Chapter Eight A Meeting

Sam spread out his eyes after two hours. The first person he saw was Lucas. "You need to save her" Sam said. "Where did they take her?" Lucas said. "They talked about something called house-0987" Sam said. "I know that code" Lucas said "Jake we need to hurry," he said moving out of the room. "Sarah" I said "Look after him" going after Lucas. We rented a car that was parked around and rode off onto the dirt road. "What is the code?" I asked. "It's a warning before killing," he stated "we need to find her" looking out of the window. "And how exactly do you suggest finding them?" I asked. "There," he said "Follow the river," he said. I sighed and did as he said. "What makes you think that they will be river side?' I asked. "They usually kill near rivers or ponds and dump the bodies into them" he replied.

There was a stream coming from the river and we followed the stream. He was absolutely right. At that place where men on side of the stream and the area looked abandoned. I crammed our car into one of their men. Lucas got out and asked "Where is my daughter?" walking towards the men furiously. "Lucas, Your daughter was dead years ago and you… Even you were dead two months ago right" the man said laughing at him. Lucas paid a hard blow on his face. "You are going to pay the price, Lucas" the man said spitting out line. Lucas immediately caught his collar and asked "I'm asking you one final time. Where… is… my… daughter?" and the man said "Vito took her. He knows something about your daughter that you've been hiding" signaling his men to assault. I fed them with a deception to save Lucas.

"Where did he take her?" Lucas shouted in his face. "In the temple" the man gave an answer "But you don't know it" he went along. "Of course, I know where it is" Lucas said leaving his collar. "We need to get back to Juneau" he said looking at me. "No, the temple is not in Juneau" the man stated. "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "Only his daughter knows the road," he said. "Lucas" I asked "Does she spoke about it?" and he said "NO! All she ever said was the world will end, but nothing close to the temple" banging the car. "Perhaps, Sarah knows something," I said "We need to get back to her" getting into the car. We rode back to the doc and Sam was out of his bed. "Where is Sarah?" I asked. "She was right here," he said. She comes back after a few minutes. Lucas asked "Are there any other temples?" and Sarah replied "There is one in Juneau" with a quite serious look. "They took Jessica to a temple somewhere else," I stated.

"I know a man who knows about the domain and the temples" Sarah said. "Tell me it's not the elder" I stated. "No," she shouted "Of course it's not the elder" walking out of the way. "Come," I sounded out "we'd better hurry" walking after her. "We don't throw any time left for this Jake," Lucas said. "And we don't sustain a choice, do we" I said. Sarah said he holds out in Mexico. "Can you call him to come over here?" Sam asked. "I don't believe he's gonna lift my call, but I will try," she said taking her phone out. Luckily, a phone call and he picked up. Sarah called for him to come, but he said he is going to meet us at another location. "So where are we going?" Lucas asked. "Route 277" Sarah said. We were on the road once again. It was dark and the man we were to meet was waiting at the location. We went there to meet him. "Don't tell me that you lost the sphere" the man said as soon as we got closer. "Wait, how did you…" I read and interrupted saying "Because he used it" with a quiet angry look. "Where is the temple?" Lucas asked impatiently. "You won't get there," he stated. "You are not the one to adjudicate it," Lucas argued. "Hey!" he shouted "Arguing with me, won't help you" walking to his car. "The sphere shows the means," he continued. "Then we are doomed" Sam said.

The man then drove off. "No! Not yet," I said, "What do you suggest?" Lucas asked. "Change the reality" I stated. "Talk" Sarah said. "What if I change the reality and send us to the temple, 12 hours before they arrive" I said. "That sound's like a plan" Sam said and Sarah agreed. "Not to disagree" Lucas started "But what if we can't go there" trying to point out something. "Get to the point" Sarah said. "Vito has the sphere, what if he knows?" Lucas said. "Let's just hope for the best" I said. I concentrated on the temple which I didn't know and kept my hopes high for it to happen. I opened my eyes finding myself on a mountain region. "We need to hurry" Sarah said. I was exhausted and got up with great difficulty. "Jake" I heard somebody calling me. I turned back around. It was Jessica. "How…?" I was asking myself. There was no time to think about it. We were following Vito's men. "What the hell has happened here?" I asked.
