Chapter 28

Aya closed the door behind her, she was furiously wiping at her tears, she looked back where the crowd was, she saw one of the guys looking curiously at her. She turned and ran out of the airport.

Jimin watched as the girl came out of the room wiping at her face, he looked at Namjoon and the others they were keeping the crowd busy. He slipped away, but when he looked again the girl was gone.

He opened the door. "Hobi?" There wasn't a sound he pushed the door further. "Hobi?" He saw Hoseok on his knees with a card and bracelet in his hands.

He closed the door, he placed his hand on Hoseok's shoulders. "I guess it didn't go well?" Hoseok shook his head. "Y... You were right Jimin, it was a dangerous game that I played. I... I don't know what to do."

Jimin moved in front of Hoseok, he crouched so that he was eye level with him. "Hobi, tell me what did she say exactly?"

"She was so hurt that I lied after she gave me all of her, she said she needs time to process this."

"Then there is still hope, Hobi."

Hoseok looked doubtfully at Jimin. "She will never speak to me again, that I can promise you."

Jimin shook his head. "I think you are wrong." Jimin gestured towards the bracelet. "Look at it more closely, Hobi."

Hoseok lifted the bracelet, he saw there were small charms on the handmade bracelet which was green and purple.

Jimin saw the recognition in his eyes. "That is your hope, Hobi. She made that bracelet with love and care."

Hoseok smiled. "Jimin... Thank you." Hoseok put the card in the inside pocket of his blazer, he then clasped on the bracelet. "I will wear this as a reminder."

Jimin gave him a grin. "That's my Hobi, come on or we will miss our flight."

Aya on her way to the Busan Animal Sanctuary sat on the back seat of the bus, she didn't want the people to stare at her tear-stained face.

She placed her head against the window, she wasn't really registering what's going on around her, her thoughts were a complete mess. Her heart was hurting, she kept reminding herself he was not Luke, but he lied. Why? He said he wanted to keep her safe, but from what? The tabloids?

She closed her eyes, only opening them when it was her stop. She climbed off and made her way to the sanctuary. She opened the door. "Good morning." She said half heartily.

Carl gave her one look. "Aya..." She looked at him. That voice tone. "Wait, you knew?!" She clutched her bag tighter.

"Tell me you didn't know, Carl."

"Aya, I... Knew."

"That explains a lot." Her voice not hiding the sarcasm. She walked past him, not giving him a second glance.

"Aya! Wait!" He called after her, but she ignored him till she got to the puppies, she fell on her knees in front of their cage. They were barking happily at her. She opened the cage, they ran to her, she picked up Chubby burying her face in his fur while she cried her heart out.

Carl watched her retreating back, he knew it would come to this.
