Chapter 55
Onika (Nicki) POV
Lord if ain't one thing its another, I couldn't even sleep last night and I have to get up and work today at three
I got out of my comfortable ass bed and did a quick stretch to relieve the tension in my muscles before putting on my pink bedroom slippers and walk downstairs seeing Alfred was at the table drinking tea
"Oh Miss. Nicki what a surprise I thought everyone was sleep." Alfred said and I giggle shaking my head
"Sadly I can't sleep I just have so much on my mind." I said honestly letting out a sigh
"Well sit down and talk to me Miss. Nicki." Alfred said taking out my chair so I could sit down
"Thank you." I said gratefully as he walks over to the oven and opens and a delicious scent hits my nostrils
"Cookies!!!" I squeal and Alfred laughs sitting the tray on the stove top and grabs a cup from the pantry cleaning it and drying it out before pouring cold milk into it and handing it to me
"These are special chocolate chip cookies my grandfather use to make these for me as a child growing up." Alfred says as he gets to plate giving me most of the cookies and I smile as he sits the plate down in front of me and takes the milk back out
"Now what is the matter Miss. Nicki?" He asks and I sigh
"I don't know everything just happened so fast Alfred I was dating this boy for four years and comes to find out he wasn't being faithful the way I was to him and here comes Katorah and Belcalis making me feel things I never felt and I'm scared." I said honestly and he nods
"Miss. Nicki don't open another door before closing the other." Alfred says and I nod understanding
"I don't want to reconcile with him." I said and Alfred laughs
"Closing the other doesn't always mean reconciliation closing that other door means healing Miss. Nicki before jumping into another relationship Mrs and Mrs. Marerro have taken quite the liking to you and are very happy to have you here, but the ball is in your court Mrs. Nicki take your time and go with the flow." Alfred said and I quietly process everything he just said as I eat the delicious gooey chocolate chip cookies
"But I don't want them to be upset." I said glumly
"Love is very conflicting, but they'll be upset if you're not being honest with them talk to them Miss. Nicki tell them everything you're feeling trust them that they'll be there for you in time of need and healing." Alfred says a d I nod eating the cookies drinking them down with the milk
"Thank you Alfred thank you so much." I said as I finished the last cookie I hug him and he hugs back
"Goodnight Miss. Nicki." Alfred says and I smile
"Goodnight." I said going back upstairs with a lighter mind and heart I slip off my robe and slippers and get back under the covers as I dove back into sleep land
