenna, his thoughts were muddled and unclear.

The two of them stood in silence, awkwardly looking around for anything that could tell them why they could remember the place despite not knowing it. Just as he was about to give up, a new image crossed Jet's mind.
