The sounds of steel grinding steel and sparks flying about, echoed across the lowering expanse that was the Garden. Its ammonium scent slowly being amplified by the evaporation of iron, resulting from the heating magnitude that shaped the fabricating structure sought by the numerous white-suited figures who laid their hands upon it.
"The Essentializer," a man dressed in white called it. Though his white figure consisted of a long lab coat, with a distinct pair of glasses worn on his face. "It's finally here…"
"The Essentializer?" Another man asked. He gripped his pen and clipboard tightly.
"Yes Matthew, that's what I'll be calling it. Its purpose; to transfer the soul essence from one vessel to another. And to think that its creation is nearly complete, after five months since my initial hypothesis," the man grinned; "His return is nearly here."
"His return…" The other man repeated. "And how close is that?"
"Soon, very soon. Once the Essentializer's construction is complete, we can proceed with the soul transfer. According to Jophiel, the new vessel has been under development for almost two months now, with a proper affinity to his own ability. Chamuel read the vessel's soul and concluded that it has developed a sufficient maturity to withstand the intervention of another, but is also inadequate in strength, meaning the newly transferred soul can easily override the other without struggle."
The other man who listened scribbled these points down across his clipboarded paper. "And who is this vessel?"
"Abel Vaso; an irregularity I spotted in Jenzaya District."
"You oversaw the retrieval?"
"Yes. The boy had committed murder, and I retrieved him immediately with other Angels." The man readjusted his glasses. "It was quite nice getting a breath of fresh air, smelling something other than ammonia for once."
"Well your crazy experiment's responsible for our current position. If it wasn't so crazy to bring even the other subject's attention to us, we wouldn't have had to stay in hiding here in the Garden for five months," Matthew exhaled.
"Overseer Raphael," an engineering Angel called over. "We need your input on this."
"I'll be right there," he replied. He turned to Matthew. "You'll get that breath of fresh air soon. The Essentializer is almost complete, and once it is…" He leaned in;
"Reed Regardius shall be reincarnated."
