Silence surrounded them as Alice Slade chose not to answer. She returned her attention back towards the sea. Her breathing in tune to the dance of the waves, calm. . . And tranquil. 

Leto glanced at her, studying her features. The young woman's platinum threads wisped behind her as if they were wings made of mist. Her pale complexion only added to the regal and timeless aura she was emanating. She was ever the ethereal form that Leto branded her to be. 

Though, she could not help but notice the slight difference. The divine figure sitting beside her was missing something. Her eyes that glinting no longer shone blue. And the fragile feeling Leto was getting from her had become twice as strong. 

"Are you dying, Alice?"
