[Carla's Pov]
"So, are you going to start talking or just glare at me all day?" I asked Chris calmly as I sipped my coffee.
Chris came to my office this morning since Director Adams asked him to, but since he got here, he didn't talk and just kept looking at me angrily.
'He reminds me of a child'
I smiled at the thought and his brows rose.
"Why are you smiling?" He asked with a confused expression.
"So you aren't mute? Good to know" I said without answering his question.
"Didn't you hear me talk yesterday at the director's office? Turns out you aren't so observant and yet you call yourself a detective" He said mockingly as he smirked.
I dropped my cup on the table and faced him with a calm gaze.
"One, I did hear you yesterday but anyone can become mute in the span of 24 hours. Two, a lot of people call me a detective, do you want to agrue with all of them?" I asked with a playful smile on my face.
"Let's just get on with the plan" He said, changing the subjects.
"It's good you finally want to co-operate. Now, according to my deduction, it will be good if we start with the agents that can come in contact with the duplicating machine" I said with a serious tone as Chris also had a serious expression.
"That means we have to go back to the agency to interrogate the agents" Chris said as he rubbed his chin with his fingers.
"Precisely the top 10 agents. They are the only ones allowed near the duplicating machine" I said, smiling as Chris nodded his head.
"So, shall we get going?" I asked as I stood up.
"If we were going back to the agency, it would have been better if I didn't come at all" He mumbled under his breath and I ignored him as I opened the door, gesturing for him to leave first.
After he passed, I also went out of my office and locked my door as we began our journey to the organisation.

"What do you know about the crimes that has been happening all over town?" I asked Agent Wendy, smiling as I looked over her previous answers.
We are in the interrogating room and Agent Wendy, the top 5 agent, was sitting on the chair opposite me. We were separated by a long table inbetween the chairs we sat on.
Chris and I had started interrogating the agents from the bottom to the top of the list. We had our turns interrogating the agents and wrote down all the answers they gave us even though we asked them the same questions every time.
"Well, it is worrying but nothing the agency can't handle" She said confidently having a relaxed posture.
With her relaxed posture, it seems she doesn't have anything to do with the crimes.
"Hmm... Ok. So, what do you know about the duplicating machine?" I asked casually as I wrote down her answer.
"Well, like I told Agent Chris, I don't really go there since I have a lot to do and don't have time to just be looking at a gadget. I mostly go there if I need to duplicate something for my mission" She said and I knew she was telling the truth, her body language and eyes proved it.
'It seems she is telling the geniue truth'
After some more questions, she left and Chris came in so that we can review her answers.
Even though she seemed to be telling the truth, I still have to be extra careful.
"She's clear" I said as Chris nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, she doesn't seem to be an inside spy" He said before he left to bring the next agent for questioning.
After questioning all the agents, I suspected two people of being inside spies, Agent Misa and Agent Romano, but I wasn't entirely sure about that.
"Well, I guess we will continue reviewing the clues tomorrow then, I am leaving now" Chris told me as he got up from the chair.
"Sure, you can go" I said dismissively as I continued going through the clues.
He glanced at me before heading for the door. He paused when he got to the door and turned to face me.
"You know, you aren't that bad even if you are a gir... I mean, lady. I am sorry for being so rude before" He apologised and I lifted my head from the documents and looked at him.
"Ok" I simply said as I turned my attention back to the clues.
He waited for a while and I looked at him, raising a brow. He seemed to snap out of whatever spell he was under, opened the door and left.
"What a strange guy" I mumbled before getting up to make sure he had left.
After confirming that he was gone, I packed up all the clues and documents, and headed straight to the director's office.
"Carla, you are here? What do you want to tell or ask me?" Adams asked with a knowing gaze.
"You know me so well, director Adams. I came to ask about Agent Chris, is he really trustworthy?" I asked with a little smile as I sat down.
You remember I said the top 10 agents were the only ones who could get close to the duplicating machine, well... Chris is the top agent which means he is also a suspect. Even if he is my partner, that doesn't mean I would blindly trust him.
"Chris? Well, according to what I have seen, he seems like a trustworthy guy. Even though I don't really feel comfortable with him, he is a good guy who had never betrayed us. He is one of the agents who won't ever change from what he believes is right" Adams said as I nodded my head.
"Thanks for the information" I said smiling before I left.
I entered my apartment, which was near my office, and dropped the documents on the table as I sat down on the sofa.
I smiled as Adam's words came to mind.
'Does what he thinks is right, huh?'
