Who Are Those Guys? Do You Know Them?

Monday came and it's the usual day. Is Monday always this tiring? I get more excited when Friday comes, because Friday means last day of school and more rest the next day.

"Hey! Have you heard the news?!" Adora loudly asked with her high pitched voice when she entered the room.

"What news?" I asked her.

"Foun--"

"Foundation Day," Neo lazily answered, cutting Adora's sentence.

Adora looked at him fiercely like she's about to indulge him whole. "Damn highlighter!" she shouted and spanked him hard. She then ran beside me and hid behind my back.

Sometimes, I can't understand them, their childish act and such. Lately, they've been bickering, I don't where it started but one day, they started to insult each other calling each other names.

The terror professor, whose face is always positively apoplectic with anger, came in with a smile on his face. It's not a very bright smile but this is the first time I saw him smile. And everyone on class fell quiet, weirded by his expression.

"Did he get a girlfriend or something?" asked by Neo while leaning down a little bit.

"I thought he's married?" I asked him back and he just shrugged.

"He's married with two handsome kids," Adora said and when I looked at her, she's staring at the ceiling with a dreamy eyes.

"Eww Adora. Really?" I asked her, acting to be disgusted.

"Duh! They're in high school okay?"

"And you're in college," Neo simply said without even looking at her while his arm is folded in his chest, directly looking at the professor in front.

Adora was about to fire back when the professor talked. "I have good news!" he started, trying hard to be cheerful for us to feel that it really is a good news.

"Wednesday will be the school's foundation day. And because of that, you will be free the whole week. No discussion or anything," he said and the class immediately cheered and some jumped for joy.

"But!" and that one word made us all stop and looked at him. He loves suspense.

"You will still present yourself at school during that time, understood? For those who joined a club, you must present yourself," he said and walked out.

The room is filled with cheer when the professor left. Some are even kneeling while their hands are clasped, like doing a prayer and looked up the ceiling. While the club members had this bitter expression. While us three, had just the normal expression. We already knew it anyway.

"So? What's the plan?" I asked them. We are now free for today.

"Let's just go grab something to eat and go to the library," Neo suggested and we agreed. We went to the cafeteria and grabbed something to eat. After eating we headed straight to the library. Not to read something but to sleep. This library is huge, it's impossible for the librarian to see us sleeping here, and we are at the back part of the room.

"I'm tired," Adora said and yawned. We all are tired so we fell asleep very fast.

"See ya, Maddie!" Adora said and waved goodbye.

We're already on our way home. Neo went home first as there's an emergency and Adora just left. I entered my car and started my engine. I left, when I was on my way home I passed by the lake park and saw the sunset. It's been a while since I've seen this beautiful sunset. I've been busy that whenever I see I can't even take a chance to appreciate it. But now that my mind's clear, I can see its true beauty. A comforting beauty.

I arrived at the apartment and parked my car. I saw a familiar car parked outside. I entered the building and went to the elevator. When I arrived at the unit, I was about to enter the door when I heard someone talking inside. I opened the door while my hands are shaking and almost shrieked when I found my parents in the living room.

They immediately stood up when they saw me and hugged me real tight. "Why are you here?" I asked them when they broke the hug. My mom then displayed a disappointed face.

"Are you not happy to see us?" she asked.

"No. I mean, I was surprised you visit," I assured her and hugged her.

"We missed you. And we brought groceries for you," she said and led us to the kitchen where there a bunch of bags and plastics of things to eat.

"Your cupboard is almost empty and it's a good thing we brought these here," my dad said. I almost tear up because I really miss them so much. I miss them doing things like these to me.

I hugged them again for the nth time. "I missed you," I said and I felt my dad rubbed my back.

"We missed you too," he answered. I'm just lucky to have them as my parents. They're the most caring, loving and understanding parents ever. Even though sometimes they don't understand me.

My mom cooked something for us while me and dad stayed in the living, watching an episode of The Good Doctor. He's really when he knew I've been watching The Good Doctor lately. If it's not because of that certain happening, I wouldn't watch it.

Later on Mom called us when the dinner is served. It's quite a feast when my Mom cooks. She's the best cook, I'm telling you. While we are eating, they started to ask about school and what's the normal answer when our parents asks that? "It's fine. I'm having fun." Because you don't want your parents to be sad or be disappointed in you.

"Hope we can see your friends soon," Dad said.

"Yeah, they're good friends," I told them.

"When we arrived here, two men were standing outside your unit. They have these large muscled and tattoos around their body. And when I asked them if they know you, they said they're your friends," my mom told me.

"What?" I asked and was quite alarmed. I don't know someone with tattoos. Well except for my neighbour Travis, but other than him there's none.

"But they left after that. Who are those guys? Do you know them?" Dad asked.

I didn't answer them. I just stared at my food. I don't want them to get alarmed if they're really looking for me. I don't have any friends other than Adora and Neo. Maybe they're just mistaken. Right. They're just mistaken. Maybe they're really looking for Travis since he's the kind to have those kind of friends. And we're just neighbours, yeah right. They're just mistaken.

"Maybe they're pertaining to my neighbour. They're just mistaken," I told them, assuring them. And assuring myself.
