Epilogue: Day of Judgement

"Oh my…"

"What is it?" Overseer Michael came to Overseer Chamuel's attention. The two were seated in an aircraft, currently airborne in the skies of Xavier District.

"I've detected an unfortunate circumstance…"

"With your All-Knowing Vision?" Michael's attention was stolen. "What is it?"

"Midas, he's dead."

There was a moment of silence. Michael could barely garner any newfound emotion. "What a waste. You'd even just upgraded his ability, hadn't you? What a waste of resources. We don't even have any Trinity Gems left to use."

"How unexpected…" Chamuel felt slight sorrow. He'd put a lot of effort into ensuring Midas' success as an Overseer. To see its failure before his third eye was a definite strike towards his pride.

"Our Overseer suits should make any person invincible. If the owner of the suit dies to another that doesn't bear a suit, then they never deserved to wear it in the first place." Michael grunted.

Chamuel gave him a look. He scoffed in return. "You're an exception, Mr. All-Knowing Chamuel."

He sighed. "It's too bad. He had a lot of potential."

"It doesn't matter now." Michael grabbed the handles to steer the ship in the right direction. "We can bring about the revolution with just the four of us, as originally planned."

Chamuel nodded. He flicked-on the mic in his ear-piece and spoke-in. "Uriel, Azrael, are you two in position?"

"Roger," Azrael replied. "I've initiated the plate-formation along Ellipses Point."

"Good. Any confrontations?"

"Negative. Security was scarce. I dealt with them quickly."

Chamuel nodded in approval. "Good. Uriel? Do you copy?"

A slight buzz could be heard, but there was no response.

"Uriel, your microphone is on, I can hear it."

"O-Oh! Yeah, I'm in position."

"What's the matter?"

"Uh… I think I just saw someone rappelling past the window on my floor. Seems they came from a higher floor."

"Probably just another Cardinal Nexus employee trying to make an escape. It shouldn't matter. Once the sun is gone, their control is officially over, and officially ours. No one Cardinal Nexus related will survive with the new hierarchy established."

"You're right," Uriel snickered. "I'm in position, in the control room. Ready whenever you guys are."

Chamuel gave Michael a nod. "We're set."

He smiled back, making some final readjustments with the altitude of the ship and the aim of the cannons. When the ship was finally stabalized, he slammed a button in the center of his control panel.

VWOOP—!

Energy from the surrounding atmosphere in space itself was sucked into a void and soon overdriven in the barrels of the ship's cannons. Within a matter of charging seconds, heavily bright beams of power shot forth from the seven chambers aimed directly at Ellipses Point, the never-ending tip of Cardinal Nexus HQ which always pointed up towards the sky, directly at the sun up above.

"The Blood Moon…" Chamuel looked at the midnight red sun that painted the world crimson, and envisioned its own bleeding image to be made very soon.

"A hundred years!" Michael, with his hands gripped tightly around the handles aimed at Ellipses Point, laughed hysterically. "We're finally taking back what is ours! The time has finally arrived!"

The two Overseers watched as Ellipses Point contained all the energy that was shot at it. Within Cardinal Nexus HQ's main control room, Uriel frantically typed commands and coordinates into the console to ensure that Ellipses Point's tip was in the right position. It was also here that Azrael's initiation of the transformative plates along Ellipses Point would do its job—directing all the energy contained from the blasts, up towards the direction it pointed—directly at the sun.

"Lights out."

All the energy that wrapped around Ellipses Point was suddenly released in a massive surge towards the sun. The massive sound of an explosion could be heard, ensued by the blinding light of the flares emitting from the sun's erupting destruction. Red energy scattered the voided black skies, spreading off into further distances as the red sun bled its final lasting colors. Soon, the sun would crumble from the sky's premises, and only the voided sky would be left in its passing. Darkness was about to be instilled permanently.

"We've done it, Mother."

Michael grabbed Chamuel's hand and raised into the air with rejoice.

"We have avenged MONA!"
