King Tut

Isobel and Jayden gave each other a nod and went through the doors. The moment they walked through it a small boy came stumbling - running towards them and hugged Jayden's leg tightly making him almost topple over. Jayden righted himself and picked up the small boy.

"Hello, little guy!" he said.

The boy hugged him tightly.

"Tey!" he called Isobel and she opened her arms for him to come to her if so he wished. The boy quickly scrambled towards her. She kissed his forehead and took a good look at the boy. The boy was probably five or six years old.

[That is Toutankhaton you are holding, host.]

Isobel almost jumped in surprise that she was holding the famous pharaoh, the boy king, Toutankhaton in her arms. But that would mean the boy was eight years old. Looking at the boy she says that he didn't quite look eight years old. The boy was soft and short. He was thin and frail and had those innocent doe eyes that made her melt in a puddle.

That was the moment chosen by the Great Royal Wife to enter.

Nefertiti.

The woman was elegant and graceful. She was stunningly gorgeous with her dark skin, her plump lips and her black eyes decorated with kohl around her. She was wearing a beautiful blue shawl and headwear and a lot of heavy jewellery. Not a single piece of gold could be found on her, she was adorned with beautiful gleaming silver from top to bottom.

Silver was more expensive here and was only worn by the royalties. There was no silver found and everything came from Asia. The transportation was not in one of its best stages during this time and to just afford a little bit of silver was a huge deal.

With the amount of silver the woman was wearing there was no doubt, she was making a power statement. After the death of her husband and having no one to sit on the throne she was the ruler. The time wasn't the one that was high on feminism. She had to make a power statement just to keep a reign on people who undoubtedly were going to try to get their hands on the throne.

Even without it all, the woman radiated power…

… and callousness.

She regarded every one with a cold gaze in the room except Ay. When she saw him her eyes had a hint of fear and longing but as soon as it came it vanished. Isobel hoped that Jayden didn't see it because he would have a panic attack again. The longing though she didn't understand. She just let these thoughts slide out of her mind.

Once the eyes settled at her, Isobel felt cold sweat forming. The gaze said 'back off' but she didn't understand what she was to back off from. She had practically raised her when Nefertiti's mother died after birth. She was a sweet child but with the teenage, she had turned cold and started giving her hated glances.

The look she gave to Toutankhaton was nothing compared to hers though. That was pure loathing. Toutankhaton, seeing the look, winced and backed into Isobel's arms. He tried to make himself as small as possible as if it would make him invisible. Isobel gave a sad smile to the boy. She didn't understand the hate anyone could harbour for a kid but she let it be. It was not as if she could call her out.

"Get his navel pierced. (1) He is to take the seat tomorrow at noon. Guide him for a while as he doesn't understand what it means to be the king. I give him to you for guidance. Make the boy a king and take any methods necessary to bring him in line shall he stray. You know where I'll be at night." she said and rounded back the way from where she came from.

Jayden was still a little green and scared from what she said. It wasn't a question about Nefertiti and him, it was the other part.

'Take any methods necessary to bring him in line, shall he stray.'

The pressure put on the words was the thing that scared him. Jayden was aware of what Ay was capable of. Asking him of 'any methods', it was clear what she meant.

Abuse the boy to make him your obedient puppy.

Not just physically, sexually and emotionally as well.

Ay was fond of Toutankhaton as well but he was a disgusting person. He wasn't actually the good uncle he played for. If this was the real Ay, Jayden didn't even dare to comprehend what would have happened.

Would Ay have used the chance to have a little boy wittering under him and screaming for help while he stripped him of his innocence? Would he use him like the other people he has used before?

… or would it have been a chance for him to actually get his mind straight.

Jayden knew the answer but he didn't want to say it out loud. The longer he stayed in his body the longer he wanted to tear this man apart.

A rapist, a whore, a pedophilic cruel and a bigot man. Why out of all the people it had to be this body?

The Nefertiti making her way towards her room was more concerned about Ay. The man didn't reply to her invitation nor did he show any glee at having the possibility of Toutankhaton in his bed.

Was it Tey? It couldn't be. She was younger and prettier and Tey couldn't compete with her. Her wet nurse couldn't win the affection of her father. What was it that Tey could do to keep him satisfied that she couldn't? Ay has always told Nefertiti that she was so much better at warming his bed than Tey, then why would he just have her?

Thinking that maybe he needed some rest from the long journey she decided to let it slide.

On the other hand, Toutankhaton was scared. Although he was unaware of his stepmother selling him off quite blatantly he had other things that terrified him. "Don't let them pierced my navel Ay, Tey. Father had a pierced stomach. Father killed Maia. He tied me up and killed her in front of me. She screamed at me to not help her but I couldn't help her! I don't want to kill any other Maia! Please don't pierce my belly." he all but screamed in a frightened voice. His eyes were gleaming with tears of terror.

Both Isobel and Jayden froze and another flashback came.

(1)Navel piercing was a custom at that time. Pharaoh's got belly piercings. Any other person who dared to do so got executed.
