(Some changes have been made to the end of the previous chapter.)
The first thing that they decided to do was get something to deal with their eyes and Anza's hair.
There is an App that any Cultivator can download that has countless 'Convenience Spells' available for purchase, this includes things like ways to change eye color, clean your room, recharge a phone, basically anything you can think of as long as you have the funds.
However it takes a minute to learn and use these Spells and they needed something today, so they went to the Wal-Mart of Spiritual Treasures.
Cul-Mart.
Common Rank Treasures, whether they're pills, weapons, talismans, or whatever, don't require any external energy they only require a tiny bit of the craftsman's Qi, so over the years, people have come up with countless convenient and innovative items.
It didn't take long for them to find what they needed, they got a few hair ties and hair accessories that could change the color, (and remove its glow) and some special contacts.
These contacts did much more than just change eye colors though, with tiny arrays on them that allowed zooming in, night vision, a camera, and more, Hazed couldn't help himself and bought them.
It wouldn't be long until he wouldn't need those things from cultivating, but for now, they were perfect.
The pair that he bought Azna were even more expensive and exaggerated.
They were Alchemist specialty ones that were connected to a database that would allow the wearer to do everything Hazed's did, identify herbs with a glance, and much more like seeing the purity of an herb or concoction.
This type of treasure, even though it was only Common Rank, could last her for a very long time.
It's a perfect example of mixing in technology so that a Common Rank treasure could be more convenient or beneficial than a higher rank one.
See even though the contacts relied only on arrays for their effects, the database was purely technology-based, but the database was probably the most helpful part.
Bolt felt left out since he didn't need contacts, but Hazed promised to get him a good spiritual weapon when he got the chance which made him ecstatic.
"Alright guys, let's head to the Hub, I'll post while you two go check out the missions."
***
The Hub was the place to go if you wanted to post any missions, recruit anyone, find any work, or anything of that sort.
Now that Hazed registered the Sect he's going to need people to fill out the ranks.
Thanks to the appeal of having a Sect Cultivation Method, attracting people is not difficult, it's just finding loyal and talented people quickly is difficult, even if you attract the masses.
Everyone knows that even the Servant Ranks will get strong Cultivation Techniques in a Sect, plus there is always hope of being promoted from Servant to Outer Disciple or even better!
However, their Sect is in a unique position, the amount of people they can recruit is severely limited right now because of Hazed's personal strength.
So he made strict requirements and could only hope to hook a big fish.
While he was there he also posted a mission for exploring some of the untouched ruins he knows about.
This mission was where he planned on getting his brother an inheritance, and he was also using it to recruit some talent at the same time.
The mission he posted on it had a rather common clause; if the value of what they found was too high, or if the helpers uncover an inheritance, that they join the Sect to make sure that their interest keeps aligned.
After all, a Cultivation Method can 'absorb' another like how his Celestial Tiger Method absorbed the Anza's Clan Method when they joined the Sect.
So if the Loose Cultivator finds a Cultivation Method he's expected to join the sect and let them absorb it, and then in return, the Sect creates a new 'Division' or 'Branch' with said Loose Cultivator as the Head, making it a win-win.
'Hopefully a few people sign up…' Hazed thought after finishing up.
Anza ran over with a smile holding out two fingers like a 'V'ictory sign so he asked, "Find anything good?"
She nodded, "Two Alchemist Missions! Bolt found a mission too, he wants to know if he can sign up for it, it's a two-day exploration mission that starts tomorrow."
Hazed thought about it for a while and then nodded.
"That's fine, that way we can use that time to get a place built near my house. I still plan on going to college for a least a while, do you want to come with me?"
Anza hesitated for a moment before shaking her head.
"I'll focus on alchemy, I need to use every second I can for practice if I want to be helpful to the Sect."
A kind smile appeared on Hazed's face, he appreciated Anza's personality and attitude.
"We'll be relying on you heavily in the future."
"Let's go find an architect, we should have enough to build a decent alchemy building but we'll be pretty much broke afterward." As he finished speaking he couldn't stop his smile from becoming bitter as he thought about their funds.
"Look at how much money we'll make just from doing these two Alchemist Missions! Paying off the building will take no time at all!" She showed him the missions again hoping to comfort him.
Hazed nodded firmly, "Gotta spend money to make money!"
After briefly speaking with Bolt, Hazed and Anza got into the elevator.
"Which one?" Anza asked, looking at the overwhelming amount of clickable buttons that equated to floors.
Hazed looked at the buttons in disbelief before he thought of something and spoke.
"Hey Wonder Willow, can you take us to the workshop floor?"
Immediately after a young girl who was obviously the Wonder Willow's Spirit appeared surprising both Hazed and Anza.
Anza couldn't help but ask, "Why are you so surprised, you called her!"
"I didn't even know the Wonder Willow had a spirit, it was a shot in the dark…"
He coughed and turned to the spirit.
"Hello! What's your name?" He asked in a gentle tone.
The girl didn't answer but instead flew directly into his arms and gave him a good sniff.
Hazed: ☉_☉
Anza: ☉_☉
Little Girl: (✿◠‿◠)
Little Girl and Hazed: (✿◠‿◠)☉_☉
And then, as if proving that it could be done, the little girl said something that made things even more awkward! "Mommy!"
Hazed was shocked, 'Me? Mommy?'
Why would she call him Mommy? Was it because he smelled like Ava?
No, there was no Chromatic Cloud, but then it couldn't be… Could it?
"Did you just wake up?" Hazed asked the girl who'd never taken the initiative to leave his arms.
She had red hair that was only a shade lighter than his, it looked like the red of autumn leaves, which fit her perfectly.
Her skin was a beautiful white-jade pale, that glowing white that he thought only existed in movies.
Her body was like that of a three or four-year-old, however, mentally she was older, how much older so far he couldn't tell but it seemed to be at least a few years if not more.
He knew that Spirits aged differently than humans and most other animals. It was a complicated algorithm that involved the natural strength of the Spirits Soul, the amount of Spiritual Essence it had; this is what usually dictated how strong a Spirit was too, and of course time as well.
"Mm! I woke up because I smelled Mommy!"
"!!"
The only thing on his body that could wake up a Spirit and give it such a feeling would be the mark that the Earth left behind on him. However, since there wasn't enough of 'The Heavens' power around to create a Chromatic Cloud, there was no obvious sign of her birth!
The Earth did say it would bring good luck, but isn't this look too good?
Wait, it's not like I can take the Wonder Willow, so, does this even count as my good luck?
After bursting his own bubble he asked the cute girl in his arms, "Can you take up the very top of you, where the pretty girl is sitting on the clouds?"
The little girl's eyes lit up, "Mm! Of course Mommy!"
Hazed sighed and asked in a voice filled with emotions, "Can you at least call me Daddy?"
The little girl looked confused but after thinking for a moment she nodded and then said seriously, "Mm! I don't know why you want me to call you Daddy, Mommy, but ok Daddy!"
Hazed rubbed her head, his heart filling with joy, or maybe it was relief.
Either way, he was happy to take whatever win he could.
"Well, as your parent I should name you, and as a Wonder Weeping Willow it would be a crime to give you a name that didn't start with W, so, how about Wendy?"
Wendy liked the name so much her excitement transcended words and she literally began to glow.
'Uh, Luna? Is this supposed to happen?' Hazed couldn't help but ask internally.
Hazed had seen a few spirits in his last life, three to be exact, but he wasn't close to any of them and he'd never heard about one glowing when it became excited, or when it was named.
~Oh wow, that's the Spirit Initiated Contract! It looks like you giving her a name was all the recognition she required.~
Wendy began to glow brighter and brighter and Hazed began to feel hot all over but it wasn't his skin that felt like it was burning, nor was it his insides, but it was his soul that felt aflame.
While it was hot, the heat was bearable for the most part.
That is until it spiked, magnifying itself by many times and branding his soul.
"Jesus fuck that hurt!" Hazed yelled out in agony.
"Did my soul just get branded?!"
~Wow, that's a high class Spirit and Contract you got there…~
"Mommy I" She caught herself so she quickly changed it, "Daddy I did it!!"
You could her the excitement in her voice, she was 'Super Duper Proud of herself' and very tired.
"Now we'll never have to be apart!"
Hazed sighed, 'How am I going to work this out with Ava now?!'
He shook his head and cleared his thoughts, no matter what he had to go face it.
Seeing her exhaustion he couldn't reprimand her, definitely not, so putting a smile he said,
"Good job sweety, can you take us up to Ava now? The one on the clouds…"
Wendy nodded excitedly, her energy instantly returning the moment that she had something that to do that could get her praised.
Wooosh!
The elevator took off like a rocket, going at least five times faster than previously.
