The siblings were keen on the story their sister was narrating. After the incident with jenny and her gun, the television had been switched off, with Carlos saying that he didn't want the tv to pay for fate's errors.

His statement may have been harmless, but the impact was felt once the music was unplugged and the tv powered off. There was some tension brewing in the house, and amelia dint wants it to develop. So quickly getting back to her story, she made sure to capture the attention of her siblings.

She needed them to focus on her instead of the weird tension. Nick understood that she was also getting scared of her own past. So he decides to play terrible music from his phone. Well, the result of that was pretty obvious.
