Noah got up from Ava's bed and faced her.

"I guess I should get going now," he said.

She sat up and looked at him as he turned around and walked out the door. Ava let out a loud sigh and laid down, drifting off to sleep. The next morning came and Ava was not looking forward to going to school. She remembered what happened yesterday and smirked at the thought of Aaliyah's face when she looked at her. She went downstairs to be met by no-one. As she walked by the fridge and saw a note stuck on it.

'Lucas went to stay over with your Dad for the week and I have a busy schedule, so I won't be home much. Take care of yourself. xoxoxo Mom'

Ava rolled her eyes as he scrunched up the paper and threw it in the bin. The doorbell suddenly rang. She assumed it was Noah, so she grabbed her things and opened the door.

"Hey, Ava. Are you ready to go?" he asked.

Ava nodded as she walked towards him closing the door behind them. They started walking towards school as they made jokes.

"Ava?"

"Yea," she answered.

"Are you going to tell me how you got Aaliyah gave you the book? Because knowing her, she would never give you something that easily."

"I have my ways," she said a smirk on her face.

"C'mon you can tell me."

"Nope," she teased.

"Ugh fine. What do you want to do when we get the book?"

"We can go to my place if you want," she suggested.

"Sure, why not."

"Great."

They walked into school and went to their classes. Ava noticed that Aaliyah kept avoiding her but kept her stare on her. At break Ava walked towards Aaliyah who was talking to Claire and Abby. She tapped Aaliyah's shoulder to get her attention.

"What do you...want?" she said her voice trailing off.

She pushed Claire and Abby away so they wouldn't hear their conversation.

"Do you have it?" Ava questioned.

Aaliyah nodded her head quickly. But before she handed the book to her she pulled it back.

"First tell me how you did that thing with your eyes."

"I don't know. Just give me the book."

Ava glared at her as she saw her gulp. Aaliyah gave her the book and walked away. Ava smiled to herself proud of her achievement. At the end of the day, Noah met up with Ava outside her class. They walked together to her house. They went to Ava's room as she situated the book on her desk. They sat next to each other as they stared at the book.

The book had several hundred black pages. Ava was so drawn to it; she couldn't keep her eyes off it. A faint scented musty smell touched her nostrils. Ava gently caressed the book, gently feeling every small detail carved on the cover. The leather had a surprisingly smooth feel for a hard object. She opened the book, the pages fell open in her hands, a hint of foxing towards the edges of the pages. Ava couldn't believe it. This book held all the information she needed. Everything would finally be revealed to her. She flicked through the pages which contained information about different amulets and jewellery, until she found a picture of the same amulet that was engraved on her chest.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She didn't know what to expect. Was this going to be a life-changing thing for her? Thoughts running through her head, expecting the worst.

"It's going to be okay. I'll be right here," Noah reassured her.

She answered with a small smile. She looked at the book as she began to read.

The amulet Ava held was the most powerful amulet ever known. It contained a power that allowed someone to do things never known to humans before. A person who had this amulet would be able to control things with their minds, they have the power to fly and when their eyes turned black it would be trapped ghosts inside their eyes. Someone who has these powers must have seen a possessed person.

Noah turned towards Ava.

"Have you ever encountered one of this possessed people?" he asked.

"OMG yes. It was at night and I heard Annie and then there was something chasing me. I locked myself in the room and when there wasn't any more noise I went to look out and all I saw was this horrible creature and I stared deeply into their mouth because it was wide open. I supposed it might be the possessed person."

Noah nodded strangely.

"What?" Ava questioned.

"You heard Annie?"

"Yes. I'm sure about it. She called my name."

"Okay," he said but Ava knew he didn't believe her.

The most powerful power that no-one has ever mastered was control of someone's body. The only way to access that absolute power was to be in control of the other powers.

"What do you think about it?" Noah asked.

"It's not that bad. But doesn't that mean that there are still some members of the TS because of all these young people disappearing?"

Noah nodded in agreement.

"I want to master the last power."

"What!?"

"I want to learn it. That might be our only way. If I can have the absolute power, then I can defeat the members and I can get back Annie."

"I know you want Annie back but isn't this too dangerous?"

"I'm willing to do anything for Annie. She's my best friend and I', sure she would do the same for me."

Noah nodded smiling at her.

"We can practice every week at the park when my Mom goes to work," Ava stated.

"What about Lucas?"

"He's with Mat. It seems like he rather spend his time there."

He looked at Ava with his eyebrow arched.

"I know I should give him a chance, but I don't need him in my life."

"If you say so. But you never know."

"But one question still remains," Noah said, "who are the members? Because they obviously know this town so well to be knowing what exact time to take all these people. Like they must have waited until Annie was alone to get to her because you guys live close to each other. So, this means they are watching us."

"You're right. I guess that's another mystery."

Ava turned towards the book and looked at the other amulets that were described in the book. It seemed that they were all one of a kind.
