On one side of the room, Ian laid in bed. On the other, Gian-Luca sat on his own, accompanied by Vidia who sat by his side. In the center of the room, sat Midas, Venus, and Veronica. The entire group had fully regathered for the first time since the initial revelation nearly two months ago. Since then, they'd been conspiring. They'd also continued developing their abilities, all of which were now extremely well-affiliated with each individual.
"So?" Veronica spoke up. "We're set, aren't we?"
"Yep, that's basically all there is to it. The escape preparations are now in place." Midas sighed heavily. "The only problem is that the entire plan is in assumption that we can use our abilities anywhere in the facility. Those ability immobilizers are still inhibiting us."
"So how do we escape if we can't use our abilities?" Ian grunted.
Midas smiled in return. "We will be able to, soon."
Ian responded, "But didn't you say the main control for the ability immobilizers is found in the Garden? And they've got rows of Cherubim guarding the one entrance. How are any of us gonna get in there to disable them, if we've got no abilities available to force our way in?"
"It won't be us disabling the immobilizers," Midas turned his head.
"Then who?" Ian questioned.
"You'll see, eventually."
"That's not too reassuring," Gian-Luca said doubtfully.
"This won't sound any more reassuring either," Midas chuckled; "But the idea to disable the ability immobilizers is completely hypothetical."
"WHAT?" Everyone in the room alarmingly said.
"You're telling me this plan's all just a hopeful scenario?" Vidia raised her voice.
"A guaranteed hopeful scenario," Midas smiled.
Vidia rolled her eyes.
"Midas?" Veronica furrowed her eyebrows. "I thought you properly planned all this out? What is this?"
"Calm down," Midas giggled. "You're all doubting me before I can even explain. I've done a lot of digging over these past two months. Don't underestimate me when I say 'a lot'. I've reviewed content straight from the terminals that the Overseers and reporters work on. A lot has been revealed to my eyes."
"Really? How did you get on those terminals? Aren't they password and security locked?" Gian-Luca asked.
"They are, but I know my way around things like that. See, the biggest mistake A.X.A. made was being selectional when wiping my memories. What they didn't wipe, was my knowledge," Midas pointed to his head. "From the research I've done, I can guarantee you that this hypothetical plan will work. Believe in me."
The others looked at him with uncertainty, except for one; Venus. Venus was the only one who seemed to have faith in his words, as it was him who had witnessed all of Midas' doings over the past two months.
"It'll work," he said. "I've seen him work his charm. He's an imbecile but a smart one."
Midas acknowledged the compliment.
Venus' words encouraged everyone else's beliefs, and the uncertainty was washed away.
"So, when's this going down?" Gian-Luca asked.
Midas clasped his hands together. "You'll know when it comes. The sign will be made loud and clear. Remain observant, because an old foe's gonna be making their return. He'll be the one to soon initiate our escape."
