The Start of A Misunderstanding

We arrived in the manor sometime after noon where Princess Li was introduced to everyone else.

"This is mine. Thank you." she said and bowed as she received the red-jade hairpin from Hauria. "About running away… I-"

"It's fine if you don't want to say princess." Hauria replied with a reassuring smile. "I understand that you're young and have reservations about marriage. But let me remind you that getting married to Prince Kang is your duty to your kingdom. At least these days that is."

"I wish I was never born a princess." I heard her mutter.

"Don't worry Princess Li, Liu Fen, the one you're going to marry, is a nice guy." Hauria said.

"I'd love to meet him first though."

"Uhm, maybe next time. He's sort of indisposed at the moment." I said sheepishly.

Princess Li suddenly turned to me and bowed again. "I am very sorry for being rude to you a while ago, your highness."
