Three Gates (2)

The darkness that robbed him of his senses didn't last long, only a few seconds before he found himself back at the kitchen.

George was confused by what just happened but he regained his rational thought when he remembered his mother collapsing on the floor.

He turned around only to get another shock that froze him.

George saw the body of his mother still lying unconscious on the floor but what shocked him was that there was a perfect copy of his mother floating right above her body.

That copy of his mother was looking confusing at her body lying on the ground.

George noticed then something strange about himself, his view was higher than usual, he looked slowly down.

His eyes widened when he saw his own body lying beneath him.

He realized then that the copy floating above his mother was in fact his mother, he looked at her and she looked back at him.

Both of them opened their mouths at the same time to say something but it was too late.

An invisible force grabbed him, pulling him upwards.

George panicked as he saw himself ignoring the ceiling and walls of the building like a ghost.

He arrived in the sky after only a few seconds where he saw many other people flying upwards like him.

George noticed his mother and little brother flying upwards near him, both of them screaming madly but he didn't hear any sound.

He was soon high enough to look down on London...'What the hell is going on!'

His mind shook when he saw the amount of people flying up to the sky.

'My god, that should be hundreds of thousand maybe even millions of people!'

His focus soon changed as he found himself reaching the atmosphere, he could now look down on Earth!

The invisible force pulling him became stronger and he was pulled faster into space.

George saw Earth quickly becoming smaller and smaller...

There were countless bright lights flying with him towards an unknown part of the universe...

He lost his sense of space and time as he traveled with an incredible speed through the dark space.

George was in awe when he flew through different star systems, he saw blue suns, strange planets. Gigantic planets and even humongous clouds made of lightning...

He was overwhelmed by what was happening, 'I can't do nothing, what the hell is going on...'

George kept flying through the universe, surrounded by countless lights.

He squinted his eyes after sensing his speed decreasing.

'What is that?' He saw something strange in the distance growing bigger, something that was out of place in the seemingly endless space...

Three gates became slowly visible and he had the feeling that the pulling force originated from them...He couldn't explain why he felt that way but he was sure that those three gigantic gates were the reason for what was happening to him and all the others...

George came finally stopped as the pulling force vanished...He saw the other lights around him stop too.

The three gates seemed to be even bigger than planet earth...

His gaze fell on the left gate floating in space...

The left gate was surrounded by the elements, fire, earth, wind, lightning, darkness and light...

Information he previously didn't know entered his mind and he understood the meaning behind the left gate.

'The Gate of Elements...' That was the name of that gate, it appeared mysteriously in his mind.

'Chose the Gate of Elements to fuse with a Spirit...' That sentence also appeared in his mind the moment he stared at the Gate of Elements.

George found himself looking at a version of himself who was wearing strange robes like wizards do in movies...His other self lifted his hand, raining down fire and lightning at the army in front of him, eradicating them in one swoop.

'What an apocalyptical attack...' Thought George flabbergasted.

That mysterious scene was only brief but it left a deep impression behind.

'This...is incredible!' George was intrigued, his brain began to work as his many thoughts flooded his mind...

He shifted his gaze at the gate in the middle that was surrounded by a myriad of different weapons that came in all sizes and colors...

'Chose the Gate of Gears to form a bond with a Gear...' That sentence appeared in his mind and he found himself staring again at another version of himself. This time he was wearing a set of red shining armor and his weapon was a pair of vicious looking gauntlets. The ground beneath the armored boots of his other self exploded as he vanished.

George saw his other self rushing at the army with a speed that should be impossible for any living being to reach...

The army was again eradicated as his other self who sent tyrannical shockwaves with every attack he did. The last attack of his older self shook George to the core. His older self jumped into the sky, bursting with red energy before falling down into the army like a meteor. The grade of destruction that came afterwards reminded him of an atomic bomb...

George was speechless after the scene vanished, 'Such power...'

He shifted his eyes towards the last gate at the right.

That gate was surrounded by countless monster-like creatures who looked incredibly strong...

'Chose the Gate of Beasts to catch Beasts...'

George frowned, that sentence was a bit...underwhelming...

He found himself staring at another version of his older self that was wearing clothes made of fur, it reminded him of the old vikings...

The army of countless knights charged towards his older self who kept smiling at them.

'It's a bit different this time...' Noticed George who was waiting for his other self to make his move.

But his other self didn't do anything beside smiling mockingly at the approaching army while crossing his arms.

George kept looking between the army and his other self.

Then his other self said something that George couldn't hear as no sound came out but the sky darkened.

The whole area was suddenly covered in darkness and the madly forward rushing army stopped abruptly, all of the knights lifting their heads towards the sky.

George even saw some knight dropping their weapons in horror and the horses throwing their riders down as they turned around to flee in terror.

He looked behind him, freezing on the spot as he gazed at the colossal beast that was so massive that its body towered above the clouds.

George couldn't even see its head...

The next moment a world ending roar erupted from the sky, causing a massive earthquake.

It was so loud and deep that it made George close his eyes and block his ears with his hands out of reflex.

He found himself back floating in the space with the three gates in front of him...
