Fries

It has been days since Isobel's and Jayden's first mission. Isobel has finally come to grips with the fact that they need to understand and accept the fact that they couldn't have done anything. That they needed to grow a pair and suck it up. John was going to die. It isn't fair but that's life for you.

She was waiting for Cara and Ambre in front of her locker, they all had maths the first thing in the morning and decided to go together. She was bored. Jayden had said that he would be here in two weeks. It was Friday today so that meant he would be here next Friday.

She was honestly ecstatic that her best friend would be here. In the same city as her. She had friends before. She wasn't alone, but with Jay, she just clicked.

They weren't a pair you would think would fit right together but they did. Excellently.

Ambre leaned next to her. She was a brown-eyed brunette. French. One of her closest friends. She was the only one other than herself who controlled Cara when she went berserk over something.

"I've heard a rumour," she said.

Well, hello to you too, Ambre.

She raised an eyebrow and motioned for her to say it. Ambre grinned. "We are getting a new student in our senior year in the middle of the term today. Sources say he's eye candy."

Isobel's eyebrows furrowed. Jayden was coming over next week so it wasn't him. She hadn't heard of any other student. But then again, Ambre was the one who brought gossip into their group. She knew better than to question her. Amber's sources were usually right. No, they were always right. Ambre had one of the most important roles in their group.

She was the 'TEA' provider.

She knew everyone and everybody, knew everything about everybody. She was the Gretchen Weiner, except that they weren't mean girls and they surely didn't wear pink on Wednesdays.

Cara might drop dead if she was put in pink.

"Today you say?" Isobel asked. And received a nod. "What else do we have on him?" she asked. Isobel was curious. They didn't get a lot of transfer students to Maple park in the middle of the term. Especially not in their senior year and not two in such a short period,

"I can paint you a very vivid picture if you want me to," she said, smirking. She took a hold of Isobel's shoulders and twirled her around to face the exit.

Walking in through the gates was a tall guy, pale skin, blonde hair.

"That's him." Ambre said, "his name is-"

"JAY!" Isobel yelled.

Jayden looked at Isobel and grinned. Isobel ran from her spot and launched herself on Jayden. Lucky for her, Jayden was expecting it and caught her in time. He stumbled a bit because of the force but straightened himself with ease.

"Hello, Izzy," Jayden said, giving a cheeky grin to the girl in her arms. Isobel narrowed her eyes and took a book from the student next to her.

Whack!

She started hitting him with it. "You bitch!" she said hitting him. "You." Whack. "Said." Whack. "You'll be." Whack. "Here." Whack. "Next week." Whack.

She slid down him and stood in front of him. Hitting him for the last time she returned the boy whose book she was using as a weapon and gave him an innocent smile. The dark-skinned boy's eyes widened. He muttered a small 'excuse me' and ran from there.

"I think I'll have a concussion." Jay murmured.

"I think you'll have a funeral if you don't explain." she snapped.

Jayden shot her a sheepish smile and scratched his neck. "I was gonna be here next week ya know but two days ago the company sent over packers and movers and plane tickets. It was difficult to do it in such a short time but they managed. I landed here like yesterday evening. I should have told you but I wanted to give you a surprise." he explained.

Isobel's face softened and she didn't look like she was going to hit. "It's okay," she said and shot him a smile as Jayden relaxed he got whacked again. "Next time you'll know better than to keep things from me," she said. And Jayden nodded.

Damn, women are scary when they want to be.

"Where is th-" Jayden started.

"Down the halfway line, take the second left, on your right will be a big ass door reading 'office'. Do not try to look interested in what the woman on the front desk is talking about or she'll never let you go" Isobel guided him. He nodded and shot her a grateful smile which she returned.

They were sitting in the school cafeteria. Isobel was glaring at Jay who 'subtly' kept stealing her fries while Ambre was telling everyone something she heard about someone. She wasn't sure because she wasn't listening. She had more pressing matters to tend to.

Like protecting her fries.

Jayden was shooting her innocent smile and puppy eyes. She wasn't having it. This was food, he had his own fries and he wasn't getting hers as well.

She saw his fingers move an inch towards them.

Smack!

It was hit-Jayden-day today. The best day there is.

'You bitch!' he yelled in his head.

She smirked at him. Damn right. She was the 'baddest' bitch there has ever been.

Seeing her smug over the insult, Jayden rolled his eyes. While dealing with Isobel you don't deal with her like any other human, he forgot about that.

The whole table was giving them concerned glances. They seemed to be able to communicate with just a look. Cara was confused the most. Cara and she had been friends for more than 14 years, as far as she knew Jayden had never been with them, nor had she ever heard about the boy. Just how did they know each other was beyond her. She shrugged and started looking for Bonifacius. The tea on this boy was hot today. She couldn't fathom anyone doing something so stupid but somehow he always managed to. Ambre continued her report.

"You know what I think," Jayden started and everyone turned towards the boy who was too busy to speak because he was stealing Isobel's fries. Stupid, nobody stole her fries.

"I think I'll make a very good Elsa."

The whole cafeteria came to a hush. Everyone was looking at the boy who spoke.

A voice from a few tables away spoke.
