Dinner preparation

Mark's POV

I woke up at 7 AM, quite early for my Christmas break morning wake up though but i have to get up because Jean wouldn't probably want to go and see her Mom but it's now or never. We wouldn't know when will their parents will show up again, and we couldn't afford another accident from their parents just for them to come over again. I read the note inscribed at Clay's fridge last night. They have to go and settle thing out. I got up in bed. I showered and got dressed. I texted Lynn that we'll be ready in 10 Minutes. It's Lynn's plan actually to get through this, i agreed with it because it just makes sense. Besides, we don't want another awkward days between us. I crawled down my bed and had some breakfast. I then go out to get inside Jean's house. I just simply opened the door, his Dad knew me very well. I then got inside Jean's room. Gosh she looks horrible today, but she's just asleep. She looked so tired and exhausted from last night. "Jeeeeaaaan!" I shouted at her, shaking her to wake her up. She groaned. "Come on! You have to get ready for the dinner later tonight." I said. She groaned again. She then scratched her dump head. "I will not go to the dinner, you go..." she said sleepily. With some convincing and plenty more of shaking she then got up. We heard Lynn's honk and after a minute she got inside Jean's room too. "I thought you guys were ready?" Lynn asked when she seated in Jean's bed. "Yeah, this sloth really has a reputation for her species" i replied. After like 15 minutes of waiting and watching Jean involuntarily getting herself ready, we got out of her house. We drove through the other side of the village where Clay's house is.

We entered the house using the key from yesterday. We first checked Clay's Mom and cleaned her before waking Clay up. He will really use her mother as an escape so we'd better do it now. After tending with her Mom, we got up to Clay's room. As we opened the door, Clay's sleeping body welcomed us with a very open mouthful of pollution. He too looked so tired and exhausted. We woke him up, and unlike jean, he got up immediately. "You're early" he murmured while yawning and stretching. He got up and told us to wait outside the room because he'll do shits that we are not supposed to see. After several minutes of shower and bouncing inside his room he finally got out. He looked fresh now.

"What are you gonna wear for later's dinner?" I asked Clay and Jean after we ate lunch together. "We don't really have to go, besides we have nothing to talk about" Clay conversed while stuffing his mouth with his chicken fillet, we just ordered our lunch though, we don't feel like cooking until our dinner battle. "Yeah, and i tell now nothing good will it do" Jean added. "It's better to have a talk with them, now if you think they do not worth a thing to you, then at least you did reached out" Lynn replied. Our lunch was spent with arguments about going or not going to the dinner tomorrow until Clay said, "Fine, but i won't come with out Jean, it's only fair" then Jean replied to Clay, "Okay fine, but this will be the last time, i don't want to see two general demons joining forces to ruin families" She said with irritated voice. After eating our Lunch, Clay checked on his Mom.

Afternoon passed without anything remarkable happening. Lynn decided to drive Jean back home to help her prepare for the dinner. I decided to stay with Clay. "Should i dress nice? It's just my dump Dad though" Clay said one time when he got out of the shower. His torso still attracting me as hell. I shifted my gaze, i don't like Clay to feel awkward. "Yeah, if for someone it's for you, look presentable" i replied. He then ended up with a blue long sleeved polo with black plaid pants, just the typical get up of a man going to dinner i think.

Lynn's POV

"No, i was thinking like plain dress, you know to look presentable but not so overrated" I said to jean when we were at her room finding dresses to wear for the dinner with her Mother and Clay's Dad. We dug through Jean's closet. "Here, how about this" I said as i picked a plain blue above the knee kind of dress . She picked it and fitted it. "This is hers though" Jean said. "Dad gave it to me, he said that this is what she wore on their first date" she added. She suddenly dropped her face. She looked so sad. For all this time she always show how she hated her Mom, and this is the first time she looked like a daughter missing her Mom. Really missing her. She then turned back to her casual face and went inside the bathroom to dress up. She looks so dazzling with her blue dress complementing her oceans eyes. Eyes she clearly got from her mother. Her resemblance with her mother is so strong that they actually looked like sisters. Her eyes as blue as her Mother's and her blonde hair. After like 30 minutes of grooming, she's finally ready to meet her Mother again. She now looks so pristine and built. I just hope she won't breakdown in front of her mother. We drove back to Clay's house it was already dark, they should get going soon.

We got back to Clay's house after like 5 minutes of driving. We knocked at the door and my eyes couldn't believe what i saw. Clay, in a formal dress. Woah. He really looks hot with that blue long sleeved polo of him, only if i was attracted to men though, i find Jean more attractive than him to be honest but i just wither the thought out. "What?" Clay asked. He looked at me then at jean, we must be stunned, both of us by Clay's outfit. "N-nothing" Jean said, than i saw a streak of red in her cheeks. Must be the blush she put on. They then got out of the house, i gave the car keys. Clay smiled, Mark then followed us outside, we, Mark and I, waved our hands at them as they drive to the dinner place. We then, Mark and I, got inside Clay's house. I let him borrow my car because it's like 500m away from here and it would impudent of me if i would not let them use my car. Besides, we have to wait for them not just because Jean would be walking miles away from home if we left him here but also because we wanted to support them. First Clay now it's with jean too. Gosh things got really fucked up. Who would've thought that Clay's father would end up living with Jean's Mom. Wait. Does it mean...that they're...siblings? They are technically right? Oh hell no, they are. So Jean's feelings for Clay would be somehow be invalidated then? Not if Jean won't accept it though. I bet she won't.

We got inside Clay's room tinkering about his room. He really has some Painter soul inside him. He even had a painting...of us. Jean, Mark, Me and Him, four of us, in the tree house. Gosh how i miss that tree house. It's been almost a month that we haven't been able to go there, not that we can't, but we won't not if it means leaving Clay with his situation which is now with Jean's too. "Things are really messed with Clay and Jean huh?" Mark initiated one time when we got out of Clay's room. "Yeah..." I replied. "They're technically brothers and sisters now right?" Mark inquired. "Yeah i've been thinking about that too" i replied. We sat at the couch just in front of Clay's Mom's room. "You think that means jean will not look at clay like a...significant one?" I inquired with quite awkwardness. I know. We talked about this, but some things just never change though. "You're really into her huh?" Mark replied. I blushed quite a bit the nodded, he just smiled cooly. "I knew that the agreement we had would not last long, but please..." Mark said. I looked him in the eyes, those emerald green eyes that looks so dominant like a serpent ready to attack. Kind of frightening actually. "...Promise me that your feelings will not break us apart, we're all we've got right now" He added, holding my hands with deep sincerity in his voice. "Y-yeah of course, i'm not that dumb you know" i joked. I sure wish that i'm not that dumb. Being friend with jean is a very good consolation and i don't want to ruin that at the very most. We then opened the television and watch movies. "Let's watch Harry Potter then" Mark intended. I got no choice since i don't have anything to watch though. Just two minutes of watching his favorite movie, each and every moment he says things that the Movie miss on the book that could've made the Movie more fun. I got entertained to be honest. Mark, with his commentary, is a good movie buddy.

After an hour of watching while listening to his rants about the Movie's incompleteness, we heard a car parked at the front of the house. They're back? Already? We're not even done with a first Movie though. We then paused the Movie and got up to pick the door. And there they were, Clay with a bruise on his cheekbone area and looked like he battled a wolf. Jean looked so red, not blushing with infatuation, but with rage and anger. They both breathed heavily and Clay's hands are closed tightly. We let them in and Jean exclaimed, "Fuck those Demons! They have a very swell nerve to do that to us!?" She said with a deep and strong disappointment. What happened though?

"You mind to sit first? Calm down" Mark said to Clay with caution, he might be thinking that Clay would hit him unintentionally. Clay and Jean then sat down, i got them both a glass of water and let them breathe for a moment before we started asking what happened. Mark gave Clay an ice pack to help the bruise, that's what id does right? Well i think it does it. "They speak evil! Those two bastards really have the audacity to call us 'the disappointments' forgetting what they did to us" Jean said. She sounded so angry but less angrier than a while ago. "You wanna go into the details?" I asked. "I'm glad mom didn't chase that piece of shit bag when he'd gone out of our family" Clay expressed. "Seconded" Jean replied. My brows are wrinkled with confusion, and so is Mark's. They had a bad dinner tonight.
