I shouldn't have done that promise. I almost got run over.

After making that promise, I racked my brains for information of Liu Fen's marriage. The man himself never really shared anything to us, but I read it on a book somewhere. Liu Fen's wife, Princess Consort Wu, was the second princess of Changsha Kingdom. They got married at the age of sixteen due to political reasons but somehow, the two fell in love with each other.

According to what I read, the marriage of two, aside from political gains, was also a promise between Lie Fen's mother, Concubine Ren, and Princess Li's mother, Queen Feng. The two mothers were best friends in their younger years and made a promise to wed their children at sixteen.

'How did they even know the two babies will be married in the future?' I wondered. 'Did one of them have the power to see the future?'
