Chapter 6

After the fight with the hunter Jack healed himself back up and began to continue walking away to find the nearest town. The walk became a bit hard as he trudged through the underbrush and eventually saw in the distance a small town.

As he enters the small town, he gets a few interested eyes towards him as he looked to be armed with his laser pistol at his side and his shovel at his left side. He was cautious of his surroundings as he walked through the town searching for the general store for some food and supplies. He soon found the general store and entered inside.

"Hello, welcome to General's General store. How may I help you today?"

Jack wondered about the silly general store name that looks like it was thought up on the spot (which it was) and began perusing the wares while talking with the cashier that he was just trying to get some food and a map to a place. He decided to see if he could sell some of his robot parts to the cashier. He took out a purple omnic arm and put it on the table and asked if he could sell this here.

"Wow, this is a nice robot arm, but we cannot take these parts, you would have to go to Junkerton to sell these parts and everything else related to robots. Thankfully we have a map and a pass for the train that goes straight to Junkerton for only a measly $500" the cashier said with a cheeky grin.

"That is a bloody scam and you know it, why would I buy a pass to Junkerton to waste my time doing that"

"But sir the pass is very important and the roving bands of bandits make it very hard for normal travelers to make it to Junkerton"

"Alright fine I will buy the pass and the map to Junkerton."

Jack begrudgingly took out the $500 and gave it to the cashier who then passed him the pass and the map of Junkerton. He also bought some food and water supplies to keep safe in his inventory. Jack then left the store to walk over to the train station when he noticed some people in an alleyway punching something. He walked over and saw some gang members beating up an Omnic civilian robot that was covering its head to protect it self. Jack watched them attack the robot and intruded upon them.

He stopped the gang members and the gang saw the red soldier with the shovel and toy looking pistol at his side and jeered at him for daring to interfere. The gang members began to pick up some crude weapons to start beating Jack up.

Jack saw them coming towards him and just calmly unholstered his Capper pistol and aimed it at them.

"You were in a big fat hurry to die, son."

He opened fine with the Capper and the fired plasma bolts of energy pierce through the gang members body as three of the members began to disintegrate into dust as the last remaining member was horrified to see his colleagues so swiftly killed and wet his pants. He scrambled backwards as he tried to escape down the alleyway only for a rocket to hit him in the back with a loud boom as his entrails went flying. Jack saw in the corner of his eye a rapid increase of EXP as he killed those gang members and turned to look at the omnic civilian before him. He holstered his pistol and began to continue walking towards the train station as he needed to get to the train before it left.
