He's A Nice Guy, Why Would I Reject Him?

The usual thing that you do in Foundation Day? Of course, sleep in the library. I arrived so early that it made me look like I'm so excited for this event when in fact, I am not. I don't really like this kind of stuff. I just went here early because Adora told me so and she told me to wait here in the library. Good thing they are open.

I don't know what's gotten in to her that se wanted to meet me here. And she's not yet here. I've been spamming her texts and calls since the last 30 minutes but to no avail. Same with Neo. Where are those people really?

"Hey, Maddie!" greeted by a deep and husky voice from behind me. And when I looked back, I saw a familiar face.

"Hi?" I greeted back. I hesitated because I don't really know him, he's just familiar to me. Maybe he's in the same class.

"I'm Peter. Adora told me to meet you here," he politely said, still standing in his spot. Holding the strap of his bag that's hanging on his shoulders. A bit long and wavy hair and a pair of piercings on his ears. A black leather jacket with black Metallica t-shirt inside paired with a black ripped jeans. And a black boots. Overall, he's obviously a hard metal fan. Or so I thought.

"Adora?"

"Yes. She told me you'd be waiting here. We're in the same class, by the way," he added and brushed his hair up. And Peter being Peter, he's handsome.

"Oh. I see, why did she sent you anyway?" I asked him, still looking up at him. Because I am sitting in this low chair.

He shrugged. "But I think she wants you to have fun?"

"Oh. Can you just give me a second?" I said and excused myself while dialing Adora's number.

"Hello there!" she cheerfully greeted and I think she already knows why I called.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Enjoying Foundation Day," she answered in a matter of fact.

"Adora. Where are you? Can't we just be together? Are you with Neo?"

"Yes, I'm with him! Just enjoy Foundation Day yourself. Bye! Enjoy bijj!" she said and ended the call. I just sighed in disbelief and I just feel really sorry for Peter. I really just don't like this kind of stuff.

Before I go back, I texted Neo and asked his location and he told me they're at the cafeteria.

"Hi. Maybe you're a busy person I'm sorry to bother you," I apologise when I got back. He's really waiting for me.

"No, it's fine."

"I have to see my friends at the cafeteria. I'm really sorry if Adora told you to meet me here," I said for the nth time.

"It's fine really. Can I, at least, drop you there?" he politely asked. Why is Adora playing with this guy. He's obviously nice, it's not just obvious because of his style. And the saying goes, "Don't judge a person by his appearance."

True to himself, he accompanied me on my way to the cafeteria. He's very nice and he also talked a lot to ease the awkward air between us. We are in the same class yet I don't know his name. And I barely see him. Or I just don't know who my classmates are.

"It's really nice meeting you, Peter," I told him when we are near. I can almost hear Adora's evil laugh. That Korean.

"Yeah, nice to meet you too, Maddie. Enjoy Foundation Day," he told me.

"Yeah you too. We're in the same class anyway, so," I said and smiled at him. I just can't directly reject the guy. He's so nice.

I waved my goodbye when I arrived at the cafeteria. I entered when he finally left and looked for them. And I saw Adora laughing so loud, people are looking at her. She has no shame.

"How the hell did you last being with her for the last minutes?" I immediately asked Neo when I arrived at their table. Adora stopped laughing and looked at me, confused.

"I don't even know," Neo answered and face palm.

"Where's Peter?" Adora asked. I glared at her and she immediately hid at the back of Neo's.

"Who's Peter?" I sarcastically asked her.

"You didn't meet him?"

"Who am I supposed to meet, Adora?" I asked her again.

"Why aren't you two together?" Neo asked.

"You're in this, too?"

"No! Adora told me he set up a guy to meet you there," he explained and I even glared at her.

She made a piece sign with her fingers and smiled at me. "I just want you to enjoy foundation day like a normal college girl."

"How to enjoy foundation day like a normal college girl?" I asked, mocking her. "I need not a guy to enjoy foundation day, Adora. I don't even like this kind of events," I said and Neo definitely agreed to my statement.

"Fine. Let's all enjoy foundation day. Let's go!" she said and slammed her hand at the table making the school assistant scold her. She just ignored it and sat down again.

"Have you eaten?" asked Neo.

"No. Adora told me to rush over so I didn't eat breakfast. Can I eat first?" I asked them and went to choose breakfast menu. When I left I heard them bickering again. The never ending saga.

After carefully choosing what to eat, since I'm a picker eater especially in breakfast. I went back and started digging up my food. They just watched me eat while they're still bickering. And the way the bicker gives me the idea that they like each other and are just denying it to their selves. That's where a cliché love story starts.

After eating, we went out and ramble around the campus to see and try every booths. The campus is filled with students and it's open for outsiders. They put up different kinds of booths to enjoy. We got tired so we took a rest and sat at the football field.

"The frat will be having a bonfire tonight at the beach. I'm inviting you two to come," Neo said. And with the mention of bonfire, Adora's eyes lit up.

"Oh my god! Let's go there, Maddie! It will be so fun!" she said and acted cute in front of me. I just can't believe her. She always acts cute whenever she has a favor to ask to me or go with her at the mall or party with her.

"Fine," and I can't decline. How can someone decline her offer when she's acting all cute in front of you? You just have to answer 'yes' immediately to end her disgusting behaviour.

But yeah, I admit. She's hella cute.
