Chapter-20: Recruitment Week pt-6

"The first challenge can be ignored since it was purely based on testing the other individual's skills, now the second challenge is driven by the intent of vengeance, thus it is no longer viable to conduct such challenges."

"Humph!..."

The Kendo Club member let out a snort as he backed away with a haughty disposition.

If it was any other instance, then he definitely wouldn't have backed away when confronting the Enforcer, unfortunately, he could see Mari had already arrived near the enforcer and was staring at him.

As if waiting for him to make a move.

'I can't act with her standing next to him! I really wanted to beat the shit out of this Enforcer dude!'

'He thinks he is all high and mighty! Hiding behind a woman, what a weakling!'

The Kendo Club Member was didn't like Erik at all. He wished he could show everyone that Erik was nothing but a pathetic weakling.

Why? you may ask....

He was too god damn popular!.....

Everyone literally treated him like a prince, he was friends with all the famous first-year individuals!...

Not to mention, he seemed to be extremely capable and had a high position within the school hierarchy!.....

What the Kendo Club Member didn't know was that Mari had actually saved him from being absolutely thrashed by Erik. If she wasn't there to deter the sword-wielder, if he had actually challenged Erik's authority and if Erik had actually responded to his challenge.

Things could have ended up extremely bad for the sword-wielder.

Sure! Erik was on a vacation and wouldn't use his powers but he also was a prideful individual, if the situation had escalated to that level, he wouldn't have minded taking care of the trash.

"You are got a big mouth and you are even disobeying commands from the council! You sure have guts!..."

Mari didn't spare the Kendo Club student and immediately verbally assaulted him with facts. She was about to end this man's whole career but stopped after Erik asked her to let it be and not to waste energy on irrelevant things.

"Let it be Mari, no need to expend energy. He understands what is asked of him, don't you....?"

Erik narrowed his eyes towards the Kendo Club Member who was engaging in a verbal battle with him just a minute ago.

"Humph! Let's take brother to the infirmary....."

Rather than replying to the question, the sword-wielder just turned back towards his fallen brother and helped the others carry him to the infirmary.

"And you both, the Kenjutsu Club is expected to demonstrate after 2hrs, while it is not a possibility if you both are just roaming around but if you both interfere with the performances of other clubs then it will be regarded as an offence."

"The challenge was enough since both the parties were ready and agreed but I don't want any other instances like this to happen."

"Do you both understand?"

Erik turned towards the two Kenjutsu Club Members and spoke with an indifferent face as he warned them against messing other clubs demonstrations.

"Indeed Erik-san, we understand."

The second Kenjustu Club Member spoke for both of them as they made their way towards the exit.

They had already achieved their goal, it was absolutely certain that more students will join their club especially after they had defeated the Kendo Club Member in a fight.

Now that, they had achieved what they wanted to, it was better to retreat and prepare for their own club's demonstration, there was no need to get on Erik's bad side.

Unlike the Kendo Club Member, they were much more knowledgeable about the Representative of the Public Morals Council.

He belonged to a very powerful business family who was comparable to the Ten-Masters Clan in influence and wealth.

He himself was an extremely gifted individual with the highest marks in practical test ever achieved by anyone.

His influence within the school, among students of first-year, was very high, not only was he respected by even the elites of course-1A but everyone knew about his friendship with Mari, Mayumi, Juumonji and Suzune.

Which one of these individuals was someone you could provoke?

Two of them were direct descendants of Ten-Masters Clans, with Katsuto being the future Juumonji clan head and Mayumi being the princess of Saegusa Clan.

Whereas, Mari and Suzune were highly accomplished individuals in their own right, one of them was a rather famous Enforcer while the other was the class rep of course-1A.

Erik himself was the Representative of Public Morals Committee, disrespecting him was the same as disrespecting the Public Morals Committee. Everyone knew just how much power did the committee possessed, not to mention he also was a part of the Student Council.

If these qualifications weren't enough to deter you then congratulations!

You are either a certified retard!

Or you have a gigantic pair of balls!

"You should are said something Erik! These idiots need to learn to listen!..."

Mari was rather dissatisfied with Erik's lack of response towards the insults thrown his way. While she was happy that he didn't care about what others said, he was a bit too stable.

"Now now, Mari calm down! I am sure Erik would have his reasons for not engaging in pointless banter....."

Mayumi obviously told Mari to calm down while also teasing her about her lack of control over her temper.

She herself was also angry by the words used by the Kendo Club Member but since Erik didn't reply to the insult thrown at him, she also didn't intervene.

In her view, Erik was very capable of handling himself and there was no need to go intrude in between.

"Yes, calm down Mari-san....."

"You want to know the reason why I didn't reply to his insults?"

"Why?"

"Cause he is irrelevant to me, what he says can't hurt me or benefit me neither can it directly or indirectly affect me....."

"The biggest insult you can give to a person is to ignore their existence itself, after all, you don't keep an eye open for something of atomic particle level within the air."

"...."

"All I am saying is, he isn't worth a single unit of energy for me to waste on by engaging with him..."
