Prologue

I looked around the area, it was warm now but I could tell based of how the wind was swirling that the autumn was coming and it would not be like that much longer. I shook my head, what did I care? I'm a kittypet, I just like going on from time to time.

I thought back on the days when I was younger, I knew what went wrong. The clans, they were all living a lie, lying to each other and not believing in the star cats. I shook my head sadly, I always thought about it when I was sad and lonely.

The best I could do to keep my mind off of it was to just eat. I walked through the cat door of my place and then went and got some dry food. I thought back on the days when I actually cought food and did not just have a twoleg throw some at me.

The food back then tasted so nice, I did indeed love my owners, they were very old but they were always very sweet to me and the had brought me in a long time ago. I shook my head thinking about those times.

Windclan... That's what they used to call where I used to live. After Windclan had started a war with Skyclan and Thunderclan it all went downhill. Skyclan were not on sides in that war and it ended in a bloody mess.

My father died, so did the leader of Skyclan, after that both clans fell apart. I shook my head thinking about it, Thunderclan was in a terrible condition they did not abide by the warrior cat code.

The last clans left were Riverclan and Thunderclan... Shadowclan had been long gone at that point, their leader just gave up being a leader and went to become a kittypet just like me. With no leader Shadowclan fell into pieces.

Skyclan I had no idea what happened to them after their leader died. I tried my best to be the new leader of Windclan, I went to Skyclans camp to make a peaceful agreement and put our clans as one but when I went there, there was no one left.

I thought back to when it had first started going downhill, it had already been for a while that no cat believed in the starclan cats. But what really set it off was my very first gathering when Thunderclan's leader attacked Shadowclan's leader and took 1 of his lifes.

Thats when the whole gathering plunged into chaos, the gathering were supposed to be a safe friendly cat gathering grounds. This day is what started off the burst that was eventually going to happen anyways.

After I became leader more and more cats in Windclan started leaving, at least the ones that had survived the war. I thought sadly back on those times, I did not want to eat any more of this dry food. I loved my owners but the food was so nasty.

I wondered what had happened to my owners, it wasn't like them to be gone for so long, I hadn't seen them in days, there was no food left I had torn into the cat bag and had to go outside for water. I was worried about them but I was sure that they were safe wherever that might be at.

As I went outside I sat down on the back porch and looked over the fence of my yard. Maybe some day I would get to see my mother again... Not my father, not my brother... Just my mother.

I closed my eyes on that note, I was tired. I hated thinking about my mother but I couldn't help but think about her every day. How my father had sent my brother out to kill her. I had seen it all and ended up killing my brother and lying to my father.

I was surprised that he believed it but then again he was not the smartest cat out there. I felt disgusted by what I had done on that sick day. Even though my brother was tricked into becoming evil by my father, he still used to have a good side on him.

After he killed my mother though, that good side I had seen from him disappeared, I shook my head, I needed to open my eyes, maybe go and do something to get my mind from off of that topic. I stretched myself up and then began to walk back inside of my place.

However, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye and I turned to look over at it. I saw 4 cats all walking around, normally it would still seem a bit strange, but I could just take it off like they were rogues.

They looked a bit scared and confused like they had not been around the lake before, I could tell they were not kittypets, I could see a little bit in 2 of them but the other 2 I could tell were wild cats.

I shook my head, it was probably nothing... On that note I walked back into my place.
